its pointless arguing with an uncircumcised banza like you! I pity the woman that gave birth to you cos you are a colossal loss to her! You got nothing sensible to contribute here except mad rants! Go and fiddle with your loose dangling watchamancallit! shege dainska! Barawo yaro.

I know you are a circumcized woman.Your bringing up in the brothel has affected your life badly . you have seen too many men on top your mama and now has no respect insulting people for no reason. An Osu Igbo like you, Agaracha whose ambition in life is to walk across the sahara to Italy to sell toto , not to see the Pope. Good luck to you and to your armed robber brother who has just swallowed 100kg of cocaine to carry on ethiopian airline to Bankok.I have nothin to do with Akula nyamiri ashewo like you.

wow!

100kg?
shocked shocked shocked

Do you weigh that much?

How can somebody swallow that much?

That's equivalent to the weight of Nagoma plus one-third of Ndu-chuks.

The point is not that fulanis cant live in CR. If u go to Calabar u will find whole communities of hausa and fulani people e.g bogobiri community. The C/Riverians as ive said earlier are hospitable to strangers and every Nigerian has the right to live anywhere in Nigeria. But ill ask u a question: If u lived in a tiny one room apartment with limited funds and suddenly u were sent 40 homeless and potentially troublesome relatives to live with u, no matter how sympathetic u are to their cause how would u respond? Especially in the light of the fact that u have a brother who lives in a mansion with lots of empty bedrooms and who shares more in common with these 40 homeless relatives? Would it not be reasonable to suggest they move in with ur brother instead?

The fulanis are Nigerians and have a right to live and live anywhere but certainly not such a large number concentrated in a small community. Besides u must understand our misgivings. These pple believe we are infidels and have no right to our beliefs and are promised rewards if they kill us. What right thinking man would open his house to people with this kind of thinking. If we were wicked we would have killed them in their sleep upon arrival. But we are not. We are only reasonable people trying to protect ourselves and that is why we say they must be accomodated somewhere else.

You still don't get the point I'm trying to make. I know fulanis are war like people, and some of them Islamists - but that doesn't negate the fact that they are Nigerians, and they should have a right to live anywhere they want to live in Nigeria - if they can coexist PEACEFULLY with their hosts.

It goes both ways - Northerners can say all Southerners in Nigeria are INFIDELS - and because of that - no Southerner should be allowed to live in North.

The Ijaws are fulanis of the South due to their expansionist and war like nature. The fulanis have no fixed abode on land, while the Ijaws think anywhere there is water belongs to the Ijaws - and MEND is the boko haram of the South. So, if people don't make noise about Ijaws - why should there be so much noise about the fulanis? I'm not a fulani apologist, I'm just trying to set the records straight - in lieu of Nigeria. If we can't live together nor trust each other - may be it's high time we went back to regional government and let every tribe control their own destiny - whilst taking all our power away from the center.

THE FULANIS CANT! The history books can testify to that. I dare say if the refugees were ibo, yoruba or any other more peacable tribe, people's reaction wont be this hostile. As a matter of fact CR has taken in a lot of refugees over the years who have now become indigenes. (The efuts of calabar are originally from cameroon, some tribes of abi LGA are originally ibos from ebonyi). The beauty of organised soceity is where one man's right begins that is where another man's right ends. Their right to live anywhere in the country (and cause troble there i might add) ends where the CR pple's right to live in their country peacefully begins.

By the way, u didnt answer my question.

Your question has no correlation with the topic at hand. Cross River is not a "tiny one room apartment" and 40,000 fulanis living in a state - with more than 1million efik and annang people won't cause the same problems "40 homeless relatives" will cause by moving into my "tiny one room apartment." Cross River is an oil producing state with a small population, and arguably one of the richest states in Nigeria.

I think the problem with fulanis is cattle grazing, and I think if the government can provide a place for them to do that - rather than allow them wander around the nooks and crannies of Nigeria - they would be less troublesome.

Wow! One of the reasons why i like responding to u is because u have a certain level of intellectual maturity and ur posts usually show u have knowledge abt wat u are saying. Pls do not make me form another impression, Make sure of ur facts before u post them (No offence intended.)

For one there are absolutely no annangs in CRS. Secondly, CRS can no longer be considered as oil producing (and hasnt been for the past couple of years or so) as all her oil wells have been ceded to cameroon via bakassi and the rest have been wrestled by the neighbouring Akwa ibom state. CR is arguably one of the poorest state in Nigeria getting almost minimal Federal allocation and having no industries and the like to boost her revenue except for the little she gets from her still struggling tourism industry. The fulanis were taken to 3 little villages in Obanliku LGA of the state and the aaggregate population of these villages is roughly equal to the number of refugees imposed on them. Get the picture?

If u answer my question honestly, u will understand where im coming from with my arguments.

I'll have to do more research to see if the bolded part of your post is plausible. I can't really argue against that because that's your home state. If CR has ceased to be an oil producing state, why is it still included in the SS and ND oil producing states? As for the rest of your post, I think it should have included in the article posted on this thread - I didn't know they were taken to villages where they would dominate their host communities - I thought a refugee camp was provided for them in s secluded place.

Thanks for the information any ways.

Cross River is a very beautiful place IMO. I would definitely visit when next I'm in Naija.

Distorted information flavored to Sound provocative and incite hateful responses is the style on Nairaland. Nobody seems to have the time or inclination to check and ascertain the facts so , the flurry of endless tribal war insults begin. Nairaland will most certainly share in the credit for dismantling Nigeria, when that happens. It will be soon.
Re: Soldiers Escort 4000 Fulani Refugees Into Cross River by Jakumo(m): 12:02pm On Mar 30, 2012
The outrage over the sudden dumping of "cattle-rearing" Fulani squatters in southern Nigeria is both justified and appropriate, in light of the wanton crop damage and murderous exploits of "cattle-rearing" Fulani men all over southern Nigeria with increasing regularity, during the past five years.

Whoever approved military escorts to deliver thousands of un-invited NORTHERN Nigerian settlers into already crowded SOUTHERN Nigerian communities should be ORDERED by President Jonathan Goodluck to provide escort for the rejected settlers BACK where they came from, before bloodshed ensues. That renegade military officer should then be retired with immediate effect, for having the gall to perpetrate such a politically destabilizing caper.

As the Sahara Desert inches inexorably southward due to global warming, more square miles of cattle pasture in Nigeria's arid north turn to barren sand each dry season, forcing the populations of once-nomadic Fulani cattle herders and their teeming offspring to try and forcibly ANNEX all farmland their hungry herds encounter as they roam ever more southward with each passing year. These new climate refugees will be relentless in their onslaught that unleashes ravenous livestock against the crops sown by generations-old rural farming communities. Armed conflict over water resources, grazing land and farmland will define Nigeria's future to a greater extent each year, and this attempted imposition of northern settlers in Cross River State is in fact the proverbial "foot in the doorway", heralding larger, more concerted northern Nigerian invasions in store for the south of the country.

@ NDU_CHUKS
I usually agree to most of ur opinions @ NAIRALAND but on ur opinion on this topic i stand to disagree.

History do not favour this fulani pple wherever they r in Nigeria; it has only being killing and slaughter of their host @ the slightest provication. Please let not play nationalist or politics whenever we see dangaer ahead of us. It is quite unfortunate we have this set of people that r officially called Nigerians.

It is in the best interest of the state and the country @ large to have this pple sent back from where they come from. Have u asked ursef why this 'refuges' were not moved to ENUGU, that is equally close to Benue and Taraba, but cross river.

Please think deep before playing ur nationalism on NAIRALAND.
