Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by kvolander: 5:54pm On May 31, 2010 |
@teejan, Any news from your source? As per what the outcome of the test is and how they'll be selected. I heard they'll allow a cut-off of 50% for folks from the Niger Delta and 70% for non-ND. Another source says they'll use a percentile method to select for the next stage. The first here would grossly be unfair. Please teejan, can you confirm from your source what method is being utilized and when we're likely to hear from them? Cheers. |
Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Nobody: 11:08am On Jun 01, 2010 |
if what you say is true then non niger deltans dont stand a chance with that kind of cut off mark |
Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by teejan: 10:50am On Jun 02, 2010 |
shell is trying to plese the Niger-delta folks, compromising standard all in the name of giving opportunity.I am sure that they know this violates the principle of fair play and equal opportunity.shell this is not the way |
Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Cheksa: 8:50am On Jun 04, 2010 |
@teejay why are u worried about such info thats not a fact, rumors are everywhere. why dont u ask ur insider about the delay as regards the test. |
Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by kvolander: 9:45am On Jun 04, 2010 |
Relax teejan, it's only a hearsay. I noticed that the non-ND were very few so you have nothing to worry about. As long as you did well in the test, you definitely be smiling to ejebga. In the meantime, what's your insider saying the delay now? |
Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by teejan: 10:24am On Jun 04, 2010 |

Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by teejan: 3:25pm On Jun 04, 2010 |

I guess shell is getting set for this year srd. my main concern is the feasibility of concluding the process by july. Knowing fully well that it takes shell avergae of 4 weeks to complete a step in the process. U have not not srd proper. lets wait and see then time will tell. Any body in the house that has info in respect of finance/hr. not new candidates those that have passed srd since last year. Going to like one year we finished our srd and still waiting to be called. Just did'nt want to left out from this thread cos my review had shown fascinating blend of mixed feelings and emotions whilst providing rich, timely and useful infos along the lengthened thread-line in the past esp during each passing phase of shell recruitment process. Hoping that my strands might help in strenghtening this thread. For those yet to be contacted, just keep your hopes high cos SRD scheduling in the past has always be done in batches. Your SRD appointment email might justing be waiting to be delivered to you today! Mine was delivered yesterday. @Cheksa, teejan, tjcrown etc., kudos for keeping this thread strong. Your efforts/contributions to this forum are been assessed by countless bystanders. @xcaper, tests were written in Lagos(10th - 12th May) and PH (17th-19th May). , God will see us through by His grace. |

Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by wumwum007(m): 10:14am On Jun 22, 2010 |
Waoh, i have been away for a long time, so another batch of SRD invitations are out already, I pray all goes well, and the almighty God wont forget those of us on the waiting list too. When is the SRD starting please? Best of luck to all SRD invitees |
Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by abraski: 3:23pm On Jun 22, 2010 |
@wumwum007, thanks for re-igniting this thread. I hope this flame can be sustained. For those awaiting SRD invitations, just keep ur hopes alive. I gathered that only a portion of candidates have be invited so far. Also learnt that this recruitment is meant to add about 40 persons to the already existing candidates on their waiting list (which is more in numbers) hence there is need to still be hopeful. I think SRD will commence on July 1st and probably run through the month. Medicals might follow immediately and offers might be made in August. I don't know when the next class will begin (intends to find out asap) but with the foregoing, September is highly probable. Received a call this morning from Shell requesting that come along with 4 copies each of my resume as well as my technical presentation. Don't know if anywhere received such. Please lets share ideas cos I initial prep was for technical interview as against technical presentation. , God will see us through by His grace. |
