From ability to calmly claim crosses, to the command of their 18-yard box. Mendy exudes confidence and calm, but reverse is the case for Kepa. When your goalie exudes those two qualities, the defence tends to fare better, and there's generally more co-ordination in your box.

Also, check the early chance Burnley had...a reckless goalie might have taken another approach, but Mendy smartly raced out, stopped as he got close to the attacker and used his frame to destabilize said attacker, who planted his attempt off target.

Those little details matter.

I think it was last week Jimmy was telling Patrice that the clean sheet was needed in order to build on but Patrice was having none of it but 2 games on we have not conceded (though it might be too early to draw conclusions).
