Well, I feel its gonna be either of benat, isco or taison. Or at most two.

Interesting write-up below

'Why Isco should be the main transfer target for Chelsea'

On Taison. . .

You ninjas should be worrying about how to fit Oscar into the project first not worrying about Taison who will prolly just come to form line behind Oscar on the bench. Don't we already have enough damn Brazilians in the project?

Dont forget our boy Kevin De Bruyne also. I personally would like to see Kevin become a defensive option to Hazard on the left. Kevin has never learnt to defend in central midfield, but he is a very solid winger in terms of tracking his fullback. Just like you use Ramires or Antonio Valencia instead of Mata or Nani on certain flanks, De Bruyne can be a solid winger on one flank whilst also a central midfield option. . . and dont forget his ambidextrous crossing. . . .

Sometimes, you have to realise that a player may have a weapon so good that instantly makes him WORLD CLASS. . .just like David Beckham, an average footballer with a world class cross that won many titles for United. . . . De Bruyne's crossing is WORLD CLASS, the best in Europe bar none. Only Dusan Tadic can compete with him in crossing, but only De Bruyne can do it with both feet. This should be encouraged, not signing Taison to crowd out the wings! Make space in the squad for DeBruyne to play wings sometimes!!

Where's the variety in the squad?

On Isco. . .

Forget it! Mata already took his position. That guy in the article is chatting shyte! Chelsea need Isco like we need a new ballboy!

On Fullbacks. . .

LB is not a problem as we have both Van Aanholt and Bertrand. Let them compete for the no1 spot. They are both 6.5/10 players and we can afford to give them a chance because their mates on the market are worth no less than £10m, whilst Ashley Cole's mates are worth £25m or over. Infact, Ashley Cole has no mate!

Secondly, no need for RB, only need to train Azpi to cross properly, and Ivanovic is there. Dont forget Thomas Kalas also who plays right-back better than he ever played centre-back.

On Central midfield

Central midfield is an obvious priority. If Chelsea want to solve all problems in few steps, the remedy is simple: Sell Mikel and Ramires, buy TWO DM's. This alone would do. Just remember that the no4 must have speed aligned with technique. Two £10m players alone can turn this team into Champions but some inexperienced Technical Directors would rather complicate the situation by buying players here there and everywhere, looking for a pot at the end of the rainbow, yet never getting there because they did not focus their resources where they should.

On Fellaini

I can think of 20 better options than Fellaini in midfield. Fellaini's feet are too slow in intricate midfield, his body is too inert to turn quickly like you must do in midfield; and he has little pace to chase a counterattack. He cannot even begin to solve our central midfield issue. Don't be fooled that he is shining as a striker now. Last time he played central midfield against Leeds in Carling Cup, they overran him!!!

On squad composition

Some wise men need to realise that the most important skill in football is communication and organisation. I miss the days when we have ninjas like Scott Parker on the bench. Where we have Terry, Carvalho, Lamps, Ballack, Lamps, DD and Cech running the team with superb communication from back to front. Personality is key to a squad, but these days the biggest personality amongst our new bunch (David Luiz) is a negative influence, using his personality to play jokes and lose position rather than organising his teammates and being organised himself!!

In other words, get the right blend of players in the team. Some should be English, 20% should be aged 18-23, 70% aged 23-30, and 10% aged 30+. Have some rugged ninjas like Essien, some skillas like Robben, not the mix of young immature Brazilians and Spaniards we currently have.

I made my pick from reality not just desire. Mikel just signed a 5 year contract, he isn't going anywhere.
Neither is Ramires. If anyone leaves, it's likely to be Romeu. So you are not having 2 DMFs.

Its either you are ignorant, wilfully ignorant or lacking in education.

So the same Mikel you have been praising on here is "not your desire", just "reality" whilst the mumu TD that gave him a 5 year contract is doing a stellar job?

Nonsense. Why should Chelsea 'manage' Mikel just because he has a 5 year contract?

If Mikel is an asset, his 5 year contract should INCREASE his value.

But like I said before, NOBODY WANTS HIM!

Thats the reason he's not going anywhere, because the eediot TD increased Mikel's liability apportionment on our books just last month and nobody on the market is willing to carry such liability for such an incompetent DM.

Even his own manager Benitez dont want him no more, preferring centrebacks and Spanish rookies.

See the Lampard you have been bashing since, teams are swooping around him, but Mikel the liabilility is UNWANTED. I hope he wont become the new Paulo Ferreira/Torres who Chelsea managed in their positions without signing better replacements simply because they could not move them on.

Whats even worse, Emenalo of all people should know Mikel is not anything close to 25 years old, so sanctioning 5 year contract for him is not only Emenalo being incompetent but being complicit in fraud against his own employers! Mikel's best friends P Square who he grew up with are already approaching 32 years old, yet Emenalo approves 5 year contract for him on the fraudulent basis that he is 25.

As for Ramires, I can take Ramires to market today and collect £25million for him from a team that appreciates his hard running, goals and the tactical flexibility he offers them.

There is no excuse for Emenalo not to fix the problems in midfield. Infact, he is increasing the problems by offering these guys new long contracts.

There's no need to be vile. Perhaps I could have expressed myself better.
By "Desire" I was referring to your desire to have a DMF for the sake of it.

If you want to make an argument now based on my statement "for the sake of it", then you are welcome.

------------------------------------------------

The reason I say for the sake of it is that, it is all well and good making a case on the premise of "wanting something better than what we have" but where exactly do you stop? I'll have Vidic over Cahill. Ramos over Ivanovic. Alonso over Ramires. Iniesta over Mata, Messi over Lamaprd, Ronaldo over Hazard, Falcao over Ba and Cavani over Torres. Exactly where do you draw the line? You will always find a better player in every position if you "desire" . . .

However, you and I know this is far from being "practical". Being "practical" is the "reality" I referred to. I am yet to be convinced that apart from your distaste for Mikel's style of play, that there is a pressing need to replace him. There can be a technical argument in wanting something better, it doesn't paint a true picture of the reality of things.

Mikel, if deployed correctly, is fine at want he does and there's no need to replace him. There is a reason why every manager since Mourinho has picked Mikel.

Regarding his contract

You are making an assumption that Emenalo has an overwhelming majority decision on who does and who doesn't get a contract. You either know the inside more than everyone else or you are guessing. Mate this is the UK. Can you go insinuate to your boss at work not to give a subordinate an extension in contract on the back of having a hunch that his birth certificate is fraudulent? What if word gets back to Mikel through the back door that Emenalo insinuated such? This is what you are asking Emenalo to do, on the assumption that

1. Emenalo has that much influence on who get what
2. Emenalo has a lot of influence who on who stays and who goes.

For all we know, maybe only 30% of his technical ideas are implemented by the board and Roman decides on everything else according to how he's done it on his Football Manager. Mate give it a rest.

On the who wants Mikel?

A few words, who wants Carrick? Who wants Fletcher? Who wants Zabaleta? The fact that rumours are floating around that United could give Lampard a contract does not mean that if Chelsea releases Mikel today, nobody will find a need for him. Not many players for big teams are desired while they are there. For Pete's sake, who wanted Kalou and Bosingwa? They've found a place. Just like no one wanted Brown and O Shea until United allowed them to join Sunderland.

This is no stick to beat Mikel with.

Regarding this, which you have said a few times before.

Even his own manager Benitez dont want him no more, preferring centrebacks and Spanish rookies.

There's no need to peddle false info. Mikel was banned for 3 games following the Clattenburg issue. It took immediate effect from Dec 6th.
He missed the Sunderland, Leeds and Aston Villa games from suspension. He came back for the Norwich game and I if I remember was subbed because he had injury.
Since Norwich, we've only played 3 games.

Nateevs you talking crap. Mikel has never been first choice except under Scolari and RDM.

Mourinho and Grant used Maka

Scolari picked him

Hiddink dropped him for Ballack as did Ancelotti when it came to the crunch. AVB dropped him for Romeu and Benitez dropped him for Romeu and then Luiz. Mikel has been relevant this long only because no manager is in charge of transfers. He is simply part of a group of players available to the manager and has never established himself as a first choice in 6 years.

Mikel is only useful if he doesn't have to run ie if Chelsea sit exclusively in their own half. Any attempt to change the playing style and Mikel turns to MOPOL ie Escort

As for Emenalo, he signs and he sells. He recommends and he puts prices on players heads in terms of transfer and wages. Thats the job description of a TD. Mikel is no personal favourite of Roman. Emenalo gave him 5 year contract.

Conjecture at best. This is the job description of a TD at a club with segregated duties. To expect the same from a club with a billionaire owner who's pumped over 1bn pounds of his personal money into it is really really stretching it.

Mikel is a key part of Chelsea's defensive unit, as a defensive midfielder. His performance against Bayern Munich is a testament to that.

torres caused this loss.....
if only he had been aware of what was behind him, he wouldn't be making that back pass to turnbull. chelsea should sell him, he's past his expiry date. demba ba, what a classy player!!!! he came in within 10 mins and was booked for diving and missed 2 headers.....he had 3 good chances n squandered it but hey, don't blame him - he's still acclimatising. he also scored a goal from an offside position but errrrr, they all count!!
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by codedguy1(m): 10:44pm On Jan 09, 2013
Ba was more of a threat in the 10mins he was on the field compared to Torress who spent 80mins. Its obvious if Ba had had about 20-edmins he would have atleast scored a goal.

I dey laugh o! Ivanovic needs to show us the betting slip for the bet he placed before the match!

When Rafa Benitez is ready to be successful, he will be successful. Ya'll know what I'm talking about.

For clues, listen to the chants of "we want Demba Ba, we want Demba Ba" and the boos the Spanish homosexual received as he came off.

This is what I've been calling for. We are a big club. Boo the cancers on the pitch holding us to ransom like fans at other big clubs do.

Some shekpe lovers cannot sleep well tonight. Torres will need psychological counselling in the morning after the fans let him know he is a cancer tonight.

There's only one Di Matteo!

How many shots on target did the DUD get while on the field?

I understand the midfielders hate him thats why they were reserving all the chances for Demba Ba

Maybe if Demba Ba had played 80mins instead of the DUD Chelsea wouldnt have been scoreless

- Rafa is no better than RdM FACT!
- Ivanovic should sit out 4 matches as punishment without pay. I'm convinced he sold that match . Maybe the Serbian warlords are after him.
- Oscar should hit the gym. ASAP!
- Mata missed a glorious chance but he has rescued the team many times this season so, we go easy on him.
- Hazard should become more influential if we are looking to evolve.
- Torres should NEVER PLAY For Chelsea again. ok, maybe, send him to the reserves. His confidence is completely gone. I've never seen a worse striker than this guy. Totally useless.

Others were just about average.

Ba had more "impact" in 10 mins

My .2 cents.
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by FBS: 10:57pm On Jan 09, 2013
Rafael Benitez will come under some heavy flak after this defeat. It's another home game when the Blues have failed to find the net, and Demba Ba showed more threat in his 10-minute cameo than Fernando Torres managed in 80 minutes.

i wont blame any defender, no pressure and avenue to deliver the ball in front leads to more pressure in midfield and inevitably more pressure on the defenders.TORRES AND BENITEZ are just idiots and i dont know why they are still at chelsea, and as for the booing,we started too late, should have started that immediately torres started his complaining after we won the UCL. am sure when he leaves chelsea (inevitable) ,he would yarn nonsense about the lack of support and claim some other club are bigger than chelsea ,he deserves what malouda is going through more than any other person in that squad.this is not chelsea this is torres fc,and am no supporter of torres fc. the momentum was always going to be with chelsea even if they were playing with 6 players. they were 0-1 down at home to a mid-table team. the longer the game goes, the more pressured the swansea defenders would get. there's also a question of fatigue. demba's fresh legs in 10 mins against the tired legs of swansea defenders - who would triumph?
