twizer: Thank you so much pals for your help so far! I still need to know how long it takes before one is issued an admission letter. I hv completed my applications for u of m and u of s and I m yet to hear from them!

It depends on the department you applied to...In most cases, they consider your application after deadlines irrespective of when you completed your application...so, check the deadline for your department, with that you would know when to expect a decision on your application...you can also contact the Graduate Secretary of the department to find out more....

please, Humber college gave me admission for PGD but I want to ask if I must pay for Tuition and accommodation before I'm given visa? Although my offer shows only money for tuition($13,500) and textbooks & supplies($900). Accommodation fee was not included and although I saw link for accommodation and its charged about $8000. Pls, is it wise to pay the non-refundable $500 for accommodation when its not stated in the offer letter. I don't know if its required by the embassy. Please, urgent answer!!!!!!

Saintp: Thank you. I dont have one now bt i'm expecting . Jus want to start preparing so it dosent take me by surprise. Did u submit ur own account statement, if so hw much? I can save up to 700k be4 the time for the application and i also have a car valued at 750k which can be sold to beef up the account. But i want to really know if its neccessary for someone on full scholarship.

Your funding is not guaranteed, as all fundings are always conditional........
CDHC wld wanna see that you have sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees and living expenses incase you end up not getting the expected funds.....
Bros abeg look for a sponsor and submit documents like others....

Bros, One step at a time....
Apply for your study permit first and wait for CDHC to give further instructions.... Then you would know what to do with accomodation.....

lucky Don: @Earthgreeners and Kellytop,pls dudes my application is 3 months now with May start date and i am yet to hear from them.pls advice do i inquire from them or still give them time?

Dont inquire from them. You are only allowed to inquire from them if your application has passed the maximum processing time of 6 months. If you inquire from them now, they will reply you with their normal copy and paster format that your application is in queue for processing and bla bla bla....

Check the Deadline for your department. That would give you an idea on the date to expect a notification......
I completed my application since October 2012 but the deadline for my dept is February 1 (Masters in Natural Resources Management)....so Im expecting a notification any moment from now...

You can also send email to the Grad Secretary of d department you applied to....

Morning guys, did anyone apply to Uni of Victoria and Uni of Ottawa?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by blawi1(f): 9:02am On Feb 26, 2013
@Stone2x

Hi, now that you've clarified your thoughts, it's easier to offer you info. Regarding Skilled immigration, that program is suspended for now (since July 2012). Hopefully it will be reviewed and recommenced later this year.
You could try applying for a job and you emigrate as a worker. Miss Ahoy did that so she can help with more info. Checkout wwww.cic.ca for more info on the requirements. All the best.
