There is something i dont understand about we Nigerians and nairaladers in particular. When we have a positive report about the Nigeria, we beat it down, criticise it and question the rational or the credibility of the organisation that released the report. But when its a negative report, we swallow it hook, line and sinker. We dont even bother to cross check the veracity of such reports or the credibility of the body making such negative report, we simply accept it and broadcast it over and over again. I find it disheartening that we are more interesting in running down our own land while citizens of countries with worse socio-economic woes are busy defending theirs and projecting the poitives, we celebrate the negative. Am just wondering, why are we so eager to destroy our own country?

really a great news, but they really need to do more in the area of sponsors, coverage and packaging, all i know about our league are the results ( which the home team is usually the winner or at worst gets a draw) after the week games.

1) Tunisia
2) Ghana (have you watched these guys? Their ball control and distribution is second to none. Our players need to learn basic skills from their Ghanaian Premier League counterparts).
3) Nigeria
4) Egypt

SA is way down. Those guys just have the money. Skill levels are very low.

The OP post shows the ranking is based on strength of the league not organization. It even goes to show the metric used in reaching their result which seem to be the performance of our clubs in African Competition (Which I have to say as improved over the years). Yes in terms of organisation the Nigerian League still lags behind (but the situation has greatly improved from the situation in the 90s) Yes south african league has better organisation but in terms of quality of their clubs in terms of strength.. they don't even come close to what we have in the Nigerian League

I think on a whole while the Nigerian league still has a long way to go. Things has definitely improved, the league is on TV and players welfare has definitely improved.. even the quality of playing surfaces and stadiums has improved from what it use to be.

We always say that things are going wrong in the country, how will things not go wrong when peeps like you always wish the country ill-luck. A honour was given to your country instead of you to appreciate, you keep on blabbing. I don't think that you watch the NPL, and also i can bet with my last coin that you can't mention all the teams in the NPL not to talk of knowing what is happening there but yet you feel okay saying all port of nonsence. The Nigerian league is a competitive one in the sense that the club on top of league table are just gaping the club in the sixth position with just 10 points, so i'm not surprised if Nigerian Premier League is ranked the highest in Africa. The IFFHA or whatever have their criteria for ranking and that could be one of them.
