School is fine oo. Im african american now llooolll. When ure coming dont bring anything with chicken flavour or the immigration pple will seize it. You can bring maggi or know cubes in other flavours like crayfish but not chicken. Make sure you wrap everything in newspaper then put them inside ziploc bags. Bring antibiotics.
Grounded egusi, dry pepper, grounded ogbono, plenty maggi/know cubes, dry fish, robb, peppersoup mix, dry ede, plenty garri, if you like semolina, grounded crayfish, beans, ukazi, dont worry about dry leaves, theres spinach here that i use for all soups. Theres plantain, okro and white beans here. There's better curry and thyme here. Pls dont bring okporoko so your roomate will not run away. llooolll

God bless you too! If a change of status is that easy, students would not stress for F1 visas.

Are you aware that authorized stay in the US is governed by the duration of stay marked on your I-94? Even if the US Embassy issues you a 2-year visiting visa, the Immigration Officer at the port of entry determines how long you can stay here. Say you are coming in for a wedding, and he stamps 3 weeks on the I-94 (you can apply for an extension, but on what grounds? Are you pregnant and cannot travel? What circumstances...?) You also need to explain to USCIS why your intentions changed from visitor to a prospective student. HCCS will NOT, NOT change your status and getting into a 4 yr University is not a days job. On a B1 visa, you cannot register for classes and claim domicile in the state of TX, no state ID, no drivers license ... go get a student's visa.

I heard someone did it, but what if your application is denied? Do you think that the Embassy in Nigeria will issue a student's visa next time? I doubt it. EDITED

@yvete, is a lucky(risk) try; four of my friends try it, one was lucky ,three were denied, now the three are regretting trying it because Nigeria Embassy have been denying them of F1 visa since two years ago.

Isobutylene: Hi guys,I really appreciate you guys for providing valuable information on this thread. Now, I need advice from guys already in the States. I have been admitted into the University of South Carolina, Lousiana State University and University of Houston for a graduate program (PhD), with full tuition waver and assistantship. Now, I would like to know the best of these 3 in terms of cost of living, life in general (i.e.boring or lively) and relaxation centers. I do not trust my findings on the internet so I need a first-hand information from my fellow Nigerians. Thanks in anticipation.

Dear Bros/Sista,

As per Baton Rouge, place is dry as in sahara kinda dry but that helps us concentrate on our studies... No relaxation center at all but u can come n hang out with me cool
