Hi Genbuhari & others,
I seem to be concerned with this particular problem even though doctors say it shouldn't be a thing of worry to me. We are always advised to babydanced every other days during the peak/ovulation period leaving at least a day for the body to be able to restored lost semen while some will tell you to BD everyday to increase your chance of conceiving. My problem is that I believe I dont produce much qty of semen and it gives a psychological concern. Each time I mention this, the Dr says I should be more concerned with the quality and not quantity. Though I so much believe in that assertion, I still dont feel ok when I assume I dont release much. So what could be done in terms of food/drug/fruit that can aid the production of semen so that even if I BD every other day, I can still expelled much.

@ Limar, You have the best of advice from Ejadamen. You must relax and try not to put ursef under too much pressure. Though the side distractions are difficult to ignore especially for a lady, you just need to concentrate more on understanding your body. I hope you husby is playing the necessary psychological roles to help you overcame this. Dont ever assume you are alright or your DH is alright, seek for a professional doctor and I pray you come across a very helpful and truthful one.

What could this be?

She had her regular period of 28/29 days for the past 6 months. We met a new dr. who started off with series of test and the only thing he could still refer as of concerned is ovarian cyst (he claimed she had used much of clomid and other egg-boosing nutrients that made so much eggs to drop which the ovarian cyst were yet to clear )but he doesn’t want to bother himself with that for now until all tests are conducted. He advised HSG and on the 10th day of her last cycle, she had the HSG. 2/3 days later she complains of serious pain the stomach, nausea, vomiting, headache & temperature, on returning to the dr. he performed blood and urine test and came out with a result of typhoid. She was placed on treatment (5 days injection with drugs). But on the 3rd day, these aforementioned symptoms became more severe & she was admitted for 5 days receiving treatment for typhoid. She was discharged after showing signs of wellness and after the 3rd day at home, (21st day of her cycle) something like her period occurred with thick (I mean thick, clogged blood) like liver dropped in various sizes for about 5 times the first day, and it continued the second day, we are just observing whether the normal blood flow will occur and for how many days.
My wife was convinced she had took in but lost it.

i'm here my dear sister, just recovered from a throat and chest infection, baby is kicking as if he/she is making popcorn in my stomach and the weight/load is starting to get too heavy for my small frame, everything hurts and i'm always tired.

It just that you can’t help it sometimes, we are a young couple of 27-30 who dreamt of having children early and get off that experience of life by 35 at most. But after 2 years you realized GOD has another plan. i am 12 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy, ulra sound sacn revealed that i have an ovarian cyst in my left ovary which is about 5.8, and the doctor said in some cases it grows but woulld be bad if it gets bursted or twisted, because when such occurs i will be operated upon ( God forbid) but in most cases the cyst remains there untill the baby is born then i will be operated upon to remove it. he said i should pray that it doesnt grow beyond proportion.

pls help me with an advise if you really know about this cyst of a thing in a pregnant woman and also pray along with me cos i cant afford to loose this baby.

What tests have you done? and what were the results?

Have you done a semen analysis?

Talk of test, we started off in a private clinic but the problem is that the doctor also works in a govt hospital and had to choose his time between his personal clients which timing sometimes odesnt work well for us. Unfortunately he’s just starting up his private clinic and has no specialist that can deputise in his absence. Another reason why I discontinued with him is the issue of money. I’m financially ok (irony) don’t get me wrong; having children is a worthwhile investment and If I have I won’t mind spending millions to have them. I have 2 friends who had the same problems and used Govt hospital with positive results, so they advise me and for 7-8 months, we were doing one test or the other. The problem I have is typical of such place, no specific designate, I can tell you my wife hardly met the same doctor twice during this period, We did all sort of test instead of telling us what they discover, they will write another one and we continue, my wife must have done up to 10 different types of tests including HSG. It got a stage one doctor even suggest repeating that test because he couldn’t see or fathom the observation/doctor’s comment about the first one. Believe, I never wished my wife to go through that test again. For other test my wife will have to force the lab. Analyst of where she did the test to explain if there is problem and most confirm everything is ok. Even drugs they don’t prescribe. My own semen test was certified 60% ok. The Lab analyst told me it’s still Ok but the doctor will help me to boost it further through prescriptions, do you know that the doctor corroborates that but didn’t recommend anything. I came across TTC on NL and decide to seek opinion and at the same time seek advise on anybody that can recommend a specialist because at this stage I wont mind borrowing.
We have been trying some of the suggestions you put forward ealier to see where we are lacking and where we can improve.

But I believe we too are lucky & favoured as long as HE remains on the Throne.

Masido, i feel for you, since 2 years when married we have never witnessed late arrival until the last two months and we were already thanking GOD that HE has done it. You can imagine how we felt we the thing surfaced 6 days later. @ mypeace, share in your grief and being in the same situation, I can understand how you feel.

This is a very nice thread and I'm happy to join. My wife & I have been married for 2 years now without any child. We av tried all medical assistance with not success. We are really getting worried because we are the sort of couple that desire having them early & concentrate on raising them. She'll be 30 later this year & I'll be 32. There has never been any sign of pregnancy & she had been having her cycle within 28 days. But from January this year, It's been twice at 32 & 33 days. The Dr was worried that may be she stressed herself; or may it's just a fake symptom. We believe in the efficacy of prayer & we've been doing that. The problem is she believe more in the spiritual angle (affliction) to our problem while I tend to discourage her from thinking in that direction. There is no single scan she has not done up to HSG (oh I pray we have a good news later so that we can testify; she discussed the process & i feel sorry for my wife & prayed she never have cause to do it again).I'm still hoping & believing that GOD will do it irrespective of the aliment or affliction like HE did that of stages et al. Pls remember us in your prayer
