DevilsEqual:
cheesy

Reno is head and shoulder above Obi in everything "intellectual". He's far more vast and a bigger reader than Obi

Reno should know that Obi wouldnt have known these things as Obi is so myopic that he doesnt even make thorough findings before posting

So, Obi didnt say anything about Tobi Amusan but did say few things about Favour Ofili.

Man is a tribalist. I'm sure he didnt praise that Yemisi Ogunleye that won gold for Germany too

Having a tribal leader is self-destruction. Obi isnt truly fit to lead anyone, except into wilderness cheesy
Kai, so true honestly 😆

fullclub:
my dream was that immediately I came over, i and my dependant will search for jobs.. work and pay bill. but that is not feasible as I am seeing it.

i started this process with 15 million naira then when naira nose dive i had to borrowed extra 15 million to top it with interest of almost 2 million naira. landed in uk, started seeing the reality on ground

i have been in UK since 1 month plus. but getting a job as a migrant or new commer without UK experience is not easy.
in fact i have sent over 200 job application for cleaner, care assistant etc but all came with a sorry we have moved on to the next stage or you don't have uk experience.

school fees has to be paid. everyone here in tight corner... school has sent mail threatening to report to the immigration if school fees is not paid in the next few weeks to most Nigerians here.

no job, house rent is expensive.. going for 450 to 600 pounds per month.

travelling through student route is not really easy because you have to balance between work and school.. 'even at that where is the job as a new migrant.

Please if you are considering coming to UK for now.. please put on hold. the crowd from Indians, Pakistani, Malaysia, china etc is overwhelming.

it's not worth selling your home to be here.

i sleep in indeed and all this job site.. still yet nothing, bills mounting up.

all my colleague i came with are still with no jobs in other cities

after spending 13 million coming here with extra 3k dollars now almost exhausted chai

if u know you don't have full school fees, house rent for 12 months, upkeep.... running to 35m to 40m please stay back... stay back or apply through skill route.

edited with more info.
Depends on what u do. I came to England 26th of September, 2023, I am an IT person, saw a computer warehouse where they recycle computers in my neighborhood in Birmingham and walked into it to notify them I was available for jobs. They asked of If I could fix Computers and tested me for 3 days. And I passed. I've received my first salary for 40.8hours which is about £462 thereabouts. I've also downloaded nextdoor app to notify neighbors that I fix Computers, I got a message from a primary school teacher to format her PC and fix RAM. I made £75 from that. Just bought a bike from facebook marketplace to aid my movement. I'm walking into a local pizza delivery shop to notify of my availability for deliveries on weekends.
Japa isn't for everyone. U need skills to survive.

Hate him or love him, El-Rufai did an outstanding job in Kaduna State.

If not for his obsession with Islam and Fulani agenda, El-Rufai or Zulum should be the next Nigerian president from the north. For now, Zulum is the right man for that job.
I agree, but Zulum is more of a people pleaser than doing what the state needs.
Zulum needs to do more than feeding the populace bags of rice and indomie.
He is trying in terms of infrastructure though.

Hello all,

I don't know if this is the right platform but I have a question regarding types of visas.
I've rounded up my studies in the UK but I co-own a business with a Nigerian-British which was incorporated in April 2023.

Besides the post-study visa, am I not eligible for another kind of visa?

Hello,

Please was your application successful? First Bank did not respond to the email from UKVI in my case. It appears that they have a problem. I contacted them and they are telling me they have escalated to the proper unit and I should expect a call back in 48hrs. Time is far gone. Does anyone have a quick fix for this? I did my biometrics on the 18th of July.

Please how did you know they didn't respond to UKVI? I also used First bank but in Abuja, did bio on Monday

Please can you guys suggest a very strong sleeping tablet for me? I really need to sleep and stay asleep, i mean lock everywhere up, eat, take the tablet and sleep a very deep sleep, a kind of sleep that i will not know what is happening around...

Please help a brother, i don even begin de slim like who them de squeeze blood commut for body....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY HUMBLE SELF BTW...
Guy, try and exercise. Or you can take a long walk of about 15k steps. It works. Just last week I adviced a friend, and he's been sleeping well. Thank me later

Good morning house.
Please for those going in January, does it mean they don't have access to the post study work visa? Or is it just the dependants that aren't allowed?
Please I'll anticipate a response.

Agriculture / Re: What Is Nigeria's Biggest Agricultural Export Now? by adeblow(m): 9:16pm On Jun 26, 2023
mariahAngel:
I read that back in the day, Nigeria was one of the world's biggest exporter of Cocoa, groundnuts, kolanut, bitter kola, etc.
Those were what made the Nigerian economy a very stable one, according to history.

So, what happened?
At what point did we get it wrong?
What can we do to make things right?

I believe if Nigeria will be better again, it will be majorly through agricultural exports.

Our population is another factor. The northern part with it's booming population with less agricultural value accounts for the reducing per capita income
