Trading NASD through most stockbrokers can be frustrating as liquidity is low and you have to wait for them to place your order 'at their convinience'. If NASD interest you go for their app and trade directly on it but be guided it's not the NGX

Please who knows anything about NASD OTC
Is that another stock exchange or what?

Read this

Please note I am not the writer and not acquitted with him.

Nasd also have an app on playstore with which you can create an account and trade NASD OTC stocks- which I use. However NASD market is not very exciting at least for now.

A quick question: Does anyone know if one can have multiple trading accounts with MorganCapital?

This is no longer allowed. Many years back you could have multiple accounts with same broker but no longer allowed. However since you mentioned Morgan Capital I suspect that you are looking for a broker that has similar trade condition and platform like Morgan Capital. If that be your intention check out Atlas Portfolio's CitiTrader, they use same platform and they have the closest fees to Morgan Capital at present both brokers beat all others down in terms of trading fees. This may have been addressed as I have not not been on the platform so frequently of recent.

I will definitely go for Oil Palm plantation because of certain risks elements. The risk of loses is lower for oil palm plantation.

That will be 200% because I bought at similar price and just crossed 300% profit(though I wish I was heavy in it grin). That's a great feature from trove, in the past, same can also be done with meristem but it will be ignored until future when applicable.

You are correct 200% not 300%. Post corrected

Hope you know with TROVE you don't have a CSCS account in your name. I used Trove till 2022, at a point I asked them for my CSCS details, the moment they said my investments are not tied to my individual CSCS account, I sold all the shares I had on the platform and moved to a real stockbroking firm..To credit me my funds took them 3 weeks after I initiated withdrawal, with serious mails and threat ooo.

Not exactly right. I requested for a individual account before I begin trading local stocks with them. So I have my Sigma Securities CSCS number after filling relevant forms and waiting it out which I asked to be tied to my CHN used with other brockers. Some times more details and options are available when one takes time and effort to get at it.

I Use Trove. Trove sucks most of the time. Can anybody recommend the best trading app for Local and international stocks?

Trove has its challenges but I continue to patronize Trove alongside my two other stockbrokers because of a benefit it offers that the other two does not. On the Trove trading platform you can set limit for sales or buy mandates at very distant figures from current price level. For example while the market price was about N8 I set a sell mandate for UBA at N23 (about 200% up) and forgot about it just recently it hit target and boom which I did not anticipate will be so soon at the time I set the mandate With most other stockbrokers the maximum distance to current price is restricted to 10% differential. Not promoting Trove but presenting my experience, However the global market which is their flagship is something I don't use as I have far superior option that is not readily available to most Nigeirans

Redemption is in dollars. Subscription is actually in dollars, it's just to help some interested investors who find it difficult to get dollars that is the reason for the naira option during the subscription, otherwise, every transaction is done in dollars, it's not a general industry practice but rather more of a peculiar case.

Thank you for the information, it is highly appreciated.

Go with Norrenberger especially if you don't have dollar. They accept naira but their conversion rate is always slightly above black market rate on any of the day you are investing.

Contact me if you decide to go with them.

Thanks for the update. I just hope redemption payment can be to $ account when even subscription is done by naira payment and they won't insist on naira payment.

People are yet to know TIP and also it is listed on the growth section of NSE, not everyone can see it for trading.By the time the stock becomes popular, the price will be heading to #3.Let them continue with improved results, the free float will do more magic as investors will be scrambling to get some shares.Be patience and give it 12 months.I see the company having significant stakes in some of the oil companies they are in contracts with.

THE INITIATES PLC (TIP) https://initiatesgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/TIP-Investment-Brochure.pdf

I will take TIP as a defensive stock that very likely will grow value but will be classified in my personal book keeping as a defensive stock. I very much doubt it as a fast money spinner. Waste management will always be a challenge so this present upside potential for the stock and it ts a stock pick that is quite likely for regular dividend payments.

Meristem Securities dollar mutual fund will open on Monday 11 December, minimum subscription is $500 just like Norrenberger. I am considering getting on the dollar mutual fund train with either of these two companies. I like opinions of comparison to help choose between these two companies. Thanks in advance

is Nigerian market profitable

I would say that Nigerian stock trade can be quite profitable. The daily price rang is regulated to a maximum of 10% meaning that can lose or gain more than 10% of the stock value in a day. With US markets the price range can present a 2000% in a day or 99.9% loss in a day
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by agbekoya(m): 12:23pm On Oct 09, 2023
When I started with Trove I asked for an individualized NGX trading account, supplied my existing Chn and they sent me forms to fill for an NGX trading account. Technically opening a trading account with Sigma Securities who thaye are in partnership with. So every stock I buy on Trove is in directly owned and tied to my Chn. The account was opened with the supplied Chn and I got a CSCS no for it. This is the way I trade NGX on Trove.
I will recommend that to anyone trading NGX with Trove along with their US trading offer.

Olaide1295:

Yeah, but the difference here is I never have to fill any form with Trove.
I use Meristem/trade for majority of my shares though. But I'd have wished they can collect the details in a form electronically and submit it to the registrars on customer's behalf.

This would improve the User experience significantly.

@Incroyable23 Please note that Avatrade does not offer real stock trading per SE but stock CFD ( Contract for Difference) you would be buying at some leverage margin which multiply your loss percentage if the stock goes down. However for stock CFD allows you to sell a stock you don't even own just like inverse/short markets in real stock trading..

Question for NASD Active players, is there a broker that has live trading platform option or fast execution looking for alternative to Investment one ( I am aware You are not liable for your suggestions... as well as if there's no offer there's nothing to buy) .Thanks for your suggestion.

The VPN I used did not require any telephone detail. I used Thunder - a free vpn.

The issue of phone number may probably arise if you are registering a new trading account. I registered my Trading212 account a few years ago while they still accepting Nigerian clients and has maintained same Nigerian telephone number on the account.

Try and use a VPN..
And give us a feedback...
I fund every month ...

It worked on. I have been able to fund my Trading212 using GTB $card, funny that I have tried a few other solutions except this and even send them complaint email to which they replied I can't use cards issued by Nigeria banks. Even my UK bank card was rejected on the basis that I registered a Nigeria address & need to change my add to UK. T212 has stress me in this aspect o.
Thanks again for this solution.

Absolutely wrong...

I have been using Trading212 for some years and was able to fund and withdraw with my GTB Usd card till they stopped it last year. At first using Google pay provided a way round it but that was also stopped and their customer service response wass that they have blocked cards issued from Nigeria banks. It may not be solved by using a VPN as it' is not tied to your physical location rather the card number as your card number will alwaays show the country where is was issued. While on a recent visit to the UK I tried using my Nigeria card and it was also reject - my authentic experience. Anyone who has successfully funded Trading212 using a Nigerian bank issued card in the past one year can give a feedback here.
