Religion / Ladies Does God Sanction Marrying More Than One Wife? by AlamTara: 7:58pm On Mar 05, 2009
God sanctions marrying more than one wife. Why do pastors and bishops of churches today tell their women it is wrong?

God Sanctions marrying more than one wife, Infact God has a commandment for men who have more than one wife

Deuteronomy 21:15
If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:
16: Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:
17: But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.

This passage proves that Abraham did not offer Isaac for sacrifice. The truth is that Abraham offered Ishmael for sacrifice and God provided a lamb for him instead.

Now God sanctions marrying more than one wife. Indeed the nation of Israel is built from the children of the FOUR WIVES OF ONE MAN.
The 12 Tribes of Israel are the twelve children of the four wives of one man

Let the truth be told. I know the truth is bitter but God loves those men who have more than one wife and who have relationships with more than one woman.

@bindex @ dalaman @Ndipe

Hello house I it is like we are all enjoying the discussion so much that we have forgotten what brought us here. Hey, WHO CAN ANSWER THE QUESTION?

Christians please help me. Answer the question. If no one can answer the question it means that "In Truth Jesus did not Die on the Cross" and that means they have been lieing to the world for over 2000 years.

Here is the question once again, WAS JONAH DEAD WHEN HE WAS INSIDE THE BELLY OF THE WHALE?

@ Bindex Yes yes the fire in hell will be quenched with your piss. I agree. Just answer the question. Yes Dalman and Ndipe I accept all that you have to say. Please answer the question. WAS JONAH DEAD WHEN HE WAS INSIDE THE BELLY OF THE WHALE?

@ Vicade   @bindex   @ georgecso  @abiodun92 @ kola oloye

Thank you for your learned observations. Thank you. May I remind you that you have not answered the question. Please give a simple yes or no answer.

Was the prophet Jonah dead when he was inside the belly of the whale for three days and three nights??

If he was dead inside the belly of the whale then Jesus  was also dead inside the belly of the earth for three days and three nights.

But if Jonah was not dead indide the belly of the whale then Jesus was not dead inside the belly of the earth.

Next question

When Jonah was swallowed by the whale was he dead or alive?

If he was dead then Jesus when he was brought down from the cross was also dead.

But if Jonah was alive when he was swallowed by the whale then Jesus was alive when he was brought down from the cross.

Think of it. Please do not stray from the topic. Discussions about Jesus being 100% God and 100% man can be looked into later. Whether Muhammad(S.A.W) ascended into heaven is not the issue here.

Please house answer the question. WAS JONAH DEAD WHEN HE WAS INSIDE THE BELLY OF THE WHALE?

@ Alam Tara

1) Do u know what death is?
2) Do u know what happen when animals like dog, goat, donkey dies?
3) Do u really know what happen when Human beign dies?
4)When a human beign dies, what happen to the (1)body, (2) soul and the (3)spirit here on earth and afterlife?

we all believe in judgement day right? Then where are we going to get the New Body to use on that day since our old body had been buried here on earth?

Please Alam Tara kindly answer these questions

@georgesco
I am not a medical doctor nor a veterinary doctor. So I cannot answer those questions authoritatively. What I am saying is that if you believe in tithing, if you believe in Jesus and what he said then what do you understand by what Jesus said " No sign shall be given to you except the sign of Jonah"

Georgesco Did Jonah Die in the belly of the whale?

If he died in the belly of the whale then Jesus died. If Jonah did not die in the belly of the whale then Jesus did not die.
God Bless you as you see the light and follow the truth
Religion / Re: Jesus Did Not Die On The Cross. by AlamTara: 1:22pm On Feb 04, 2009
I did not say it. Jesus said it. Mathew 12:40. Who should I believe more? Jesus himself or people who do not understand what he is saying?
Religion / Jesus Did Not Die On The Cross. by AlamTara: 12:48pm On Feb 04, 2009
JESUS NEVER DIED ON THE CROSS. HE WAS NEVER BURIED. AND HE NEVER ROSE FROM THE DEAD

Hi do you believe in the Holy Bible? Do you believe what Jesus himself said? Well Jesus has told us that he never died on the cross.

When the Pharisees asked Jesus to give them a sign this is what Jesus said to them." A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. But no sign shall be given to you except the sign of Jonas. As Jonas was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale so the son of man (Jesus) shall be in the belly of the earth. Mathew 12:40

The question is DID JONAS DIE?

the answer is NO JONAS DID NO DIE IN THE STORY WE ARE TOLD IN THE BIBLE. JONAS WAS A SIGN TO THE NINEVITES. HE DID NOT DIE.

You ask me to prove it? OK

1) When Jonas was on the deck of the ship was he dead or alive? answer 1) Jonas was alive.

2) When Jonas was thrown out of the ship, was he dead or alive? answer 2) Jonas was alive.

3) When Jonas hit the water of the sea was he dead or alive? answer 3) Jonas was alive.

4) When Jonas was swallowed by the whale was he dead or alive? answer 4) Jonas was alive.

5) When Jonas was in the belly of the whale was he dead or alive? answer 5) Jonas was alive.

6) When Jonas was spat out by the whale was he dead or alive? answer 6) Jonas was alive.

At no time in the story(parable)(Sign) was Jonas dead. Never. Jonas did not die. Jesus in his usual mystery has told everyone." Just as it was with Jonas so shall it be with the Son of Man." Jonas spent three days and three nights in the belly of the whale. And all the time he was alive. Jesus also spent three days in the belly of the earth AND AT NO TIME WAS HE DEAD SO THERE WAS NEVER ANY RESURRECTION.

Friends JESUS was put on the cross .Yes. But he did not die. He was brought down alive.

The Romans devised crucifixion as a long, slow and painful death. To speed up the process of death the legs of those crucified were broken. Jesus' legs were not broken because the soldiers thought he was dead.

You and i know's that riches is not a true show of greatness, and achievements.

@banom I know how you feel. But I would like you to take this thing objectively.Other Northerners who have contributed alot to the development of the Nigerian Society include
1) Sir Ahmadu Bello.
2) Abubakar Gumi He translated the Holy Qur'an into Hausa.

Banom it is politicians who cause wars and other societal problems not the pure religions.

Politics / Re: What Can We Nigerians Do To Make Nigeria Great ? by AlamTara: 5:53pm On Dec 11, 2008
Root cause of Nigeria's problem is Corruption! Let's put an end to it.
I can't think of one facet of Nigerian society which corruption is not a part of.

@ Josboy4lif

Corruption is a human thing. Even in your heaven of America did you know that President Elect Obama is asking the Governor of Illinois to resign because of corrupt practices. Just as in Nigeria they want to use wuru wuru to fill the Senate seat left by Obama.

To be honest i think this post would do nothing but forment religious animosity and please poster you could conduct your independent research. You wouldnt get anything positive here on NL. Your post would just start another thread of religious bashing please!!!

People just view and move on no need to comment!!!

@Lammie01.

A corn is a painful thing. It is caused by a wound usually on the foot that is not allowed to open up  and heal.

Usually when you wear shoes that are too tight you get corns.

As a defense mechanism the body piles skin on top of the wound thinking that is the solution. Unfortunately the wound is not allowed to heal because of the layers of skin. A corn is a painful thing. The truth also is a painful thing.

Lammie01 we need to face our shortcomings. We cannot hide from all the negatives in our society. if not like the Corn on your foot you and everyone else will continue to suffer.

Knowledge is better than money.

@Muhsin. My dear friend I borrowed your statement so that I can learn. The Bible teaches us that people perish(die) because of ignorance and becos of lack of knowledge. Hosea ch4 v6, as well as Isaiah Ch 5 verse 13.

The Qur'an teaches us thru the Hadith as reported by Bukhari and Muslim that " Seek knowledge even if you have to walk to China to get the knowledge" Nigerians are fighting themselves (perish) because of lack of knowledge.

Let us learn and find out and know where we are making mistakes so that we can correct ourselves.

We will Succeed, Together Everyone Achieves More smiley
Religion / Re: Stop & Think: Did God Create Any Religion? by AlamTara: 2:55pm On Dec 11, 2008
The question above is very simple:did God create or institute any religion?
If yes which one and prove yourself beyond reasonable doubt.

It depends where you are viewing it from!!! But to me God created  or was instrumental in instituting ALL RELIGIONS. The Qur'an tells us that "Allah created all of us  from a single man and woman and he created us into nations and tribes and he created the variations in our languages and tongues. He created us different not for us to despise and fight one another but for us to learn from and help one another" Holy Qur'an Sura Al Hujurat-Chapter 49 Verse 13

The Bible tells us that "the life is in the blood." Medicine has taught us that there are different blood groups and blood types. Therefore the very life that we live is different in all aspects. A blood type 0 cannot use a blood type A.

We are different. Let us learn from one another!!!

Alas some people are so inconsiderate of other peoples feelings. It is becos some people think their own life, their own blood , their own religion is the best that is why we hear " burn, baby, burn, "

In the end all wars political or religious are fought for money. Money is the one true universal religion.

Politics / Re: Yar'adua Seeks End To Immunity For Leaders by AlamTara: 12:37pm On Dec 11, 2008
I agree with you that Yaradull is not out of his mind. My point is that you cannot claim you are fighting corruption while you continue to hob-nob with the vanguards of corruption from our very recent past.

@Reptyle You dont realize it but what you have called the man is very apt!! Check your spelling man. YARA'DULL.But I agree with you. You cannot say you are fighting corruption and yet you are sponsoring the very champions of corruption. Sorry Reptyle but we all; yes every last man and woman of us in Nigeria are, hypocrites

Goats!!The people who derive benefits from that clause will not sit down with arms folded and watch that man pour san sand inside their garri.

Canyon I would recognise that furry face anywhere.  Why, that is Sargent Mumuni of the " Wettin you carry" fame, and he looks none too happy in this newly released picture.
Why has been stripped of his uniform, and why is he behind bars ?    It is really a sad day for Nigeria when one of our illustrious sons can be humiliated in this way.
How can Nigerian civilians expect justice and equity when this demeaning treatment is being meted out to members of our gallant mobile police force ?

Jakumo I feel you.Tell it as it is.

The bible says as a man thinketh in his heart so is he.
Your outer reality is a reflection of your inner being. Did you see the picture? That is the true state of Nigeria. That is you and me. Lets not run away from it!Nigerians are a dirty, corrupt, ill-mannered and ill-bred group of people.
Who is responsible for making Nigeria a better place?
