toba: im not in ondo state but tinubu's eight years in office was almost a complete failure. fashola started rebuilding from Zero. 3 deputy governors in 8years. he sacked bucknor, sacked femi pedro. ensured that sarah sosan never got a second term ticket with fashola and almost sacked fashola with his controlled state house of assembly. sold nuhu ribadu and many other atrocities

I dont think Mimiko can stand Tinubu at all, for the second term Tinubun faced Obasanjo for his state allocation witheld because of more local govt. creation, Mimiko is enjoying d govt.byreceiving all allocation including 13% oil state, but I think he (Mimiko) is an ingrate if not Tinubu he would never be a gov in his life, d u think PDP would hv lost that case, if there is no support. Anyway time will tell.

This does not make any sense at all, that is infringing on human right because every body is entitle to their freedom. How about before I assume the office I have my money to send my kids abroad for education, does that limit my right to do what I like for my beloved children. The best to do is any corrupt public offer must be sent to maximum prison life impresionment if there you r caught & found guilty and let see if people would not change their attitude.

How slow is your brain to understand simple explanation? Look nobody has time to know who pay tithe and who did not pay. Tithe is a secret covenant one has with God and it's a spiritual excises so stop twisting it to make it look like the church or Rev whom the man paid the tithes in the church they manage are criminals, because i know too well that is where you are driving to. Mind you catholic church is not like other Pentecostal churches where one man can own and control all the donor and monetary affairs.

I think you should shut up, why are you covering this, just accept it. Are u telling us those Rev. &Pastors are not aware of big donor, people like you might not be noticed ,cos highest u can pay is N100k, but for million, ask yurself do they pay by cheque or cash, then if cheque would d name not appear on booklet, and if cash then u plenty of"Ganah must Go".

Elueme: Talk is cheap, keep talking till, your saliva runs dry. First, this topic is mischievous, it is a very big lie the way it is presented sensationally and very misleading. Secondly, the presidency never said that Nigeria is 2nd to America in the ratings of countries with improved corruption indices however, what the president said and which was based on a pure fact was that Nigeria is ranked second to the US amonged countries who have reinvigorated efforts at reducing the corruption menace( it's left for TI to tell if that effort is improving in the fight or not). He ( GEJ) went further to state ( during the interdenominational thanksgiving service) that the country awaits a new rating from transparency international to see if this will reflect on the country's position. These words are sharp contrast to what political jobbers in the opposition are preaching.. These jobbers thinking that most Nigerians won't think had twisted the president's statement to mean that GEJ said that Nigeria is 2nd to the U S in the fight against corruption .. These are different statement aparts and it will take good understanding of English language to decipher.

I don't think its matter of English language, i think next time we should get fact & figure right, most importantly if masses cannot noticed the improvement people would raise eyebrow and question it, these mistakes are getting rampant within the presidency and its reducing the integrity of GEJ administration.

Yes greed!!!!, just to start regarding benefit scam no country in england is exonorated, there is a loophole in the benefit claim, but Nigerian are greedy in their ways and never smart with the moves and most agravatedly brag arround with the so call benefit claim. The Asians are very much smarter than Nigerian and never brag but claim all benefit I can think off. How did I know this, I hv worked in the area where you can know people on benefit and you will be suprised Asian hving two or three properties claiming benefit but tgey are very smart. They get what they deserved, quite unfortunate they still spoiling naija abroad. I remember when I was a sales rep a customer asked where r u from, said Nigeria, he said are u the one sending me mail that I need to claim $1000000, look suprised, he just he was not comfortable enough to give out his details to complete my transaction with him lost that deal.

Lego brain talking.

Why not tell your own organization to buy one for you? Nigerians are always jealous of success, and rather than study the model that produced the success and replicate it, they prefer to pull the successful person down to their level. By the time Winners Chapel buys 6 more aircraft, lego brains like you will keep quiet for good.

You should be happy that a church can own private jets without accessing the aviation fund that people like Jimoh Ibrahim took N35billion from, yet cannot maintain a national carrier. Of course, have you every heard that Winner's aircraft were grounded, or seized because they could not pay, or missed C checks because of lack of money?

Lego brain, you think they buy aircraft with lego bricks such as the one your brain is made of?

Why 3 jet? Is it to visit Jesus in heaven, I mean let face reality here where does he get the money, is he running a biz or just that tithe from church member. Are u happy to hear that some1 used yur tithe to buy jet, does that means all church members are comfrtable. I mean there are things they can use the money for if its surplus, they can acquire hectares of land build house and church member can hv a mortgage, tht would solve few problem of members than to buy jet you will need to spend million to maintain. I beg say the truth and let the truth set you free.

even if she said exactly what you said here, people will still have issues with it and make noise. would you now say the govt is doing nothing about it? soon the lokoja-abuja road will be open. people just want to make noise over every thing and blame the govt. its normal with nigerians. my street here in lagos was recently constructed. but just 3 months; the drainage is filled with waste and water can't even flow. when it rains and the whole area is flooded, people will accuse the govt.

Nobody is ready to make noise about nature, at present in UK most norther part are flooded because of this rain, schools were shot, offices closed even motor ways are close, but you will never see MP, or PM making that statement. If you are a public figure you dont just say whatever that comes to your mind because people read meaning to every statement, and I think its common in this cabinet they want to be people to praise them on what they get paid for.

As for the universities is now a competition, among the churches and I do not see them last long or the congregation will continue to suffer, but if they wise up it might b their end.

A similar case of that happened to me, they sent an email that I qualify for this job & honestly I did applied for that position thru guardian, they said I will do test online dat I should add them on my msger, wch I did. They sent 20 questions about account, current affairs and was timed,i did the test. Few days later they sent an email that I passed, then I need to come for training but I need a blazer on the floor to start ,since its a stock broking firm so I must pay 4k to get venue of d training & blazer, and I cant use my blazer, they sent d bank details it was First bank, I knew it was a scam staight away & I went to first bank to inform them, BM check the account he saw a picture then I told him I will report to EFCC but I need his details, but frm body language he was not interestd. I thank my God and pity thousand of graduate that would fall for that, cos d package was good from scammer, they even got a landline & sometimes answer a call.

Politics / Farouk Stopped At Airport To Perform Lesser Hajj by amobii: 9:08am On Aug 08, 2012
Hon. Farouk Lawan was stopped yesterday night at airport yesterday to perform lesser hajj in the holy month of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia. I think they should fast track this case because i almost forgot there is a pending case of subsidy scandal.

Hon. Farouk Lawan

By Ike Abonyi and Ejiofor Alike

The suspended Chairman of the House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee on the Monitoring of the Fuel Subsidy regime, Hon. Farouk Lawan, was Tuesday night barred from travelling out of the country at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

Lawan, who is currently under investigation for collecting $500,000 from the Chairman, Zenon Petroleum & Gas Ltd, Mr. Femi Otedola, to doctor the report of the House ad hoc committee, was scheduled to board an Emirates Airline flight en route to Saudi Arabia to perform the lesser Hajj when he was stopped by operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) at the airport and prevented from leaving the country.

Lawan, THISDAY gathered, was very embarrassed when he was informed by the SSS that he would not be allowed to travel and was seen frantically making phone calls to what was believed to be “highly placed people in government” to help him out of his predicament.

Reliable sources in the SSS confirmed that the decision to bar Lawan from travelling stemmed from the fact that he is considered a flight risk and might seize the opportunity to flee the country in order to avoid arrest and arraignment.

As at press time, it wasn't certain if Lawan eventually got his way and was allowed to travel or not.

THISDAY had exclusively reported that the police had concluded their investigation into the cash-for-clearance scandal involving Lawan and the clerk to the ad hoc committee, Mr. Boniface Emanalo, and had forwarded their report to the Legal Department for advice.

It was learnt that the police investigative team, headed by Ali Amodu, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Special Task Force, was able to gather incriminating evidence which would be used to prosecute Lawan and Emenalo in court.

A source told THISDAY that in its response, the Police Legal Department recommended the trial of the duo.
Having finished their investigation, the police have sent the case file to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Adoke for his consideration, preparatory to Lawan’s arraignment.

Adoke, it was gathered, is studying the case file and would take a decision this week on whether the police, which investigated the allegation, have enough evidence to sustain a trial in court.

Waooooo, i am so disappointed in some of the comment here, we know u guys no good idea, no business concept and nothing to improve your society, yet if some is trying you guys comes with critics, all these cannot help our dear country. Many said the 'Inye Tablet' is made in china, most of your laptop, ipad and phone phones you use are made from China, because of labour cost, infrastructure. He invented a tablet with his right design and software, which other manufacturer does and every tablet have same function, may be little different from manufacturer. Blackberry, sony, samsung, ipad, google nexus, kindle, prestigio multipad, acer, Inye and many more perform the same function but performance are different based on the component, and unique difference from manufacturer.
I believe the guy can do better, if he work more on Marketing which will include all the 4ps, mostly the pricing is wrong if you are competing with big brands and not having a market share before.
Please stop your offensive comment and let encourage the guy.

The Ogun State governor, Gbenga Daniel, finally bowed to former president, Olusegun Obasanjo’s political supremacy, as he passionately begged for forgiveness and also admitted that Tunji Olurin is the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state for the forthcoming elections.

The meeting which took place at the Hilltop Private Residence of Mr Obasanjo in Abeokuta on Friday was facilitated by prominent lawyer, Afe Babalola, and lasted for over three hours. In attendance were: Adebutu Kensington, Kenny Martins, Olubara of Ibara, and Jacob Omolade (a traditional ruler), among others.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Mr Daniel said, “Well in all things we have to give thanks to God. And I think what has happened today is a manifestation of work of God and I want to seize this opportunity to thank the elders and to also thank Baba for the opportunity of the meeting.” When asked if he begged the former president for forgiveness, the governor said “Let me say this, to you, I am a true Yoruba son, and in Yorubaland it doesn’t matter who is right or who is wrong. It is the younger that will beg the older person, so I have begged Baba and I will continue to beg him.” Mr Daniel, who also admitted that Mr Olurin is the authentic governorship candidate of the ruling PDP in the state added, “Of course, Olurin is the governorship candidate of PDP. I don’t have any doubt in my mind that we can work things out.
