Health / EMR In Nigeria : Doctor - Patient Health Encounter by apmis: 12:05pm On Nov 19, 2015 |
Electronic medical records in Nigeria face a big challenge in adoption among the medical professionals due to the fact that the solution developers are not medical professionals or in particular doctors. It is difficult to conceptualize some nuances that a doctor wants in his notes and documentation. With the All Purpose Medical Information System, the story is different. Doctors actually want to use our system!! Afterall, it was built by doctors for doctors who have experience within the same health system. What do doctors want? Clean interface + flexible customized notes + clinical documentation that supports research analysis + handwriting recognition == APMIS v1.5 Let's experience APMIS v1.5 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDVDo0fq72U Thanks for watching! Health / Electronic Hospital Management System Software In Nigeria by apmis: 7:30am On Sep 07, 2015 |
Electronic Hospital Management System Software in Nigeria Hospital Management Software in Nigeria is still in its infancy across the country. While many hospitals desire to implement such, the reality is that many do not have the budget for it. When thinking of implementing a hospital management system in Nigeria, there are about seven cost centers to consider. while many vendors may play around open disclosure about these cost centers, no mater what you do, you ill be confronted with them on the long run. To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed or so the saying goes... Cost Centers for Implementing Hospital information systems Power: Yep! you need to a lage extent 24/7 power solution. interesting most private hospitals more or less have solved this problem. Generators, inverters, UPS, solar installations come to the rescue here. Users: The need to assess, train, support and evaluate users before, during and after implementation must be considered. Hardware: Client devices as well as back-end servers make up this component. In most instance this is the 20% that is responsible for 80% of the cost. For a very basic implementation, you would need at least 8-10 client devices. This client devices would be in the form of laptops, tablets, All in One etc. Please exclude desktop as they are power hungry. there is the argument that desktops are more secure and not easily stolen, but I would make a case that the cost of insurance is less than the cost of power and interruption that desktops portends. Network: You need at least a wired or wireless LAN network within the hospital that connects the client devices to the back end. Application: the software itself and its associated dependencies required for your hospital business processes Case Note Archival: I would be necessary to budget for the need to convert old paper case notes to digital format or at least have the biodata of patents entered into the system Project management and Implementation: Whoever is implementing should be paid something for the headache of transforming your hospital. Whatever you pay for you will get. Support: This is the Achilles heel of electronic hospital management system implementation. If your support team is in India and you are in Nigeria, you would soon abandon that implementation!I regularly say that a bad software that is well supported will do better than a fantastic whistle and bell software that is poorly supported. Try ask you vendor for three months in-premise support at least. I would be glad to hear what your experience has been in implementing hospital management software in Nigeria. Hopefully we can help overcome your issues and point to more successful implementation across the country. If you are considering implementing a solution, feel free to contact me(shameless plug!!). To a better healthcare system in the country driven by technology..... 1 Like |

is this really a game! no it is about two hundred thousand dollars. Biz is Biz. Blessing felt Deox lied about her and did not deserve his making fences afterwards. She was just upset at him, so she walks off. Was the CEO confused about who to fire? Clearly. he id not have clear reasons to fire either but someone had to go. Not blessing anyway. Deox and Blessing just did not work together and so they looked sloppy! Face it Deox has been a slow calculative guy. He is a laywer. he has been a background person until he is made the PM. Really nothing spectacular. Blessing has been a fighter and crier ?! too. How many buckets has she shed in this show. |
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by apmis: 12:25pm On May 26, 2008 |
@mustay: welcome back!! the decider really would be the next episode: matrix loses and it is Isaac vs Eunice. Eunice would be PM. but it would be based on who contributes most to their measure of success. Everyone trying to outdo the other, which come to think about it may make them win! naaah, matrix loses. Eunice has made her mark on the CEo no doubt compared to the clam Isaac. But interestingly only the CEo know what kind of apprentice he is looking for. Eunice has her weakness, which is glaring to everyone, Isaac has a vedenta on her (a la Nnamdi). He just might take her out. More interesting for me is the kind of task the CEo would originate. It would be nice to have something that does not paly on the strenght of numbers. remember the csr task. what an episode it would be tomorrow! |

I think Blessing should have fired Deox. Hope she would not regret it along the way. just biz instinct. I wonder whether kathleen would take on eunice? Art of War they say! |

Epidoe 12 update: Regina fired! Killed by Blessing. Deox narrowly escapes Update by The Apprentice Africa Blog |
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by apmis: 4:00pm On May 09, 2008 |
clasic boardroom game: deox vs eunice but eunice would win any way somehow hey rest of the team would realise that eunice has to be booted out. in the next episode matrix would lose again and it would be kathleen + eunice vs isaac, of course issac get sent out. the whole thing is resuffled again then the battle would toughen. then would be the time to see eunice go. that is if the rest of the team realises how to play the game. eunice is a fighter she knows what she is after. save for deox who has been playing mr cool and blessing who is another fighter. the rest of the pack are just coasting along. it is BS fault, the girl knows how to influence people, see how she drew her folder out when Nnamdi mistakenly said she did not have a budget, see how she suggested that Nnamdi be fired. She has been reading Art of war not for nothing sake. You may not like her but she does understand what the show is about and she is playing it. she has a great weakness but can the rest of the team capitalise on it. No any which way she would go on to the last four. Blessing is not going out soon. there is reginna, then issac, then tunde. ah I am ranting too much update from the apprentice africa blog |
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by apmis: 4:15pm On May 08, 2008 |
Episode 11: Nnamdi fired eunice cant be fired for now no matter what wrong she does. I think that the boss has an emotional attchment for her, in the sense that she is really one of the contestant that has real book qualification and is trying to do things by the book. She does have her weakness which was glaring, under any circumstance she could have been fired for not putting her feet down and telling the team to sell for a higher price! Why blame it on Nnamdi? Also she is a fighter, she is a boardroom fighter. she knows what she wants and pursues it. Nnamdi was just a scape goat. She set him up and got him out of the way. He was the strongest contender in that team. Eunice knows she can deal with the rest easily. Kathleen or isaac is no match for her. Poor Nnamdi, all he needed to do was blame it on poor leadership without trying to defend himself, of course he was new to the boardroom game. Attack is the best form of defence. Eunice again shoed how to play the boardroom game she was fighting and she made that clear. Kathleen was in to support her and Nnamdi to be fired Update by Apprentice Africa |

Agreed! |
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by apmis: 2:47pm On Apr 09, 2008 |
Agreed that the trend is PMs are getting fired but the truth is the PMs are not playing the game. It was off tactics for bekeme to bring in nancy and Oscar! you bring in a weakling and a strong man. how about blessing and nancy or eddie and nancy. The Apprentice has to be a fighter, everyone of them just get cowed ( if there is a word like that) by the CEO. bekeme cup was full. She had been touted as being a pain in the group and the ceo just wanted her to go. I think to a large extent the duo of bekeme and nancy has been the undoing of matrix, just so happens that the tag team led to the downfall of one of them. hear my full rant here |

@emekauzor : you miss the point, it is not just about the nigerian thing of accusing someone else for one failure, she said she was the weakest link and they fired her , now everyone is complaining! was she fired fairly or unfairly? see Apprentice africa |
TV/Movies / Re: Mr Shobanjo-apprentice Africa Is A Poor Decision Maker by apmis: 9:50am On Apr 07, 2008 |
I think you guys miss the whole idea about who gets fired. It is not just about who did right or wrong! it is about removing weaklings! If a strong apprentice does wrong and can fights his way he stays The real guilty person was reginna, but joyce was being too nice to say so. business is first and foremost fighting to stay alive for yourself Ah! |

TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by apmis: 10:50am On Apr 02, 2008 |
@Chukky, I undertsand your anger at his firing Joyce but the issue is that in the business world you fight for yourself first! You are in business for yourself. She gave her self up too easily. His repeating the question was to see if she got the point he was trying to pass across. She did not. So he fired her!. The apprentice must be someone that can walk away from a tight spot, turn a weakness into an advantage. She was not a fighter simple and shot. Meanwhile I have hot news : here it goes Apprentice Africa Omar on the Hot Seat Yes! Apprentice Africa Omar has agreed to do an EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW on this blog: Apprentice Africa!
