Whatever worth doing, worth doing right.......

The structure looks like the way they build county prisons in the U.S.

Kudos to them for giving the traders a structure but nothing "ultra modern" about this structure.

I agree with you, It's not ultra modern. but it's good enough for the people it was built for.

You would be shocked to know what they can afford..

Plus:: Nobody ever buys these shops outright, its always on a mortgage argeement entered into between the Government, the Mortgage/financing institution and the Market Women Association.

Shall we continue to be mediocre in everything we do because people are poor?! The money budgetted for this structure is definitely not poor so ..

Well if you think poor market peeps can afford nicely built shopping malls, then the private sector should come onboard and invest in this area. And no, I don't think we should continue to be mediocre in everything, we just have to make provision for all our citizens.

FastShipping: This is a poor looking architecture. Good intention but bad end product.

Our architects have a long way to go. I was expecting to see state of the art market. There is nothing ultra modern about this structure.

Can our local market peeps afford to lease or rent this your proposed "state of the art market"?

on a serious note I think it looks good enough. nice one from fashola.

Maybe this is what our senior commander was asking about: 'Infrared technology'. undecided

Thermal-infrared imaging is used extensively for military and civilian purposes. Military applications include target acquisition, surveillance, night vision, homing and tracking. Humans at normal body temperature radiate chiefly at wavelengths around 10 μm (micrometers).

Target Acquisition is the detection, identification, and location of a target in sufficient detail to permit the effective employment of lethal and non-lethal means. The term is used for a broad area of applications.
A "target" here is an entity or object considered for possible engagement or other action. Targets include a wide array of resources that an enemy commander can use to conduct operations including mobile and stationary units, forces, equipment, capabilities, facilities, persons and functions. It may comprise target acquisition,[1] Joint Targeting[2] or Information Operations.[3]
Technically target acquisition may just denote the process of a weapon system to decide which object to lock on to, as opposed to surveillance on one and target tracking on the other side; for example in an anti-aircraft system.

LOl, Nice reply. But on a serious note I do not think the US is interested in sending their drones to Nigeria. Unless there is another mutallab (successful) incident. And when that happens they don't need an invite to bring an end to Bokoharam. undecided

I think it's time to invite the US to bring in the drones, just like in pakistan.

I don't think that will be possible. If you were a business man for example, can you stop one of your major customers from buying your goods? The west are making huge money from this health tourism. Statistics have shown that Nigeria loses over a billion dollars to health tourism and you want the west to stop a source of income? My brother, Nigerians are the only ones that can stop it not those that enjoy from it.

you are right it's a long shot.
