TV/Movies / Re: Rita Dominic Slams A Critic Of Her ‘Lekki Wives' Appearance by Artorius(m): 2:13am On Jul 02
JoeEeL:
All na hustle sha.

By the way, when Nigeria movie industry go do film like prison break or 24? This is what I keep saying. Both in songs, movies, books etc., we only get mediocre stuff. In songs, you'll be hearing lyrics like "Come wetin dey worry you, I get money pass your papa o hmmn".

In the movie industry, you'll be hearing titles like "Heart of Fire", "Lagos husbands"... now see this one: "Lekki housewives". Is everything always all about love, family, relationship, cheating etc? I just don tire. Please engage your brains please. There is a site in Idanre where they tend to hear sounds from a caved rock. You can form a movie around that idea. There is abundance of fulani terrorists and bandits all the way from sahel down to lagos. Think of a movie that sheds light on how ammo runs illegally, espionage, hideouts, upper echelon conspiracy, crime fighting, crisis management, world politics, neo-colonialism, terrorism, unjust detentions, illegal mining / bunkery, even secession. Disguise it in such a way that it would pass the screening test but your viewers that have sense would know where you're going.

There is a current GMO agenda in Nigeria already in the works. Nollywood producers cannot think of a movie that would encapsulate the danger, knock-on effects and predictability of this agenda and how far-reaching its effects could be. No o. Instead at the dead of the night, they will be sending email to oldies like Rita Dominic or mercy Johnson that "Hey, we are about to shoot one movie in Lekki. Please can you play the role of a housewife or sugar-mummy? We estimate between 2 - 4 million for a cameo role if the numbers hit so-so- and so figure"
Your comment make plenty sense, but abeg, wetin be GMO?

ayolinger:
Hi Guys. So my US Student Visa expired and I’m trying to do a drop shipping, but I want to do it without coming back to Nigeria. I want to ask if this is possible. Am I required to comeback to submit it myself and exit the US and re-enter with my renewed Visa? Or I can send my passport down to Nigeria and have it dropped on my behalf without any consequences?

I mean won’t my I-94 give me away that I didn’t leave the US?

Please I need genuine advice as I’m trying to avoid the cost and logistics of coming down to Nigeria, and also the wait till the visa is issued.

Thank you.
My brother, did you find a solution? I'm in the same situation. I want to be able to travel whenever I want.
Business / Re: I Feel Embarrassed When Guys Bargain For Foodstuff In The Market by Artorius(m): 5:32pm On Jun 15
Hohaiiiode:
a typical Nigerian? There are others that say man shouldn’t go to the market to get food stuffs ,

even as a bachelor I see a lot of one sided thinking people try to talk down on me… but as a typical me. Who cares?
In business or in life you will definitely need the skill of bargaining, I have met a few business people that in my capacity I can call them great financially … there Bargain.

Please have a change of perception , if not for you for the sake of a possible place in the future … there is a known fact that most Africans don’t properly Bargain interest rate on loans they seek from international organization…. Oh! These are two different things right?
No there are not.
It is your money … it is your resources… when the option is open you can make use of it… there is nothing shameful or inhuman .
Even in places where you think there is no room for bargaining … there is a chance to speak up to get a better deal.

Be smart . Oga!!! Real life is no zadaka as we are been programmed to be. Keep the change . Fling money up and down. It shows how much we lack wisdom
And common sense. It has nothing to do with generosity or what ever excuse … we are the poorest people … but we are the once’s with the biggest ego, pride and nonsense thinking .

Preach it brother! Even rich people dey bargain.

These are western constructs - they apply mostly to the west, especially the USA.

Only Gen Z and Alpha apply to Nigeria (and Africa) because technology makes the world smaller.

All other prior generations in Nigeria na generations of suffering and corruption and unintelligent religion...

If you have ever been close to Pastor Chris , you will know that he is not human ..

Before you get close to him, that radius alone, there is a lot of power generated, you must feel it, e no get how.. how much more you get to touch him.

I remember a teacher of mine who always criticized the man of God.. he said when Pastor Chris came to Benin for Higher life conference, he was waiting for Bus when the man of God passed ..

Pastor Chris was in the Vehicle and as the car passed , he fell under power right on the road.. cheesy

He said God told him, that is my son .. since that day. He never said crap against the man of God..

Am currently in the U.S, 7 years now. Calm down. A lot of Americans frown upon indecent dressing, even in South Africa where ladies go out almost nude, a lot of people look at them with disgust.

Ok brother, but still, there are respectful ways to express disapproval, that is one thing, public harassment and shaming is another thing. Our people tend to behave like wild animals...

I do not support embarrassing her in such manner.

Having said that, I think condemning her outfit would have been appropriate.

Some of you keep saying people should nind their business, mind your business, mind your business, and we will have our ladies walking around nude. We will have our young men sagging their trousers like idiots.

This whole mind your business is making people do stupid stuff. Even in the U.S and U.K, such dressing is frowned upon. But a lot of people who have never left their street thinks this is normal in the U.S, no its not.

It's clear that you've never been to the US or to the West for that matter.

Mind your business!

U wanna sell your family house shey? Better raise money elsewhere cheesy

@ Nazgul: Eg. If a useless first son is selling his late parents home in VI or Ikoyi which host their graves as well for a ridiculous amount, I won't think twice before jumping on the offer.

Coincidentally, I happen to be a first son and my inherited property hosts my parents grave grin

I was not bouyant to develop it because of Projects including my personal property. All I did was let a family member live in the building free of charge. Then gave out the front yard (80 by 60) to a credible developer who built a mini-shopping Plaza (26 shops)

Few more years to go, full ownership of the shops will be back to me with steady rents flowing in.

Never insult the memories of your parents by selling their resting place.

Did your family member later give you any trouble? How do you prevent such from happening?
Romance / Re: *Types Of Spirits That Delay Your Marriages* by Artorius(m): 9:53pm On Jun 25, 2023
Nigerians and over spiritualization grin

Dirtiness is NOT a spirit. Hard to get is NOT a spirit. Tribalism is NOT a spirit. And so on.

These are bad habits and irresponsible patterns of life that can be dealt with through a right understanding of priorities in life as well personal discipline and mature accountability from other people.

Furthermore, don't idolize marriage, singleness is also God's gift.

Modified:

For people quoting me, I understand that the writer is using irony (not sarcasm).

I did not contradict his intention, I only stated it plainly.

Also, as my last sentence suggests, whether married or single, we should all be "delivered" from these spirits.

Please don't quote me again cheesy

Depends on the length of your program.

A visa is just a document that allows you entry into another Country. You can still remain in the US after your visa expires PROVIDED YOU HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT to remain there (e.g your program has not been completed, your on on CPT/OPT)

Thank you. I'm more concerned about if I have to travel abroad after my US visa is expired. Do I need to reapply for a new visa to gain entry though my i-20 is still valid i.e. my study program is not finished?

Hello everyone,
How long is the USA visa valid for? Is it still 2 years?

If your visa expires when you're in the US, do you need to travel back to Nigeria to renew or are there any other options?

Thank you so much brothers and sisters!
