Family / Re: My Marriage Life , (I Feel Cheated) by auntytee: 10:21pm On Sep 25, 2014
Like an earlier poster stated, yo werent ready for the life time committment. Now listen... Its time to grow up. To make it easier for u. I'm thinking you should let an elderly relation know about ur ordeal, not after u must have discussed this with ur wife.(No woman will find it appealing knowing her husband cant stand her presence), preferably Ur Dad, or someone whom you look up to. He needs to let u know the circumstances surrounding marriage in general and how best u can deal with it. Its not going to be an easy ride but i'm sure u'll overcome it. Deliberately, you need to start working on yourself immediately, on how to be a better husband and father for wifey and unbord kids... study on marriage in general, ask questions from trusted relations. Notice I dint say colleagues cos im pretty sure at this stage, the matured minds wont be around u (jst saying o). They may lead and advise u wrongly. If ur committed to a church, talk to ur leader or pastor about the issues. In general sha, you need guidiance and counselling... U'll b fine, Its just gona take time, patience and tolerance..
Emessy: No you don't understand , It is not my fault , I don't want to hate her but i can not control it , Nobody told me marriage was going to be like this

Emessy: Hello Family section , I am posting my story here because I feel this section has the best of matured minds and I hope I will get the best advice here, so first of all I would like to beg all readers to bear with me as my story may be a little bit lengthy and may also contain a few high content languages, Thank you
I am 24 year old Graduate working for my fathers company as an IT manager , I graduated from school in 2012 and started work immediately ,than around July last year I met this beautiful, flawless woman,(at least i thought because I was still a virgin and all i dream t of then was having s*x,) we courted for seven months with no s*x(stuck with self service) I was so in love with her, I hardly spend six hours without hearing her voice , at work and home all i thought of was her , February this year I decided to make it official, I broke into my personal savings , went to a jewelry shop and bought an engagement ring of N80,000 , I threw a very big birthday party for her with friends and family of over N165,000 and I asked her to marry me,(Though i was in love but the thing pained me very well) But i thought to myself "SHE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE" so she is worth it, A few weeks later her father invited me and he asked to me to send my elders ,My elders went and everything was arranged our wedding was set and again I had to pay for everything (the wedding ceremoniessss , the dowry , .....)It was really painful and I had a hard time recovering *financially* , Well on our wedding night It was nothing as I expected , I engaged my wife in fore play(and believe me that is the only sweet part about marriage) the s*x was nothing like the Indecency's i have watched, self service is far more sweeter and to make it worst she just layed down there enjoying it , after about 15 minutes i erupted ,I stared at my wife as she slept , a sudden feeling of hatred ran into my mind , I felt like calling her father the next day and ask for a refund.as time went by the hatred kept on growing ,though i tried hard not to show her and i always tried my best to pleasure her and make her happy , But I was dying in the inside , I just wish I could escape this torture and go back to playing video games and hanging out with my guys 24/7 , Last week I ran into a friend of mine and he advised me to approach my wife with "different styles" we watched some reality clips(was strange though) but it made me feel good ,I was happy , I quickly ran home to try it on wifey , when i got home, everything was different, there were candles ,nice fragrance , slow music, plenty food and so many romantic stuffs everywhere , In my mind I was like "so this woman can read mind ehn" I went into the bedroom , she was wearing a very beautiful dress staring at the window , I was really excited ,I reached out my hand to unbuckle my belt , then she turned to me and smiled "OMG so my wife beautiful like this" she walked towards me ,grabbed my shoulder , her lickicious lips reached to my ear , Hoping for the greatest kiss of my life , I grabbed her behind , THEN SHE WHISPERED TO MY EAR "BABY na AM JUST COMING FROM Dr Lukman's PLACE, HE SAID MY PREGNANCY RESULTS ARE POSITIVE, We are going to have a set of twins.

Prayer and effective communication from both parties (with positive minds ) helps. Rather than hoarding issues that will further complicate matters. Why not talk it out, Let it go and live happily

Do you think shouting matches and open confrontations help marriages either

Why don't you tell him you will like to meet this his cousin. Make out plans with him to meet with her over a date or some fun stuff...
Or rather insist on speaking with her when she calls. I presume cousins who are best of friends should have some kind of "rapour" which each others boyfriend or girlfriend. My 2cent!
