Islam for Muslims / Some Virtues Of Performing Voluntary Prayers In The House by ayenny02(m): 7:51am On Sep 13, 2013 |
All praise is due to Allah, and may exaltation and safety be granted to Muhammad, his family, his companions, and those who aid them. To proceed: Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan, may Allah protect him, mentioned: …Voluntary prayers in the house are more virtuous than in the Masjid because of the following positive outcomes that arise: 1. Praying voluntary prayers in the house is staying away from showing-off and causing people to be impressed. It is also a way to conceal actions from the people; 2. Praying voluntary prayers in the house is a cause for complete serenity and sincerity; 3. Praying voluntary prayers in the house establishes the remembrance of Allah and prayer therein; this causes the descent of mercy upon the residents of the house, and this causes Shaytaan to distance himself; The Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention and grant him safety, said: “Perform some of your prayers in your homes, and do not turn them into graveyards (i.e. a place where prayer is not performed).” [Collected by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim] Additional Benefit: The Messenegr of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention and grant him safety, said: The voluntary prayer of a man where people do not see him is worth twenty-five times more than in a place where people would see him. The Different Types of Voluntary Prayers In addition to the five daily prayers, are nafl (optional/voluntary) prayers which can be recited. Those which are nawafil, or voluntary, include every extra prayer prayed in the times when prayer is allowed. There is no limit to these nawafil, and the more nawafil one offers the greater will be the credit and reward for them. There have been such servants of Allah who used to offer Nafl prayers throughout the night and did not sleep. Nafl prayers were a regular and unchanging practice of the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam). Some of these are: 1. Salat al-Ishraq (Post-Sunrise Prayer) Ishraq Prayer is a nafl prayer which is performed about 45 minutes (three quarters) after sunrise (according to the Hanafi school of thought) or 20 minutess after sunrise (according to the Shafi school). RasulAllah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) is reported to have said, 'He who performs Fajr Salat with Jamaat and remains seated in the same place while engaging in Dhikr until after sunrise and thereafter performs 2 Rakats Nafil Salat, (Ishraq), he will obtain the reward of one Hajj and one Umrah.' [at-Tirmidhi] 2. Salat ad-Duha (Morning Prayer) This prayer is also known as Chaasht salah/namaz. It is performed after the sun has risen high in the morning, after about one-third of the day has passed and it lasts until zawal. One may perform 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 rakat of nafl. The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) was reported as saying, “Whoever prays 12 rakat for the Duha prayer, Allah will built a golden castle for him in Paradise.” [at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah] 3. Salat al-Awwabin (Prayer of the Oft-Repentant) Awwabin are the plural of Awwab and this refers to the one who is obedient, or one who turns to obedience, or 'the one who submits himself to the worship of Allah by asking for forgiveness'. After performing the fard and sunnah of Maghrib, one may perform from 6 to a maximum of 20 rakat nafl, in sets of 2 units. This prayer has been called as Awwabin. (This name is sometimes also applied to the morning prayer.) It is said that the one who recites this prayer is one of the Awwabin. “Whoever prays, after the Maghrib, 6 rakat without talking of anything indecent in between them, it would be equivalent to 12 years of worship for him.” [at-Tirmidhi] 4. Salat at-Tahajjud (Late-night prayer) Of all the nafl prayers, that prayer which is offered in the middle of the night, known as Tahajjud or Salat al-Layl, is the most rewarding and beneficial. Salat at-Tahajjud is offered after Isha prayer but before Fajr prayer (or 12 hours from the time of the Duhr prayer). The number of rakat prayed in tahajjud should be between 4 to 12 rakats, offered in even numbers, in units of two or four rakat each. If one divides the night into six parts, the fourth and fifth part are the best for prayer. If divided in half, the second half is best. If into thirds, the middle part is best. “As for the Righteous, they will be in the Gardens and fountains [of Jannah], with joy the rewards which their Lord gives them, before this [in the world] they were virtuous. They slept but little at night, and they prayed for forgiveness in the hours of early dawn." [51:15:18] The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, “There is a certain period of time in the night during which if a Muslim prays for anything beneficial to his life in this world or the next, it will be granted to him. And this time occurs every night.” [Muslim] 5. Salat at-Tasbih (Prayer of Glorification) It Consisting of 4 units of prayer, the prayer format is slightly different. The following tasbih is recited 75 times in each Rakat, totalling 300 times in all 4 Rakats: SubhanAllahi walHamdulillahi wala ilaha illAllahu waAllahu Akbar (Glory be to Allah, all praise be to Allah, there is no god by Allah, Allah is the Greatest, and there is no might nor power except with Allah The method of this salah is as follows: After beginning the salah by saying Allahu Akbar recite the thana', Surah al-Fatiha and a Surah followed by the above tasbih 15 times. Then go into Ruku and after reciting the usual tasbih for ruku recite the above tasbih 10 times. After standing up from ruku recite the usual 'Rabbana Lakal Hamd' and thereafter recite the tasbih 10 times. Then go into Sajdah and after reciting the usual tasbih for sajda recite the above tasbih 10 times. Then sit up from sajdah and recite the tasbih 10 times between the two sajdas. Thereafter go into sajdah again and after reciting the usual tasbih for sajdah recite the above tasbih 10 times. Then sit after the 2nd sajdah (i.e. before standing up for the second rak'ah) and recite the tasbih 10 times. This adds up to 75 times in one rak'ah. Do the same for the remaining 4 raka'at. It is recorded in Sunan Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhi and other books of hadith that RasulAllah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) once said to his uncle Hadrat Abbas (radiAllahu anhu): O Abbas! O my uncle! Shall I not give you a gift? Shall I not show you something by means of which Allah Ta'ala will forgive your sins, the first and the last of them, the past and recent, the unintentional and the intentional, the small and huge, the secret and open? Rasulullah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) then taught him the Salah al-Tasbih. Then he advised him that it be offered daily, if possible. If not then every Friday or once a month or once a year or at least once in a life time. [abu Dawud 'Salat' 303; at-Tirmidhi 'Salat' 350] 6. Salat as-Safar (Journey Prayer) It is said that one should offer 2 units of prayer before departing on a journey (salat al-khuruj ila’s-safar), and upon return from the journey (salat al-‘awda). On the authority of Maqtam ibn al-Miqdam that he said, "The Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, 'No one has left behind with their family anything better than two rakats offered at home when wanting travel.'" [reported by al-Tabarani] 7. Salat al-Istikhara (Prayer for asking for Guidance/Advice) This prayer requires 2 units with the intention to ask Allah for guidance in a matter. According to a traditional report transmitted on the authority of Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, it was Jabir ibn 'Abdillah (radiAllahu anhum) who said: "Allah's Messenger (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) used to teach us how to seek guidance in choosing the best option available in a practical enterprise [al-istikhara fi'l-amr], just as he would sometimes teach us a Chapter (Surah) from the Qur'an: "'If one of you is concerned about some practical undertaking, or about making plans for a journey, he should perform two cycles of ritual prayer [rak'atain], not as an obligatory observance [farida], but voluntarily. Then he should say: Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi ilmika wa-astaqdiruka biqudratika wa-as'aluka min fadhlika al-adheem. Fa innaka taqdiru wala' aqdiru. Wa ta'lamu wala a'alamu wa anta allaamul ghuyub. Allahumma in kunta ta'lamu anna [hadhal-amr] khayrun li fi deeni wa-ma'ashi wa-aqibat amri, fa'qdruhli wa-yasirh li thumma barik li feehi. Wa in-kunta ta'lamu anna [hadhal amr] sharrun li fi deeniy wa-ma'ashi was-'aqibat amri. Fa asrifh anni wa-srif 'anhu. Wa aqdurh liyal khayr hayth kana thumma a-rdhini bihi. O Allah! I seek Your counsel by Your knowledge and by Your power I seek strength and I ask You from Your immense favour, for verily You are able while I am not and verily You know while I do not and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah! If You know this affair [this matter] to be good for me in relation to my religion, my life, and end, then decree and facilitate it for me, and bless me with it. But if in Your Knowledge, You know [this matter] to be ill for me towards my religion, my life, and end, then drive it away from me and drive me away from it, and decree for me what is good wherever it be and make me satisfied with such. 8. Salat al-Hajat (Prayer for the fulfilment of a need) Salat al-Hajah is a prayer offered if one wants Allah Almighty to fulfill his particular purpose or need or want. Abu Darda (radiAllahu anha) relates that the Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, "Whoever performs ablutions well and offers two voluntary rakahs and completes them to perfection will be granted by God whatever he prays for, either immediately or in God’s good time." [Ahmad - Sahih] 9. Salat at-Tauba (Prayer for Repentance) Make the appropriate minor or major ablution, offer a prayer of two rak‘ats, and ask for His forgiveness. Abu Bakr (radiAllahu anhu) related from the Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) that he said, “There is no one who commits a sin, goes and performs ritual ablutions, and then prays two rakats after which they seek Allah’s forgiveness except that He forgives them.” After this, he (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) recited Allah Most High’s words, “And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgives sins save Allah only? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did.” [3: 135] 11. Salat at-Tahiyatul Wudu (Prayer of the Oft-Repentant) After performing wudu, one should pray 2 rak’at of nafl, known as Tahiyyat al-Wudu. Several hadith have mentioned the blessings and benefit of doing so. For example: “There is no Muslim who performs wudu and performs it well and then stands and offers 2 units of prayer with devotion of heart and mind in the two of them, except that Paradise becomes guaranteed for him” [Muslim #288] www.oocities.com/mutmainaa 13 Likes |

Religion / The Word Of Paul Is Not The Word Of God (1 by ayenny02(m): 4:14am On Aug 25, 2013 |
The word of Paul is not the Word of God (1) By Femi Aribisala If God were to inspire me to write a book, the words in my book would still be my words. They would not be the word of God. Ask a Christian a question about Jesus, and he might answer with a quotation from Paul. But who tells us Paul speaks for Jesus? Why do we need Paul to speak for Jesus when Jesus speaks for himself? Why do we need Paul to speak for Jesus when Jesus himself warns us: “Be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time?” (Mark 13:23). If Jesus has told us all we need to know, why do we need someone else to add to, or subtract from, what he said? Limitations of scripture The word of God is, and will forever be, with God. (John 1:1). God created all things with his word. He spoke his word to the patriarchs and the prophets of Israel. Then he sent his word to the world in the person of Jesus, his Son. The word of God now sits at the right hand of God from where he speaks into the hearts and minds of sons of God and judges all things. There is no scriptural basis whatsoever for concluding that this word of God is the same as the word of Paul. Daniel says: “I, Daniel, understood from the scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years.” (Daniel 9:2). This shows that the scriptures are separate and distinct from the word of God. The scriptures are given by men. The word of God is given by God. The scriptures are written by men. The word of God is spoken by God. Accordingly, Jesus points out that the word of God gives life: scriptures do not. He says to the Jews: “You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of me. But you are not willing to come to me that you may have life.” (John 5:39-40). Paul says: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16). But this does not make the scriptures the word of God. There is a difference between what God says and what God inspires. If God were to inspire me to write a book, the words in my book would still be my words. They would not be the word of God. All that can be said is that my words were written by the inspiration of God. If God were to inspire me to do a painting, it would not thereby be the painting of God? It would still be my painting. Second Peter Contrary to popular perception, the writer of 2 Peter does Paul no favours. He says: “No prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:20-21). However, Paul is not a prophet. 2 Peter does not classify Paul’s writing as prophecy but as “scripture.” Christians need to understand that the law and the prophets are the highest form of inspired Jewish writings. Other “writings” are considered of lower cadre. 2 Peter does not even acknowledge Paul as an apostle of Christ. Instead, it pointedly refers to him as “Brother Paul.” It does not say Paul writes by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Instead, it says Paul writes: “according to the wisdom that God gave him.” (2 Peter 3:15). That is certainly not a high commendation. It actually means 2 Peter does not accept Paul’s writings as the word of God. At best, they are words of wisdom. I also write according to the wisdom God gave me. But that does not make my writings the word of God. Moreover, the major concern of 2 Peter is that Paul’s letters are inclined to lead unstable believers astray. I share that concern. However, there is no danger in the word of God leading anybody astray. Nowhere in the scriptures are we counseled to be careful that the word of God might lead us astray. 2 Peter says some of Paul’s writings are “hard to understand.” Again, this immediately shows they cannot be the word of God. The word of God is not hard to understand. On the contrary, it “gives understanding to the simple.” (Psalm 119:130). Word of Paul When Paul wrote his letter to Timothy declaring the scriptures to be the inspiration of God, the New Testament bible was non-existent. Therefore, Paul’s epistles can surely not be included in his classification of the scriptures. In any case, Paul’s view of the Old Testament contradicts that of Jeremiah. Jeremiah insists the scribes tampered with the bible. He asks: “How can you say, ‘We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD,’ when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?” (Jeremiah 8:. Paul is the only writer in the bible who says his word is the word of God. He says to the Thessalonians: “When you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God.” (1 Thessalonians 2:13). This is one of the most deceitful things Paul ever said. In the bible, Paul mostly speaks for himself and about himself. Time and again, he presents himself as his own authority, ensuring that his words should not be mistaken for the word of God. The word of God can only come from God. It cannot come from man. Paul is a man; therefore, he cannot speak the word of God. John the Baptist, whose heavenly calling Jesus authenticates, never claims he speaks the word of God. Instead he says: “He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.” (John 3:31). “He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.” (John 3:34). John is talking here about Jesus and no one else. Only Jesus and the Holy Spirit are divinely authorised to speak the word of God on earth. They are the only two people who come from heaven. They also never speak their own words. They only speak God’s words. Jesus says: “I have not spoken on my own authority; but the Father who sent me gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that his command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told me, so I speak.” (John 12:49-50). The same principle applies to the Holy Spirit. Jesus says: “He will guide you into all truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak.” (John 16:13). These principles have no applicability to Paul. Even by his own admission, Paul speaks his own words. He says: “What I speak, I speak not according to the Lord, but as it were, foolishly.” (2 Corinthians 11:17). But God does not speak foolishly. Islam for Muslims / Make Du’aa Right Before Maghrib When Fasting by ayenny02(m): 3:17pm On Jul 15, 2013 |
Implementing the Sunnah of the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhin wa sallam) in your Du’aa to Allaah! Student Salah al-’Iraanee (hafidhahullaah) said: “The Du’aa made before Maghrib on Fridays is answered, and the Du’a when breaking the fast is also answered! Both are just before Maghrib!” Then he brought the hadeeth: “…Supplications will be answered on Friday after ‘Asr prayer until the sun goes down.” (Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb, no. 700) - Hadeeth: “There are two which will not be rejected: du’aa at the time of the adhaan and when it is raining.” (Saheeh al-Jaami' 3078). Hadeeth: “A du’aa made between the adhaan and iqamah is not rejected.” (Saheeh al-Jaami', 2408) Hadeeth: “Oh Messenger of Allaah, which du’aa is heard?” He (salallaahu ‘alayhin wa sallam) said: “In the last third of the night.” (al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi 3499) - The following are Etiquettes, Manners, Guidelines of Making Du’aa from the Sunnah and Min Akhbar as-Salaf (From the Narrations of the Salaf) Fadalah bin ‘Ubayd (radiallaahu ‘anhu) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) heard a man making supplication in his prayer when he had not praised Allaah or said Salah upon the Prophet. The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: This man is rushing. Then he (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) called him over and said to him or to someone else: When any one of you supplicates, let him start by praising and glorifying Allaah, The Exalted, then let him send Salah upon the Prophet, and after that let him make supplication as he wishes. Imam Ahmad, Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi reported the above hadeeth and graded it Sahih; An-Nasa`i, Ibn Khuzaymah and Ibn Hibban recorded in their Sahihs. ‘Abdullaah ibn Masood (radiallaahu ‘anhu) said: When one of you wishes to ask (Allaah), then he should begin with praising and thanking Allaah with that which He deserves. Then he should ask Allaah to send His peace and blessings upon the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) then he should ask (for his need). For verily, that (the above method) is more likely to result in success.(as-Saheehah no. 3204) The following is a summary of guidelines for making Du’aa - a summary (and fiqh) from Min Akhbar as-Salaf (From the Narrations of the Salaf): 1- one should be sincere in Du’aa 2- one’s heart should be present in the Du’aa 3- while fearing Allaah 4- one’s food should be halal 5- one should make Du’aa with truthfulness 6- the Du’aa should be made repeatedly, persistently 7- humble yourself to Allaah 8- be consistent in Du’aa 9- increase in Du’aa during times of fear 10- Don’t leave off making Du’aa (even if you commit sins), for Allaah answered the du’aa of shaytan - worst of all creation - “grant me respite until the Day of Judgment.” Allaah said (what means): You are of those allowed respite. (Al-A’raf, ayah 15) 11- Keep in mind that Du’aa is ‘ibaadah (worship) 12- one should be fearful of being prevented from making Du’aa 13- Do not say “my Du’aa is not answered,” while you yourself close the door by sins 1 Like |

There are many sects in islam now as was predicted by the Prophet (saw) some believed that; * after Prophet (saw) there was still another prophet from their ideology, * some believed that they will stick to only the Quran but Hadith is not their Book, * some believed that their islam is just 6 points and they prefer going to other country than Hajj * some believe that islam was not completed and Prophet (saw) revealed remaining to their sheiks in dream, * some believed that some Sahaba of the Prophet (saw) were Kafir, And many more in the world today and they will use Quran and Hadith to back their claims, that is the reason why the prophet said; ".....for those of you who live after me will see great disagreement. You must then follow my sunnah and that of the rightly-guided caliphs. Hold to it and stick fast to it. Avoid novelties, for every novelty is an innovation, and every innovation is an error. [Abu dawood Book 40, Chapter Model Behavior of the Prophet (Kitab Al-Sunnah)Number 4590] The solution to all those sects that use Quran and hadith to back the claims is WHAT WAS THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE COMPANIONS OF THE PROPHET (RA) on their claims and ideologies and also the statement of Abdullah Ibn Masud who said: "Whoever wants to follow an example, let him follow the example of those who have passed away, the Companions of Muhammad Sallallaho Al'aihe Wasallam. They were the best of this ummah, the purest in heart, the deepest in knowledge, the least in sophistication. They were people whom Allah chose to be the Companions of His Prophet Sallallaho Al'aihe Wasallam and to convey His religion, so imitate their ways and behaviour, for they were following the Straight Path." [Mishqat al Masabih Volume 001, Page No. 68-9, Hadith Number 193] May Allah continue to guide us from falsehood and make us know the truth as truth (ameen) |

Can anyone here prove to me from Quran and Hadith that if you are not shia or sunni you will not enter paradise? Can anyone here prove to me from Quran and hadith that the message of Prophet (SAW)to the Mankind was to called people to the sect? Can anyone here prove to me from Quran where Allah said we shud call people to the sect? If answer to my question above is YES please bring your proof but if it is NO then Allah said in Quran; “Hold fast to the Rope of Allah, all of you 2gether and do not be divided” (3:103)” And also, the Prophet said; ((My ummah will be divided into seventy three sects. All of them will be in the Fire except one?)), [Saheeh Muslim, no.976] Its true that we muslims may be divided into 70 or more “Firqas” (sects) as is referred to in a Hadith, but the Hadith also mentions the guiding principle that “the best sect is the one that is strictly following teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunna. The Question that we muslim should ask ourselves is that ARE WE AMONG THOSE WHO FOLLOW THE QURAN AND SUNNAH OF THE PROPHET (SAW) and hold fast to what His companions (radhi-yallaahu 'anhum) were holding to. If you are among those who follow Quran and Hadith then just say ALHAMDULILAH but if you are not then CORRECT yourself. 2 Likes |

Recent archeological discoveries along with Paul's own words in Galatians 4:25 clearly suggest that Mount Sinai is located in Saudi Arabia. This means that Paran being south of Mount Sinai clearly means that it is the Holy City of Mecca The Bible clearly says that Paran is south of Sinai in Egypt; "He said: 'The LORD came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes.' (From the NIV Bible, Deuteronomy 33:2)" This verse is elaborated on further above. Now, let us first look at Galatians 4:25, then the archeological evidence: "Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. (From the NIV Bible, Galatians 4:25)" Christian Archeologists prove from the Bible that Mount Sinai is in "Saudi Arabia" today: www.baseinstitute.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=102:bible-review-magazine&catid=65:bob-cornuke-biography&Itemid=84 www.baseinstitute.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=52:is-mount-sinai-in-the-sinai&catid=36:mt-sinai&Itemid=66 |

We can't solve the problem of moon sighting without first solve the problem of TIME OF SALLAT in SW, out of 100% mosque in SW I can say only 10% mosque are performing their sollat at the right time according to sunnah of the prophet, and I can say categorically that those who don't perform their sallat at right time at their mosque were among those who starts their fasting today. Emusan:So, jesus now turn to 4 in 1 in your mouth not 3 in 1 again Let me help u for d analysis; You said; God + Son = God Before is; God + Jesus + Holy Spirit = God Altogether now is; God+jesus+Son+Holy spirit=God I will help you add another one making 5 in 1, that's Son of Man Emusan:Don't forget Jesus called himself Son of Man too, The New Testament makes it very clear that Jesus is the son of man: Mat 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air [have] nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay [his] head. The Old Testament tells us not to put our trust in the son of man: Psalms 146: 1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. 2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. 3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. So note, Jesus is the son of man, the OT tells us not to put our trust in the son of man; therefore we cannot place our trust in Jesus so he cannot be God. 1- Jesus is the son of man 2- The OT tells us not to put our trust in the son of man 3- We cannot put our trust in Jesus as we do with God 4- Jesus is not God Emusan:Not two, three any more, it is now four five, in ONE. Infact I dey pity for u na 2 Likes |

Now I want you to take one out of the TWO, Either you take Jesus is God and deny Jesus is Son of God OR Take Jesus is Son of God and deny Jesus is God Pls take ONE and DENY one Emusan:My Question is WHO added mark 9-20 |

Emusan:Yes. You must show where jesus said Polygamy is not allowed by God. If you can't show it definitely Bible and God support it Emusan:Which verses you shown to you, did it relate to Polygamy In the verses you qouted, we see that Jesus was approached with a question about whether or not it is allowed for a man to divorce his wife in Matthew 19:3. Jesus immediately referred to the Old Testament for the answer in Matthew 19:4. He referred to Adam and Eve, one man and one woman. The Old Testament does talk about the story of Adam and Eve as one husband and one wife. However, the Old Testament which Jesus had referred to in Matthew 19:3 does allow polygamy. DID THEY ASK HIM ABOUT POLYGAMY? Emusan:Can you show me in bible where God said to those Prophets that Married more than one wife that God was not allow it and they just done it on their own interest |

[img][/img] Emusan:Yes. I believe that we all came from God. Jesus said "Here, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." The words "our God" indicate that Jesus had a higher God over him, a stronger God than him. Jesus didn't say "Your God". He said "our God" which includes Jesus as the creation of GOD. My Question is Can we call JESUS is God Himself? Emusan:The oldest copies of the Gospel of Mark, the Sinaitic and Vatican, end at Mark 16:8. A note in the New International Version of the Bible states: "The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20." Verses 9 to 20 appear to have been added later by an unknown person WHO ADDED verses 9 to 20? Emusan:So you are telling me that Catholic Bible was not from God, it was forgery |

Mintayo:This man you get problem. I said give me verses where JESUS SAID POLYGAMY IS PROHIBITED in Bible Let me remind you Jesus said: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law (the Old Testament) or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke or a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law (the Old Testament) until everything is accomplished. (Matthew 5:17-18)" Let us look at some of the verses from the Old Testament that allow polygamy: In Exodus 21:10, a man can marry an infinite amount of women without any limits to how many he can marry. In 2 Samuel 5:13; 1 Chronicles 3:1-9, 14:3, King David had six wives and numerous concubines. In 1 Kings 11:3, King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. In 2 Chronicles 11:21, King Solomon's son Rehoboam had 18 wives and 60 concubines. In Deuteronomy 21:15 "If a man has two wives, and he loves one but not the other, and both bear him sons...." There are a lot more verses from the Old Testament that allow polygamy, but I think that the above are sufficient enough to prove my point. |

Juell: No sir the 2 books are saying the same thing in different ways, so I can't select one. I know ur mission to discredit the bible has so blinded u that u won't see the truth in my explanations. The main reason am replying u is for those Christians who dnt study their bibles who might be deceived by ur false claims. U've provided an avenue for deep bible study..........hahahahahahaIf you continue to defend what you can't be able to do, definitely you will HUG THE TRANSFORMER at last. Juell: 1. In 2Samuel 24:1, God incited David to number Israel because God was angry with David. Ultimately, God wanted to teach David not to trust in his number of fighting men, but to trust in Him. So, He moved to let David count the fighting men of Israel. He used Satan to do it which is why in 1 Chronicles 21:1, it says Satan moved David to count the men. Both are true. God most probably either sent Satan or allowed Satan to incite David.2 Samuel 24:1 24. Again the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, “Go and take a census of Israel and Judah.” 1 Chronicles 21:1 21. Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel. N:B. GOD or SATAN just take one Juell:2 Samuel 24:9 9. Joab reported the number of the fighting men to the king: In Israel there were eight hundred thousand able-bodied men who could handle a sword, and in Judah five hundred thousand. 1 Chronicles 21:5 5. Joab reported the number of the fighting men to David: In all Israel there were one million one hundred thousand men who could handle a sword, including four hundred and seventy thousand in Judah. N:B. (800,000 for MEN and 500,000 for judah. OR 1million 200,000 for Men and270,000 for judah) pls take ONE Juell:2 Samuel 24:13 New International version 13. So Gad went to David and said to him, “Shall there come on you three years of famine in your land? Or three months of fleeing from your enemies while they pursue you? Or three days of plague in your land? Now then, think it over and decide how I should answer the one who sent me.” COMPARE TO King James Version (KJV) 13 So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me N:B. (3 NIV) or (7 KJV) 1 Chronicles 21:12 12. three years of famine, three months of being swept away before your enemies, with their swords overtaking you, or three days of the sword of the Lord—days of plague in the land, with the angel of the Lord ravaging every part of Israel.’ Now then, decide how I should answer the one who sent me.” PLEASE CHECK FOR YOURSELF, I don't need much talk just come back and tell me the result SIR 1 Like |
