Good talk but only 7% will be given visas. The visas need not to be exhausted before then. We should all pray for a leap because at this 700 CN increase each bulletin, some people may not be interviewed at all before September 30th,2014.

We all need to take out at least 15 mins each day to ask God Almighty for His help from now on.
I trust God for a leap. I know there shall be a leap soonest. I just have this peace about it. I can't worry now because I have asked God for help. God cannot fail. It is not in His character to. God no fall your hand o!!!

Those with either high CN no sweat just relax all winner are going to have interview.

u.s brought out dv winners together with thier visas so your visas are already prepared with your name on it. it is just for them to print it on your passport now you have to prepare and go for your interview on the scheduled date and defend yourself then collect your visa ASAP. note that once you are a winner and you sunmitted your forms you are definitely going to be called for interview. u.s services are not corrupt like nigeria.

it is only those that fuckup on interview date has problem of not getting the visa. so those with high CN just relax u will be called. in my case my CN was among the highest in nigeria but everybdy was calledfor interview.

baba ajala signing off from texas. hav a gud day everyone.

thank u so much sir i will go to another SSN OFFICE
BUT I PUT THE RECEIPT NUMBER CORRECTLY BUT NOT GET SOME THING RELATE TO MY CASE IT JUST SAYS IT CANNOT BE FOUND
BUT MY FRIEND CAN I GET A SCICS OFFICE HERE IN BAKERSFIELD.

WHERE R U IN THE STATES SIR
am in texas. u can call them with thier number on the reciept or go to immigration office in your state and tell them the issue. immigration office is same as uscis and each state has the office. remember to carry your reciept of payment wen going to thier office. it may be technical issue from them

OR you either try this if you remember your USERNAME and PASSWORD of your uscis acct. no need for your receipt number

just enter the website(www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis)
and login . then click request a code. nd you will be sent a code in your email then type the code into the space provided and click submit then your status will appear. i am sure with that ur status will show since you have paid and if it is not technical issue from uscis.

mohamed shire: hello guys ,

it is me again, i would like first to get all the members of the house, especially for he active ones.

i am now in the US especially Bakersfield,CA. i came here before one month through diversity lottery.
i would like to ask u few questions about GC and SSN, i still have neither of them.
i went to social security office here but they told me that i do not need to apply SSN at this time beacuse they said to me u have already applied when you were filling form 230, and the lady also told me that you will get your SSN with your GC in just 30 days but i still have nothing.

when i try to check the status of my greencard through this site https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do and put my receipt id i always get this your case cannot be found at this time in my case status.some thing like that.
when every i also check my USCIS account i find that it is in stage ACCEPTED.

i also tried to call this numer 8003755283 but it tells me to write my receipt number which have some letters while i am in the call.

so what do i do.

i highly look forward your response

thank you
i will advice you to go to another ssn office to apply. and for the green card call uscis to sort it out or better still you can go to thier office. Also make sure u enter your reciept number correctly

The making of our America Project:
It all started on October 23, 2012 when the four of us in the family as of then, entered for the lottery.
I checked mine on May 1, 2013 and was not selected, and then on May 4th, I checked my lovely First Lady’s status and discovered we have been selected for further processing.
At this point, we had no idea of the processes; hence, I started searching Google for resources and later found NAIRALAND 2013 & 2014 threads, which signified the new era.
Twice in that Month of May, I mailed KCC, requesting for additional information and medium of submission of our documents, they replied that both hard and soft copy are acceptable (detail posted sometime ago in one of my responses)
On July 4, 2013, we finally sent our forms via e-mail to kccdv@state.gov (note that we updated twice after this). We were current in November’s bulletin for interview on December 23, 2013 for 7am.
We received our 2nd NL on October 18, a day after birth of our new baby-Princess. We notified the embassy and invited them for naming, to my greatest surprise, replies received in both my mail and VO’s thread were word for words, then the waiting game continues as I always pray for easiest interview which came to pass on the 23rd.

Documentations:
I practiced what I always advice on the thread, we secured all documents before October, except for the new baby that was done after her birth in that month. Medicals and Police Certificate (#2500) were done on December 12th, this enable us to relax a bit.

The ‘D’ Day.
We lodged in a 20minutes drive location close to the embassy, got to the embassy around 5:40am.
Did all necessary security check as you are all aware of, paid the total sum of #272,500.00 being processing fee.
Window 17 called for documentations, to my surprise, the woman seeing us for the first time just asked a familiar question which Looks like those people are spy on NL (can’t ascertain though,so don’t quote me)
Then around 9am, the white Lady called us at window 14 for the real thing
CO: Good morning ma’am
We: Good morning and how was your night?
Co: very ….., thank you
We: Merry Xmas and she responded as well
Then Finger prints for both of us.
CO: raise your right hand and …………(swearing)
We: we do
After this, I lifted my first son (whose name is of one of America president’s name, to say Good morning to her) she called his name, and the laughing began, then the second son did the same and I was joking with her that, the new baby want to say Hi too, then laugh again.
CO: turned to my wife and asked, what’s your highest qualification?
My first Lady: AAAAAAA
CO: when did u finished
My first Lady: AAAAAAA
CO: She’s typing and was explaining that she think my wifey does not performed to her best in her first result, that’s why she submitted the second one
My first Lady: Yes
Me: I said ‘As if you know’ and she laughs again.
While I was trying to carry my children, who are playing around, she said your VISA is approved smiling and the rest of pick up infos. & we say thank you and God bless America
That’s it oooooooooooooooooooo, it was just like a chat

Till now, we are still thanking GOD
wooooooow obatide a very big CONGRAT am so so happy for you and your family. you are a great man. i always knew you will make it. dat was a very nice interview.

i specially welcome you to the UNITED STATE OF AMERICA

Come and live the American dream bro

Adeboy007: I SAY DIS EARLIER..... mmm... dis is a 1derful thread so far.. Good morning my e-Family...... alot of Testimonies have been going on here.. I key to it... its God's favour upon us all.... a learner today .. might be guru tomorrow..... dats has already happen here on dis thread.... a case of Obatide dat has been 1derful on this thread.. i just decides to read this thread from page 1 upto to date... i discover dat Obatide is a learner, before, he ask people question on dis thread concerning his own case as at earlier, and now he is one of d guru in d house helping people.. dats amazing.. keep it up..... I have achieved so many things here on this thread and even i av printed out so many information ranging from where to get NPC and Affidavit format letter, so many successful interview, advice, and many more info..... I read all everyday...... BUT I AV A QUESTION which i no OBATIDE and other gurus can answer

(I am a SSCE holder)
1. My Waec result is 8 credits without Mathematics... Can I use it alone? OR
2. Can I use 2 sittings (WAEC 8 Credits without Maths + GCE 3 Credits with Maths)?
3. with d rate at which d bulletin is moving... as at feb bulletin is still 8700.. (NA WAOOO but God dey)... now when probably will I be current cos I hav a very High CN.. which is (165** (God is involve) I hope d Visa will not be finish before it get to mine?.... cos i can see d success rate and am happy and also i key to there success... PLS REPLY me and give me lots of hope plssss.

THE FIRST RESPONDS (MADU77) says

My dear since you did not have maths in the ssce, it will be wise you combine the waec. The rule is that you must have secondary education with 5credits english and maths inclusive at maximum of 2 sittings. You are good to go with a combination of two certificates.
On being current, my dear relax, just pray and start preparing for your interview; the visa will not finish. For you to be selected they have a visa for you.
Bravo! I have I have spoken well on your questions.... (Me.. I reallly appreciate wat u said u gave me lot of hopee.. thanks so much..

NOW ANOTHER RESPONDS FROM (ODEWENWA)

I doubt it if maths and English esp maths is compulsory o the rule says minimum of five credits it dint mention maths and English.... (Me.. thanks tooo... but am a bit confuse now cos d 2 responds conflict each other.. Pls more comment plssss

(My major concern is because I have B3 in my second exam (GCE) in Maths... and it is a runs, cos i don't no maths at all.. so in case if d CO should see dat i av B3 in it, and now ask me question on it or even use it against me.. Please responds pls
carry both your waec and gce result to the interview. since u have 5 credit you dont have problem. it is only wen u have less than 5 credit that u can panick.

Pipsland78: I'm new on this thread and glad to here. I won the visa lottery and have been given my visa. I intend travelling to US on May 1 but I have 4 questions:

1) I've paid for my green card online, when, where and how do I pick up the greencard?

2) How do I process and pick up the SSN?

3) How do I get the driving license?

4) I did my medicals in Oct but got my visa on Nov 7, hope travelling to the US on May 1 is not too late.

I intend settling in Houston Texas, I would be glad to hook up with any NL member who resides in Houston.

Below is my thread on winning the visa lottery and getting my visa.

www.nairaland.com/1518684/relocate-america-keep-lecturing-job
yea bro its good u ar coming to houston cos am in houston too. u can add me up on facebook on edojaandrew@gmail.com. now as per your questions listen up.

1. your green card will be mailed to your address here in u.s 45days after entry. but before then immigration will stamp your passport at the airport here in houston wen u land this serves as your temporary green card.

2. you process your ssn here in houston at thier office. by going to thier office with your passport and filling the application form.

3.you process your state ID first at the driving license office. then after 30 days you can go and apply for driving licence

4. now calculate six months from the day you did both the medical and got your visa. both has validity of six months and then they expire. so you have to travel before they expire. travel 1 month before they expire.

i hope this is helpful.

this is baba ajala making a shout out from houston. wishng all in the house sucessful interview

Plz am a bachellor of Engineering Degree holder in Electrical Engineering and Electronic from one of Nigerian universities, i plan sendin my transcript to WES for evaluation so that i can continue wit my masters dia but i heard engineering is not selling in US, i plan to start from d beginnin wit any medical course like nursing, plz do i stil need to send my transcript to WES for evaluation since i am changin from engineerin to medical line.
Again am i to send both O level (waec) result together wit my university degree plz hw can i do dis
ma guy we are almost in same shoes o. i did elect elect nd computer engr but am in my finals. but cos of the f**king ASUU strike i couldnt graduate nd am leaving soon. so am leaving my engineering after defering my admission cos i learnt that engineering doesnt sell much in u.s cos of too many professionals around from other countries so i hope to go into nursing cos am interested in medical line and it has good prospect. but for evaluation of transcript am not sure you will need it since u ar starting afresh. note that you can send it if you still want to continue engineering. but for starting afresh in medical line nah u dont av to send it to wes.. also note that having a u.s degree is better than our 9ja degree. you only send your university transcript just leave ur waec behind they dnt need it

Yvete:

You know you're not going back to complete your engineering degree in Nigeria anytime soon. cheesy My conscience won't let me ignore you so lemme break down viable options.

First off, you're coming with a green card unlike those of us that went through F-1, H1B and AOS. You are not required to maintain 12 semester credit hours. I advise that you enroll in school at least part-time. You spent 4 years at a university, should it go to waste?

1. If you would like a career change to Nursing, you're better off transferring credits for RN or BSN. CNA is a good stepping stone to garner healthcare experience, pay tuition, bills, etc. Basically, work as a CNA while at school for RN/BSN. Forget LVN/LPN ... waste of time plus credits don't count for RN, I think!

2. If Engineering makes sense to you, transfer credits from any university in Nigeria to universities in TX. This option is wiser IMO unless Engineering is no longer your thing. Should take at least 24 months to round up an engineering degree over here. Try the link below, workforce, Walmart, etc.... Whatever you choose, come with no less than 6 official transcripts from your school. Hope you make the best decision.
https://www.nairaland.com/1142933/state-texas-employment-opportunities-all
tanx @yvete i rily appreciate your advise. am going to take the second option since i cant waste 4yrs i schooled in nigeria, i am going to transfer my transcript. and since i read elect elect nd comp engr in nigeria i am going to take up computer engineering in u.s as a transfer student. tanx alot
