Business / Re: Can A Customer Sue Bank For Undeposited Money Lost During Bank Robbery? by BabaOyee: 9:04pm On Jan 01, 2014
Banks are not answerable to money not yet collected and verified by their representative, the cashier and duly stamped teller and signed by him acting on behalf of the bank. Until this is done, customer hold the responsibility of keeping his money safe. This is in the case of cash deposit. In case of withdrawal, when the amount is debited from the account,d withdrawal form stamped 'paid' and the amount place on the counter for customer to verify, the bank is no more responsible. Think of it,if the bank is responsible for stolen money in the premises, who is responsible for inside the house and on the streets? The bank premises is vulnerable to robbery attack just like any other place in the society.
Education / Re: FUTO Sacks All Academic Staff by BabaOyee: 7:09pm On Dec 03, 2013
This drama wont be in the best interest of the nation's educational sector and the nation in general. Aside that Jonathan should tread softly. He hasnt gotten anything right since assumption of office. He has recorded failure in economy, power, politics, security and now education. He may as well go down as the worst regime in the history of Nigeria.

Two-party system would have been ideal for this country as was in time of SDP and NRC during Gen Babangida era. However since Multi-party system is adopted,no party should be de-registered. A non viable party today may be a winning party tomorrow. No hopeless situation in life except you agree it is hopeless.

The man is too old for this kind of job and he is obvious to tired to go to the right place to ease himself. He should just be retired to go and spend the rest of his life with his family.
Religion / Re: Pope Francis Bows For Queen Rania Of Jordan by BabaOyee: 7:10pm On Sep 01, 2013
taiocol: but why will a man. Pope in that matter bow 2 a woman
Respect is reciprocal. If ur boss is a woman wont u respect her? Besides the woman is a head of a country, queen of Jordan. So she deserves some level of respect. The world has changed from the era when women are not seen or heard. Try commit a crime. U may be surprised that the judge that wl handle ur case is a woman. The Chancellor of Germany, equivalent of a President is a woman. The President of Liberia is also a woman and they have power over all men and women in their countries including religinus leaders,G.Os,Arch Bishops like Pope.

Politics / Re: Driver Commits Suicide Over Police Extortion by BabaOyee: 1:59pm On Aug 27, 2013
Well,I pity the man. He died a frustrated, though the action is a far cry from the cause. But many lessons to learn. He waited a long time to get this driving job which probably affected his driving mode.He may too eager to make for the time loss disregarding driving rules which not an excuse anyway. Another one is the corruption-plagued police who despite the recent episodes of recorded extortions refused to change. It was clear the man couldnt afford to raise N2,000 showing the level of poverty in this country. The last lesson is that, this happened in the North just few days after a young boy tried to escape from Benin in the South risking being crushed to death by air craft tyres. Are these not enough to wake our leaders up to do something about poverty in Nigeria?

Mistake has no master. Only God cant make mistakes. We have made one big or small mistake at one time or another. But whether big or small, correctible or permanent, mistake is still mistake. The man needs word of comfort more than anything now

Stories like these are rampant now. Another example is that of Linda,a Sierra Leonian lady and it is God's mercy to bring as many as are willing to Himself as the rapture of Saints are iminent signifying the first phase of Jesus' 2nd advent. Like who have hears listen to the time time table in the Spirit realm and run from sin. Jesus is coming back again, pls get prepared.
Religion / Re: Wearing Jewelries Takes One To Hell? by BabaOyee: 6:30pm On Aug 18, 2013
igbeke: Where in d Holy Bible were we taught anything dat is against earrings?
Job was said to be a perfect and upright man before God. JOB1:1
Yet when God was.to restore him, EARRING OF GOLD was among the presents he was given. Job 42:11
Did u ever wonder what he did with them?
ask me and I.will tell u.
Are we supposed to kno The Bible.more than The Almighty God that gave it?
Well this is my opinion:
moderation is what the Holy Bible asked us to apply in everything we do.
Human knowledge can not comprenhed God. The same ear rings collected were used to make golden calf when Moses tarried on the mountain. The piercing of the ear is man made and not God's. If God had wanted a hole there He would have made it there after all He opened the nose, eyes, mouth and other needed openings in the body. Why cant be on a safer side? Anything one can not forgo for God has become a god or idol. Obedience is better than sacrifice.

Crime / Re: Fake Doctor Delivered Over 90 Babies by BabaOyee: 1:14pm On Aug 17, 2013
Though kudos to the police on the arrest of the fake doctor bt this is just a tip of the ice berg. There thousands out there yet to be discovered or arrested. They thrive in their business because the level of medical facility provide by the govt can not round adequately and because they offer cheap services compared to well established private hospital but perhaps most importantly Nigeria is a free state. One can do most unimaginable thing on earth and go scotfree!

Education / Re: FG Dumps 9-3-4 For 1-6-3-3-4 Educational Structure by BabaOyee: 2:03pm On Aug 09, 2013
Basically there is no policy that is good or bad in itself but implimentation. This new system suggest that the dropped 6-3-3-4 system would have been the best considering the technical aspect of it that would have drastically reduced unemployment hence the little modification attached to it. However,it may be doomed to fail as other policies in the past if there is no proper implementation. Part of it is to ensure those who through technical education manage to pass thru the polythenic be given a place in the society like the University graduates counterpart else people wl stil ignore technical education for fear of societal recognition.

Buc: The reason the SW would never support the secession of the SE is because it terrifies them to remain with the Fulanis and I don't blame them, even the thought of it makes me feel pity for them. And history thought us the Fulanis had a hand in the collapse of their greatest kingdom and empire(Oyo empire) and probably would ve conquered them outright if not for the coming of the Europeans.

And history thought us the Fulanis had a hand in the collapse of their greatest kingdom and empire(Oyo empire) and probably would ve conquered them outright if not for the coming of the Europeans.
Truly the invasion of the Fulanis led to the fall of Old OYO EMPIRE and the enthronement of emireship at Ilorin till date but the fear of Yorubas that time was not based on that. It was based on the fact that Chief Awolowo wnted Nigeria to remain one entity and he expected that one day he will rule Nigeria as a President though it never came to pass.
Chief Awolowo was a fearless courageous and bold leader. He may have his own fault here and there as a mortal being but he could face any section of the country. He was never afraid of the North.
He told Gen Giowon point blank, if East was allowed to go, the West will go too.
This was never a statement of fear.
All said and done,I think Gowon, Ojukwu,Awolowo and others acted according to the infomation and circumstances prevalent as at that time. The still remaon heroes. We can take up Nigeria from where they left it and forget the past. If Nigeria can unity,we can be great. We need to be patriotic.

Car Talk / Re: Transmission Fluid Or Gear Oil In Radiator by BabaOyee: 5:30pm On Nov 21, 2012
It is quite possible.
The power steering mechanism uses the same transmission fluid as the automatic transmission gear.
To cool it a pipe is run thruogh the radiator. In essense, power steering fluid passes thru the radiator in a special way. So,if the pipe is leaking or the path through which it will pass inside the radiator,it may mix with the radiator water thereby colouring it. The remedy is to ascertain which one is leaking, the radiator or the pipe and change it appropriately.
A good mechanic can detect and fix it.
Phones / Re: How MTN Lied About The Airplane Promo[Picture] by BabaOyee: 12:24pm On Nov 14, 2012
MTN has been deceiving people from the onset. They started with N1,500 recharge card as the smallest. They said it wasnt possible to do per second billing until glo came. They did everything possible to frustrate glo before the later devised means of installmental payment. I am not surprised at their recent aircraft promo but it is possible because they knew the govt wont do anything to save the innocent citizens.
May be their next promo will be on electric train or Boeing 737
