Politics / Re: Putting Your Country First And Your Tribe Second by babasegun(m): 12:02pm On Feb 06, 2009
I find this topic very interesting , because I was having a conversation with a friend of mine, who is not Nigerian (but knows alot about Nigeria), and he was asking me about tribal issues in Nigeria, I was trying to convince in that tribalism in Nigeria is not as bad as racism in the western world, and he said how come our politics is tribal base, why cant we have an ibo president and ibo vice-president or in this case any other tribe, I find it very difficult to answer his question.Nevertheless I tried to explain to him how the whole colonization issue affected and shaped Nigeria as a nation, so whether we like it or not, Tribalism will have/has/had a very significant impact in our lives as Nigerians.

To the topic, I think I find myself putting my country first, even though it hasn't offered me much over the years, but ones country will always be home, it doesn't say on my passport whether am yoruba, hausa or ibo, so in this case I think I will put my country first, I think it high time we learnt that we can always claim our tribe for personal identity, but also we should always learn to rise and fall as one nation.when am at home I am yoruba, when am abroad I am Nigerian.

Romance / Re: Does Age Really Matter In A Relationship: by babasegun(m): 2:35pm On Jul 10, 2008
Since age does not equal maturity and intelligence, I dont think it matters to an extent, just make sure she is in your peer group. age is nothing but a number.
Romance / Re: Well Guys Lets Be Honest by babasegun(m): 8:21pm On Jul 09, 2008
As a matter of fact, this thread is kinda generalizing, and I don't think all black men or all black women are like that either, and come to think of it, from the little I know; I  think you should get married to whoever you fall in love with and on the basis of love only, not on race for that matter, and I know that sounds like a cliche. and if I damn well chose to cheat on my wife (which I am not going to do) ; I am going to cheat with who is sexier at that moment, black, white asian or latino, but thatz left to whoever is concern to decide, its a matter of choice. Its different strokes for different folks.
Education / Re: Acca, Masters In U.k Or Lbs? by babasegun(m): 11:31pm On May 08, 2008
Hey, I think you should go on with your job search and if its not forthcoming like you said and cant wait, its better you go for a master degree (Msc not an MBA). ACCA still requires work experience (PER)practical experience requirement, without that you wont be granted your acca qualification even after passing all your exams.

PS: there are differences between Msc and MBA

Business / Re: Venture Capital Funding For Dotcom Startups In Nigeria? by babasegun(m): 1:17pm On Jul 25, 2007
I think location has nothing to do with a dot com company, except if your target market is limited to certain people in certain location, so talking about venture capitalist company in Nigeria is just you thinking in a little space of a box, why can't you think outside the box, go for venture capitalist companies around the world and you will probably get something.

And dont forget venture capitalist companies are gonna go for about 40% of your company so be prepared and be ready with your negotiating skills because if they will see you have a great idea they will talk you out of it. And make sure your idea has a patent on it before you proceed. anywayz mail me and we can talk more skipoff4life@yahoo.com
Career / Re: You Can Also Graduate With B.sc And Acca (in 3 years) In Nigeria by babasegun(m): 5:20pm On Jul 18, 2007
This is so true, I'm a ACCA student and i will be getting my degree in a couple and I'm only 20, even though i'm not in Nigeria, but acca is global you can get it anywhere in the world, and Nigeria is not an objection, my mates are still in their sophomore year in Uni and am almost done.

I think it is really expensive in Nigeria and if you want to do it in England i recomment FTC Kaplan.

well, you can always be nice and shrewd at the same time, and you won't jeopardise the friendship, but a guy asking you out in the first place has jeopardised the friendship.
Career / Re: Top Ten Professional Exams by babasegun(m): 2:36pm On Jun 14, 2007
