Hello,

I just got an ice block machine as a gift from a relative.

I have no idea , how to go about the business

The machine can make 25 big blocks.

Who has an idea where i can situate it or manage it?

Where there is constant power, and a market in need of ice block?

I wont mind giving someone who can remit a fixed amount on a daily basis.

Will appreciate all the help as my eye dey red now for money
Career / What Do I Do, Dear HR Practitioner? by bamboke(f): 9:30am On Jan 13, 2016
I would like your opinion on this dear HR Manager.

I am next to this boss in the office. While she went on maternity last year, I stood in (though I was barely 2 months on the job then). While it was almost time for my confirmation in 6 months, she called me and mentioned that I was not wearing heels and that I made so much errors in my emails and letters. That she did not need someone to micromanage. Since then, she had appraised me horribly, while I managed about 4 departments in the office. She hating seeing my face in the mornings and was ready to talk about me to all superiors.

The main person called me and asked what the issue was, which I told him I did not know where it all stemmed from. He asked me to make my statement official, which I sent to him. He also said he was not going to allow them fire me as long as he was there, but this did not go well with me.

I was rendered redundant as my subordinates now do my job routed to them through the boss. As God would have it, I got another job but tendered my resignation on health and personal ground.

She called me for a chat and I still maintained the reason I wrote as I noticed she had the bad appraisals next to her. These she had hid for months. She had them file those appraisals as I am about to leave after non-confirmation for a year+.

I wish I could retrieve those appraisals. What do I do?

Family / Re: Should I Follow Her To The Church? by bamboke(f): 3:07pm On Aug 07, 2013
Fhemmmy: As long as you know they are not doing voodoo there, why not . . . be happy you have a mother in law willing to be behind you and not telling the son to go and marry another woman

I don't even know the church myself but she said people with issues go there and they pray into oil for you. I am so skeptical. Though I had dreamt about her coming to tell me about this and also about looking for how to send me out of her son's home and now she has asked me to go to the church.

What do I do when my mother-in-law invites me to a church that most people who need children go to?

I have no issue yet and we have been married close to 2 years.

I need your thoughts, please no insults.
Family / Re: When The Wife Earns And Contribute More To The Union? by bamboke(f): 9:04pm On Jun 23, 2013
But what if the man has decided not to do anything? He decides he wants to go for a course and she in the bid to help him back on his feet pays about 50k monthly for the course. He gets angry at slightest instances and doesn't like that the wife chips in a word at all. They both spend her money and she denies herself of some things cos of he but he doesn't appreciate. What do you say about this?
Family / Re: Can A Wife Advise Her Husband Or Just Keeps Praying For Him? by bamboke(f): 8:07pm On Jun 23, 2013
Efemena_xy: Posts, such as these, I find irritating.

There obviously are underlying issues that need to be addressed. Much of what you complain about are the results of the unresolved and ongoing problems.

Without saying much about these, nor anything about the woman in question's countenance, you've effectively judged, convicted and damned the man without so much as even giving us his perspective / side of the story.

Goodluck in your campaign for the husband bashing and inlaw bashing, Ms. Goody-two-shoes.

Asking for more light would have been better instead of being temperamental poster. She has been taking care of him for about 2 years now and she talks to him about things getting better. He hasn't been able to start anything as he doesn't have a flair for them and she had being able to take all in stride. How many woman can stomach this? Her inlaws think otherwise of her and don't see what help she renders to him (their 1st born)
Family / Would You Do This For Him? by bamboke(f): 7:59pm On Jun 23, 2013
At this time and age, can a woman who doesn't have an issue for her husband yet, sacrifice her career, life and money for him?

My friend's husband lost his job and he started a course which she pays dearly for and he would end it in a foreign school. He says he will work to get her to join him once he gets abroad but isn't it an opportunity to let her go?

What would you do if this was you?
Family / Can A Wife Advise Her Husband Or Just Keeps Praying For Him? by bamboke(f): 7:49pm On Jun 23, 2013
Hi everyone. If a woman foots the home bill and is fending the husband through cos of job loss, is it possible she can be seen as bad by the inlaws? They do not want to relate with her (live near each other) and whenever she talks about praying more to the husband, he gets insulted and tells her never to advise him. She is now his enemy and he sees no good in her. I guess such marriage can't last. The lady in question is already fed up.
Religion / Re: Can God Lead You To Marry Someone You Don't Love? by bamboke(f): 7:29pm On Jun 23, 2013

Family / For The Married Women by bamboke(f): 11:39am On Jan 23, 2013
Hello married women in the house. What would you do if you had stood by your husband for like 2 years, when he had no job, encouraging him all the way and paying all bills. Only for him to get favoured and given money to start a business, he starts pushing you away and becoming very unfriendly?
Family / Re: 12 Ways On How To Relate With Your In-laws by bamboke(f): 2:59pm On Jan 08, 2013
I took to my in laws initially till my dad died and I noted that none of them called me till I told my husband about it and also only his mum went with us to his burial. They don't come to our house as they said I don't visit them( we live adjacent each other). The boys call their brother, my husband to meet them outside and the sister, would bring tonnes of clothes to wash with our machine, without even talking to me. I have kept quiet and been looking at them. My husband is angry if I mention any of these to him. I am yoruba and he is ..... I am praying we move far from them soon or they end our marriage.

coogar:

that's the reason for the irrational behaviour....

their son's house......

they are africans.....they expect their son to take care of them! who knows how many of their properties they sold to train their son? i don't really see any big deal in parents expecting their son to take care of them - yes, the guy lost his job along the line and the parents should be considerate - but the point still stands!

But what if we don't mind taking care of the mother but the shit comes from the younger ones who are old enough to be married but are not working and they feel their brother owes them, despite fending for them till he got married? They spread lies among themselves and to their mother too

Akposkool: I seriously dnt see d role tribe plays here.why cant u visit ur hubby's family?i see u are trying to commonize them cus they arent doin so well.if they were very rich, wont u be going there 2 even help them in their domestic chores?the issue here is that you are trying 2 underate them n honey no one will take dat in this present generation.u dnt greet ur broda inlaw?try dat in urhobo culture and u knw wats up.plz madam put all their negative motives towards u aside and embrace them as a family.though i knw some inlaws are a tough bone to crack,bt u hav 2 play ur part fairly to fulfil all righteousness.

Even if they are stinking rich, i wont lick their feet and everyone would respect each other. Is it fair that you come to your elder brother's house and you dont greet his wife when she greets you or act ill? I think respect is reciprocal and if we lived far, they wouldnt behave that way. Do I have to go to their home each day in the name of family? Or how many times a week am I expected to pay homage? Please advise!
Family / Re: Relating With In-Laws From A Different Tribe by bamboke(f): 3:07pm On Nov 05, 2012
Thanks for all the post. but i didn't give them eye oo! Infact, i freely shared what I had, sent things over to them and gave but you know you can never satisfy anyone. WHen you dont have to give nko? Will anyone believe you or love you? I think its an attitude thing.
Family / Relating With In-Laws From A Different Tribe by bamboke(f): 3:11pm On Nov 04, 2012
My marriage to my hubby is a year now. I am yoruba while he is ibo. He lost his job while we were preparing for our wedding and we are trying to put together a business. We live near his family and had to feed them most times which was not easy. My dad died and we were not put to shame on needs.

His family always behave that he owes them for their upkeep and they all do nothing. They didn't come for my dad's burial and will still come to feed at my house with tipped up noses.

Recently, his brother who has no regard for me came and I didn't bother with him as he doesn't greet him. His family stopped coming to our home and his mum too.

Do I have to be concerned about this? They want me to be visiting their home but I don't like that even if we live near. Advise me as I don't know if this is peculiar to being married to people from other tribes who their families won't give them space?
