Arafat day, the climax of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, which always falls on the ninth day of Dhu Al Hijja, will fall on Saturday, August 10.

Oman announced that Monday, August 12, will be the first day of Eid Al Adha. Friday, August 2, is the 30th day of the Islamic month of Dhu Al Qa'da.

The government of Saudi Arabia has declared Saturday, August 10th as Arafat Day, the height of Hajj rites when pilgrims all over the world will converge on the Plain of Arafat for supplications.

What example he is laying to the religious place? What legacy is he laying? What will be the lessons that are expected of him? No one promise a revelation if these act is not summoned to order and the foolish rich old men are not brought to book or even called to right order. The religious places has assumed that only preaching prosperity is what is required of them whereas it is not so but upholding a practice that people and political individuals can emulate from and adopt.

Let the religious place be for whatever it has been assigned to be and stop assuming things. Also learn to tell the truth about some matters and stop withholding the necessary actions and saying what is not necessary on the pulpit, address issues as due. The religious leaders so called are the ones bringing filth to the churches or mosques now, wearing filthy garment. Heaven will not fall if you talk and heaven will equally remain in it position if you don’t talk but remember how many lives you will damage, how many people will go out there and continue this acts from where the so-called daddies stopped. Also remember that we have pronounced these places of yours to be religious places, but failure to call these people to order or address this issue is up to you.

Maiduguri Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction and sentencing of Josephine Udeh before Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court, sitting in Maiduguri, on a one-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N5,059,000.

Udeh, who was the Proprietress of Dala Standard Secondary School, Maiduguri, allegedly collected the said sum as WAEC registration fees from 284 students of her school and converted it to her private use.

She however pleaded not guilty upon her arraignment on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.

In the course of the trial, the prosecution presented 10 witnesses and 10 exhibits which pushed her to enter into a plea bargain agreement with the EFCC.
At the resumed hearing on Wednesday, prosecution counsel, Benjamin Manji, prayed the court to substitute an earlier charge filed on the April 9, 2019 with an amended charge of the day, July 31, 2019.

The amended charge reads: “That you, Josephine Udeh being the director of Dala Standard Secondary School, Maiduguri, sometime between 2017 and 2018 at Maiduguri, Borno State within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, did dishonestly misappropriate the sum of N5,059,000 (Five Million and Fifty-nine Thousand Naira) only, being monies meant for 2017/2018 WAEC registration fees for 284 students of the said Dala Standard Secondary School, Maiduguri and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 308 of the Penal Code Law cap 102 Laws of Borno State of Nigeria and Punishable under Section 309 of the same Law.”
