Jobs/Vacancies / Re: British Airways by blueiyke(m): 1:55pm On Nov 26, 2008
Eeyore, where are you at?

They have finally started calling oo. Three of my palls just got their invitation for , a 2nd test angry angry angry at BA office at Ikoyi for Friday the 28th.

Me never get my own sha, but no shaking.

Abeg holler.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: British Airways by blueiyke(m): 2:18pm On Nov 22, 2008
undecided undecided undecided

Eeyore, methinks the best way to handle the suspense is to just blank our minds and "temporarily" forget BA.

When they are good and ready, they will come looking for us. At least they know where to find us, don't they?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: British Airways by blueiyke(m): 8:33am On Oct 28, 2008
I can't believe British Airways is taking all the time in the world to proceed with this exercise.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: British Airways by blueiyke(m): 9:42am On Oct 24, 2008
Eeyore,

I also wrote the test and I'm waiting with bated breath for the next stage. Yes, it wasn't as difficult as I expected too.

I sent a mail to your mail-box, let's keep in touch while we wait them out.

One love.
Music/Radio / Re: Lucky Dube Shot Dead In Johannesburg by blueiyke(m): 7:40am On Oct 19, 2007
That could have been the story of Tuface, if not for divine intervention. I can imagine the stick we would have gotten if that had happened here in Nigeria. Goes to show you that the security situation in South Africa is not better than what we have here in Naija.

Anyways, the guy will be sorely missed.
Religion / Re: The NBC ban of unverified TV miracles in Nigeria by blueiyke(m): 3:26pm On Jul 26, 2007
"I welcomed it. The question is miracle at whose instance. Everything is all set before the cameras. Nigeria is the only country I see miracle happen instantly. If you go to civilized countries you won’t see this. That is another extreme because they have conquered the environment. I welcome the ban, it is not a mark of true religion but false utopia. I didn’t say that I don’t believe in miracles. I do. My existence itself is a miracle."
Father Gabriel Osu

The reverend said that Nigeria is the only country he sees miracles happen instantly. Well, if the bible is true at all, then all of the miracles of Jesus happened instantly. No go come.

Besides, if we can understand and explain miracles, then they are no longer miracles. Geniune miracles should be beyond our understanding.

My two kobo.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Which Way Nlng? by blueiyke(m): 3:23pm On May 04, 2007
Kuwena, at the rate you are going, are you sure Nairaland is not your place of primary assignment? It's as though you don't have anything else to occupy you other than making a song out of this NLNG stuff and dancing to it.

Pally, don't put all your hope on NLNG oo, otherwise you would just die if they don't call you finally. Believe me, I've been there.

Anyways, all the best to you and all the other NLNG hopefuls.

Career / Re: Why You Must Not Work In Banks by blueiyke(m): 11:58am On Nov 02, 2006
Discredit bank work as much as u like, the fact is that the sector is the biggest employer of labour in Nigeria today. I've always wanted a career in Human Resources Mgt, so I read Psychology in school, hoping to develop that inmy master's.
After NYSC, it was only banks that provided ready vacancies. So what do I do?, Sit @ home and wait for my dream job? Naahh. I had to take a job with a bank. It has not been a wlk in the park, but it has toughened me for the world ahead.
Besides, the money is good.In 5/ 6 yrs, I will be out with enough capital to do what I really wanted to do - Human Resources Consultancy.

The poster should have used a proffesion or ,at worst, her own tribe as the butt of the joke.
I'm getting tired of jokes that thrive on stereotypes.
To me, such ceases to be jokes. They are insults. Let's call a spade by its right name.

Hey people, abeg has anyone heard the next thing about the series of selection tests for graduates, some of us wrote for Shell.

They are really taking their time oooo. angry
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Kpmg by blueiyke(m): 12:41pm On Jul 20, 2006
@ imeyed

I also wrote the test on the same day, at Ikeja. I passed & was given the said form to fill.I have since returned the form to them, but I've not heard anything from them.

But I'm not bothered. I just use the time to sharpen my interviewing skills, 'cos I know they must surely invite me.
Like dappy777 pointed out, some of the interview questions would be based on the info u put in the form.

Zeb Ejiro's "Treasures" has actually been on ABS TV(Anambra Broadcasting Services) for sometime now.

The story is good, but I think the production needs a little touch of quality.

Anyway, na them sabi. I'm definitely not about taking paracetamol for the Italians' headache.
