The online application I started can I delete it before I go and submit my paper application or it doesn’t matter, as I did not submit online it’s just in my account? Pls answer?

I join and agree. I have borrowed sense applying via paper today. I started an online application can I delete before I go and submit .

I agreed with u
joe10:

My simple advise is that you use the paper route because 'what will be will always be' regardless of the type of application method chosen. There is so much delay on the online route which does not guarantee TRV approval at the end. So traumatising, Imagine someone whose application was tied down for 12 weeks without a medical call and the outcome was refusal. Mine was delayed for 9 weeks, If i didn't send messages across who knows, could have been 12 weeks as well. Paper route refusal messages are always sent within a month, we have seen cases on this forum where applicants get TRV refusal messages in 2-3 weeks after application submission, at least such applicant has ample time to request for his/her GCMS note before reapplying in the next one or two months.

Also, using Paper route your forms will be thoroughly vetted by VFS attendants to ensure all I's and T's are properly dotted and crossed. You can visit VFS office and submit same day provided you get early enough.

I hope this helps.

Please I would like to know if it’s advisable to apply online with all the delays being stated on this thread for September or take chances with the paper route. My problem is the paper route is that from this thread they are quick to refuse but faster in response...any advise

Thank you.
So in conclusion, the child needs to apply for a study permit and not visitors visa?
And you are certain of this?
What if the child goes to Canad with a visitor visa and since he is already in Canada, now applies for study permit,
which he may not need at that point anyway? Is this legal?

Apply for a visitors visa for the child

You have made a mistake already but i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you because you can't deposit more than £1,265 for accommodation, this a amount will be removed from the total money needed for maintenance money. Because she is below the age of 17 you many get away with it because application under that age is regarded as a child

Maintenance money for schools outside London is £1,015 per month for 9 months

Since you haven't submitted already please can you read these sections of this like https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/623341/T4_Migrant_Guidance_29_June_2017.pdf

223 to 230

Those sections deals with child tier 4 visa application.

If you have any problem ask here lets discus it

Wow. We paid the fees and the 1k for accommodation at first. In june , Then completed the total fees in July, And we are quite a number of parents that did that from the same secondary school.

Thanks for the response will still proceed with her application. We were told because it is foundation we are not doing the child student visa thats for boarding schools.

Thanks for your quick response. God bless.

justwise:

How much did you pay for the accommodation?

I PAID FULL TUITION 14,250
Accommodation 5,550

school accommodation, its foundation in Nothingham and she is 16+ yrs. they gave us a discount of about 4k if not total was to be about 21k about. all written in the CAS

The account is fully active but the CAS did not reflect that we had paid the accommodation just stated the full payment we made which came to about 16k plus. the CAS also states the discount but we thought it will say accoommodation - paid. full tuition - paid. so that our account can just reflect her maintenance, if not do we still put amount of accommodation again, it will delay us as school starts on the 18th sept and CAS just came out on Friday. if it is just maintenance for 28 days we are good to go. account fluctuates but never below her maintenance amount for 28 days.
pls forgive typos.

thanks for quick response.

1. Click on this Link:

https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/family-members
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-for-dependants-of-uk-visa-applicants-tiers-1-2-4-5

2. Take your time to navigate the web pages

3. Where in the UK will you be studying?
London? You require GBP 845 x 9 = GBP 7,605 per dependant.
For two children its = GBP 7,605 x 2 = GBP 15,210 ONLY.

Are you going with your wife?
That is another GBP 7,605

Plus the 15,210 = GBP 22,815 Only.
Total for Dependants = 22,815 ONLY.

I assume you have already settled your own school fees, and shown your own Maintenance money yeah?

Outside of London, you must have at least £680 per month to support yourself

For example, a Tier 4 (General) applicant who is applying for leave to study in London at the same time as their spouse and 2 children would need to show that they have £845 per month for their spouse and a further £845 per month for each of their children, in addition to £1265 per month required for their own support. In total the family will require evidence that they hold £3800 in available funds up to a maximum of 9 months (3 x £845 = £2535 + £1265).

Hi Nairalanders... I have been going through the threads and it has helped me a lot. I currently have a 5 yr TRV and I have just come back from a visit to Canada My son is in York Uni. I would like to go to school for a masters but I fall behind the requirement. I already have an MBA from uk and to apply for PHD I need GRE 2:1 which I don't have. And Also MBA is hard to translate to PHD. I would like to know if I can get a 1 year graduate diploma and argue in my SOPThat I need it for my work which I actually do and will help me back my application for PHD as its a research diploma. Sorry for long ranting na the age..Lol. Has anyone been successful by this route.

Just something to encourage hopefuls. I had enquired in August about the likelihood of my husband and I getting a visa to escort my then 15 year old son to school he turned sixteen last week. Issue is I am at of work currently, and my husband was refused USA visa in 2011 so I was abit apprehensive, but took the advice I got from the NL which suggested we both applied and so we did.

Application : 28 September

Medical mail: 12 October

Medical done. 13 October

Approval mail: 20 October for only my son so we were worried

Picked up passport today we were all given visas.

Really grateful for the advice, my husband will drop him off at school next week.. We used the paper route.

[quote author=montrealer post=38333670]I'll say you should apply. The fact that you're not working shouldn't be a problem. You are a stay at home mom & that is your home tie: the fact that you'll come back to care of your other 3 children.
All the best.

Thank you for your response montrealer. Will do that.

Dear Nairalanders I sincerely need your good advise. My husband and I have decided to send our 15 year old almost 16 in October to Canada to a boarding school / university preparation school as he just finished his SSCE. Because his a minor the school advised that one of us should apply along with him, we had planned the both of us but we have 3 younger children and after reading this thread I think it is better one applys, it is to drop him off at the school and turn back. Tuition has been paid, the school appointed a guardian and we have all the documents, property, tenants agreement for our property balance on SOA is above 30m.... My question is who should go. I am not currently working so I am scared they will use it against me, although we travel yearly abroad as a family so hopefully won't be rejected on travel history, On the other hand my husband has a coma with a US refusal in 2011, I am worried that this will affect his chances. Because if he is refused I am worried of my don going to school alone, although the school has said that they will pick him at the airport...me or my husband who do you think is more likely to be refused. God bless as you answer.

Onye oma:

I'll advise you leave ur children cos they'll act as 1st class hometie...when you're settled, you can easily bring them over (afterall, Canada is keenly interested in uniting families).

Alternatively, if you have enough cash in ur SOA (for their assumed upkeep) and other strong evidence that'll act as hometime (such as lands or business establishment), you can apply with them @ once (though has its own limitations).

Lastly, with online application, you'll no longer experience such long period of time for visa processing...

You still have enough time to make a final decision and work things out very well...

I wish you the best.
