Shame on the writer of this article. The revelations showed collusion among state actors, Nigerian military, IOCs and international community. Shell dey form no knowledge about a siphoning of crude from escravos (from major pipeline o) but acknowledge it's been going on for 9yrs!, navy only destroyed a ship after it bearthed and loaded crude!, no international outcry from global media over the discovery but if na endsars we no go hear word or if to say na America, shell for don hear am. All of una dey ment. You think we be mumu We know Tompolo contract na charade but the revelations is enough for me to lose hope in Nigeria. |

affable4:I completely disagree. This is one of the reasons we elect governors to be innovative in means to drive IGR up. The story used to be Lagos was this and that..... Was Ogun the capital of Nigeria, or is it oil producing? Yet it generates 100b. Kaduna change its story right before our eyes with El-Rufai by trippling IGR. Check out the 3 northern states that are among the highest IGR growth rate. Let others sit down and be waiting for natural resources that will increase their IGR. We go dey here dey watch. |

GooErubs:Oga learn. They are educating you. Don't be fixated on exchange rate. Think about value (Purchase Price Parity), stability and balance of trade. Those are the determinants of currency worth. ECO101 This was what BAT mentioned but ignorance no go gree people understand. 10 Likes |

I share the same leaning with BAT on this and I think many world leaders do, esp from emerging markets leaders but I will not express it bluntly like BAT said. The issue of climate change and LGBTQ are so sensitive in our world today that it can cost a candidate his political career. Trump couldn't be that blunt Alberta Premier couldn't be that blunt I think BAT should have been more diplomatic esp when Nigeria/APC govt. just requested debt forgiveness on the altar of support for climate change My opinion 1 Like 1 Share |

Greenback:It doesn't hurt to speak the truth. Don't kill your sense of judgement because of bigotry. If you are silent in the face of injustice, it will consume you when others are silent too. Insurgency thrive when community condones it. Just imagine, 2min after calling some gallant(heroic, brave, courageous), they wailed (shouting ewooo) at the sight of the dead. All of them indigenes! Is that not a spell? 5 Likes |

Common can you not hear in the background the indigenes hailing them as fearless and gallant youths? Who bewitched these people. How will your sons be killing one another and you are at ease. Tufiakwa! 11 Likes |

Sonyboom765:Show me a link where I have insulted Lagos. Where is your humanity? When did it become fashionable to rejoice at others' misfortune? Your justification is that they did it you too ba? Shame. You are not more Yoruba than I am, you are not more Lagosian than I am and you are not more BATified than I am. Go figure. |

PO should stop being clever by half. Pandora investment is not legitimate investment vehicle. That's why it was a scandal all over the world. If it was legitimate, why are all western and local politicians dissociating from it. Why are the lives of those who released it threatened? As a matter of fact, show me any politician or individual that embraced Pandora report except this shameless one. If you want to know the details of how illegitimate it is, read the premium times expose on PO wrt Pandora. Again, is that why he didn't include it in asset asset.declaration? |

Mexy0147:It's all money laundry. You hear "I sell spare parts and I paid $1.2m when I was kidnapped" or I own a club or I sell cars.... Both him and his kidnappers know his real business. It's all money laundry. What's the margin on spare part, club, car sales? Exotic home stores in VI that nobody patronized and it's always looking brand new.... 1 Like |

A LP candidate always consulting with PDP stalwarts and brokering peace among PDP members; not ideologically different from AA and considers PDP candidate as his leader to date. Yeye dey smell. Who is really running for presidency? 5 Likes 1 Share |

So they are no.longer fake ministers, mechanics and touts? So one of them is real but collected money? Interesting times and storyline. |

But Peter Obi will be 70 by then. And will still be the youth's choice. Yeyenatu! |

I really don't see how Bode George will ever align with Tinubu! Same with Makinde and Ortom wrt APC. Too dangerous for them. I'm assuming it's just a decoy by PDP to distract opposition. The coming election is going to be interesting. |

agadez007:Exposing your ignorance. Printing money doesn't mean printing notes/coins, which is the trash you wrote up there. Read up man. PO supporters deserve PO walahi. |
![]() |
agadez007: 80% of countries around the world printed money to survive COVID. Nigeria is no exception. BAT stated what is obviously needed. US, CANADA, UK,SA... Name them. except you don't understand the concept of printing currencies which you can read up on. You make some of us think that BAT is ahead of PO in reasoning which is why the live debate may not be important. |

Peter Obi's supporters are ignorant. This tax has always existed and all local governments in Nigeria tax this. I don't know of any LGA that implements it to the letter as to tax every individual but they do to SMEs. Just ask the SMEs in your LGs. |

Word on the marble 'We call on all well-meaning Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic origins or political divides, to rise up and condemn this tactless tactics and cheap manoeuver by a desperate non-starter of a presidential candidate who has decided to resort to crude revisionism, ethnic jingoism and crass insensitivity with a view to whipping up undeserved sentiment to fuel his faltering ambition that is nothing but a flash in a pan' |

Dele Alake sef get time. If anybody has proof that his name is different, that he owns alpha beta, that he enriched himself fraudulently, present evidence now. It's been 23years since the rumor has been going round. Take him to court and present evidence. It's a criminal offence! But journalists too have responsibilities to ask rumor monger questions and verify claims. Tinubu has told you who he is with documents, counter him with facts. |

I support criticism of the monarchy (not in her cantankerous manner though) but I will not agree with anybody rewriting history. The British has nothing to do with Biafra with due respect to all concerned. Some few chose Biafra war, majority supported it emotionally. The 2 sides of the war formed alliances and one won. It could have gone the other way. The only reason we are still having the conversation is because the victor chose to be magnanimous in victory. You miscalculated; started and lost a war. Rest it and take responsibility. #Bittertruth. |

Says someone who didn't conduct LGA elections until 2months to his exit. Is he saying that FG gave money to LGAs directly or what's the import of his analogy? Or he plans to pay directly to LGAs (which he didn't think was important as governor) if he becomes president? |

thebosstrevor1:You are right about PO While I understand AA, who thinks the way out is privatization or trade liberalization and restructuring (stating only state police which all of them stole from CSOs) and I understand BAT, who thinks improving production through consumption viz expansionary fiscal policy as in his agbado analogy (even though I'll like to ask how he'll fund it, hopefully not borrow) I don't understand how contractionary monetary policy as canvassed by PO will improve economy, or even reduce inflation if he understands the cause of Nigeria's inflation. Also building human capital without infrastructure sounds confusing. I await proper campaign to assess their manifestos. 1 Like |

Don't mind politicians who just want to sound different. There is no development without infrastructure! Infrastructure reduces the cost of business, links entrepreneurs to opportunities, and Provides/equilibrate opportunities for all (esp the masses). Building human capital (term used loosely by politicians) without infrastructure is building capable individuals for environments with opportunities, as in brain drain. These individuals will migrate to find expression if there is no infrastructure in their local environment. 1 Like |
