You can build big bridges, flyovers, skyscrapers and aesthetic roads but if you don't have human development, your people will remain poor, because even if you are able to attract investors or whosoever, they are going to employ people with knowledge(probably they will employ foreigners to do the jobs because the indigenous people are without skill and knowledge). It might boost the economy for those working with those firms receiving huge salaries(they can afford what they need) but what happens to the unemployed one or the cleaners or securities that receive the smallest portion?(these poor will happened to be 80% of the country population)
That is the typical example of what is happening in this country.

Watching this video today, I really want to know what issues people have with this position. Except I didn't understand what he said.
He thinks rather than austerity measures (like we had in mid 80's), that we should spend our way out of the economic challenges like US (most western countries) is doing and increase demand/consumption which should raise production. E.g recruit 50m (which he corrected to 5m) youth army, feed them with agbado, cassava, yam...that we locally produce and drive production/demand and reduce insecurity. He even explained value chain derivable from such agric produce.
