My friend, you are indeed overreacting, the question is do you even know what Kayanmata means? Kanyanmata is simply women's beauty products, this is traditional to the northerners, particularly women. It ranges from women's libido enhancers to tattoos, facial products, and fruit mache consumption. All these are different categories of kanyanmata. Probably it is misinformation/assumption that people in the SE/SS region have that makes it seems it is all about Jazz or voodoo against men.

I guess the marking strategy of Jaruma is partly causing this drama of Kayanmata to be seen with negative insight. My broda it is rather the heinous acts that make the animals also behave the same way. You see I have always been a fan of "Do what works for you" and never compare someone's situation with yours, that's the irony of life. What Mr.A is doing or going through is different from that of Mr. B, these are simple life rules that people never embrace or fail to understand.

In my own case, I am 32 and still in my father's house not because I cannot stay on my own but because for certain reasons.

Reasons

1. Our family house is in Lagos and my father works and lives in P.H in a 4-bedroom flat, he was staying alone until I joined him after my NYSC 6 years ago.
2. He needs someone to help him run around and do certain things because he is so busy (a director in a company).
3. I am also working and use the opportunity to save money and plan ahead, I also contribute to feeding ourselves on monthly basis.
4. I am completely independent financially.
5. I am not the type that chases women, drinks, or goes clubbing rather I focus on building myself by doing courses related to my field and also a freelancer.
6. The only benefit I enjoy is that I do not pay house rent, and why should I be rushing to pack out when there are empty rooms no one is occupying.

So you see, for me, these are the reasons I am still in my father's house and I am not pressured to go and marry and all that but using this opportunity to save and plan for the future.

Everyone has a different scenario and should be wise to choose what would work for him/her and not because you just want the freedom to frolic around and do stupid things.

Hello guys sorry to bother you with my personal problems

I am a guy who was brought up in my uncle's home, i practically grew up knowing my uncle and his family as my own though i am aware that they are not my biological family. He has 8 children and it so happens that i am the eldest in the family, there is 8 months age difference between me and his eldest child but we all love each other (so it seems so far) except their mom who resents me and always feels like i am taking her children's place in the family, this is because my uncle has genuine love for me and always refers me as his first son.

To cut the whole story short i always have this anxiety when it comes to controlling my siblings as an elder brother would. I am always anxious when i want to control any unruly behavior or ask them to do something, i always do not want to get on their nerves and cause a fight even though i am 100% sure they will listen. I always show them genuine love whenever they do something good but when it comes to controlling their excess i am always anxious and even though my uncle gives me 100% support i just can't cope with such situations.

Please i need genuine advice on how to handle siblings.

You know that we have a lot of hypocrites in this forum, most of the people complaining that why is a 20 year old still in his parents are mostly the ones not even ready to move out of their parents home and probably above 28 years of age. This people seem to have forgotten that this is Nigeria and things are not easy at all.

I see no reason why people should complain about those still staying in their parents house, do you know the reason if i may ask? People have different paths in life and what works for A will not work for B. Just focus on your on path and stop ranting and forming Mr/Mrs perfect in everything people discuss in this forum.
