Politics / Fayose`s Attacks On Buhari Childish - Kashamu by changeagent(m): 3:12pm On Aug 26, 2016
– Senator Kashamu says Governor Fayose lacks the temperament and credentials to counsel anyone on democracy and the rule of law
– The senator blames Fayose for the leadership crisis rocking the PDP
– Kashamu describes the governor’s constant bashing of the president on any and every issue or incident as predictable and monotonous
The Senator representing Ogun east senatorial district in the National Assembly, Buruji Kashamu, has berated Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state for calling President Muhammadu Buhari a dictator.

Kashamu, reacting to Fayose’s condemnation of the alleged sealing off of the residence of the former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso, by the police, said the governor lacks the temperament and credentials to counsel anyone on democracy and the rule of law.
According to the Tribune, in a statement issued on Friday, August 26, in Lagos, Kashamu said Fayose’s sudden posture as a latter-day human rights activist and advocate for the rule of law distorts the authenticity of civil rights advocacy.
He said the governor’s political trail is muddied by his inglorious acts of lawlessness, impunity and flagrant disregard for the rule of law.
The senator said Fayose’s crass lawlessness, impunity and flagrant disregard for democracy and the rule of Law are at the roots of the leadership crisis rocking the PDP.
He said: “The nation will not forget how he belligerently hampered the courts in Ekiti State when some persons instituted a matter against him at the Ekiti State High Court in the build up to his election in 2014. Many of his benefactors and indigenes of Ekiti State are still squirming from the sting of his high-handedness and betrayal.
“You cannot give what you do not have and a man who is himself guilty of a human rights violation, lawlessness and impunity cannot become a judge, jury and crusader for any advocacy for the sanctity of the law. He is merely playing to the gallery.”
Kashamu said it was common knowledge that Kwakwanso and his successor, the governor of Kano state, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje have some political differences which bother on ego and leadership of the APC in the state even while they are members of the same party.

He suggested that it was too cheap for Fayose to drag President Buhari into the Kano state political crisis; adding that the governor’s constant bashing of the president on any and every issue or incident has become predictable, monotonous and childish.
“It is high time he realized that the elections are over and the President is the leader of all. If anyone seeks to denigrate him, he is not just rubbishing the symbol of our sovereignty but the entire country and its people,” Kashamu said.
“Like I have often said some of those making the noise are doing so for selfish reasons. Fayose was the loudest in criticizing the Federal Government’s anti-corruption until it was revealed that he benefitted from the arms fund and got a lot of kickbacks from contracts in Ekiti State. The need to launder his squalid image is understandable but a pot does not get scrubbed clean of soot because it is audacious enough to call a kettle black.”
Meanwhile, former governor of Kano state, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has petitioned President Muhamnadu Buhari, the Senate president, Dr Bukola Saraki and Police Service Commission (PSC) over alleged invasion and sealing off of his office.
In the petition dated August 24 and signed by Aliyu Sani Madaki and Yusuf Bello Suleiman, the former governor alleged that the action was carried out by the state police command at the directive of the state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
He called on Buhari and the Police IG, Ibrahim K. Idris, to call the state police commissioner to order, in the interest of peace in the state, Tribune reports.

Why do i need to comment again,
May Chukwu Okike Abiama Bless you my sister;

changeagent you have some Questions to attend to here most especially why you 'our brothers' from the other side don't want our history be told and Why we should we forget Biafra war
I need only one reason,
Thank u

I know it is hard to forget, but the more the memory lingers, the more hatred it births. How do I forget past events? Not that I dont remember, but I decide not be controlled by the feelings that come with it. I have had people who offended me,friends who tried to sabotage my progress in life and yet I still relate with them very well now. Have I forgotten what they did? NO, but I don't relate with them based on what they have done and I don't relate with them as if they have maltreated me before. I pray for them, I love the even so called unlovable. And with the help of God we can all do it. GOD IS LOVE AND LOVE COVERS MULTITUDE OF SIN. Shalom

The Op is a low self-esteem asslid who enjoys being bashed and abused. He may not even be Yoruba, he knows threads like this always end in Yoruba being bashed into mudsling, so why keep creating them?

There will never be unity among all tribes in Nigeria. What we need is respect and civility.
As a man of peace I will not abuse you because you abused me. Imaging me exchanging words with you, that will definitely defeat the purpose of this thread. Please stop being tribalistic my brother. We are all humans and the same blood runs in our veins. The only difference is the geographical locations we find ourselves. I am Yoruba guy, but a human being first. Thanks and God bless you

my brother I have never been like that and I will not. I am not tribalistic. As a Christian I was taught to always pray for the peace of my Jerusalem which is Nigeria. Check my profile I am Christian and every good should obey the teachings of Christ. How many of us go on our kneels tp pray for this country? I have IBO friends, I grew up among hausas, I served among ikpwere and I discovered that every tribe is good but in every tribe there are bad eggs. Shalom

my brother if you understand the tiers of government very well, each tier is saddled with responsibilities. The Federal government cannot do the work alone and believes that the state is closer to the people. We need to start holding the States accountable.

The major setbacks to Nigeria progress and development are religion and tribal differences and it has cut across every sector in Nigeria including Nairaland. I almost shed tears this evening when I was analysing the situation of this country with a colleague. A Muslim man will not condemn a Muslim leader who has failed to do what is expected of him because of the religion affiliation. A Christian will rather look for a way of justifying a fellow Christian instead of critisicm even when the fellow has done something wrong because they are brethren. It is so pathetic that at this global age this still reflects in our political system when tribalism and religion are placed above competency.

Sadly, even on Nairaland when a criminal case is been reported, the so-called Naiaralanders are quick to check names of the perpetrators to know whether to support or go against them.

Have these tribalism and religion sentiment taken us anywhere? My people from the oil producing states let us ask the leaders there what they have been doing with the 13% derivatives they get from the federation account and hold them accountable for our predicament. My brothers from the North let us quickly and publicly condemn any barbaric act. My people we need to erase the past memories of war and stop feelings of been marginalized. Is there any of our states in the east that doesn't get an appropriate allocation from the federal Government? Our so called leaders from the east should be asked what they have been doing with the allocations.

Lastly, my fellow Nairalanders, let us use this great forum to promote unity and peace in this country. Say no to any form of violence, hate speech and any thing that serves as a threat to our national progress and developments. Thanks

AKINNIYI LATEEF SAMSON

Accessing financial provision through divine direction....Gen 12:1-4, 13:3, Isaiah 48:17

TRUTHS ABOUT FINANCIAL PROVISION
1. God cannot provide for you financially beyond your life of obedience to Him. Job 36:10-11

2. You can never achieve one thousand more promise without a life of obedience. Deuteronomy 1:11

3. God needs to be engaged and acknowledged to experience His leading for financial provision.

PRACTICAL STEPS

1. Build a vibrant and sensitive spiritual life. Romans 8:6

2. Make a commitment to acknowledge concerning your financial dealings. Pro 3:1-6

3. Make a commitment to obey whatever God tells you about your finances. Isaiah1:19

Politics / Lai Mohammed Takes Loan For China Trip by changeagent(m): 8:55pm On May 12, 2016
Mr. Mohammed revealed that there was not enough money in the department of tourism to cover the expenses of his trip to China. SaharaReporters then asked whether multiple letters requesting “loans” were also sent to various government agencies and parastatals under his watch, which Mr. Mohammed replied, “I do not owe you an obligation or duty to tell you that.”
SaharaReporters has obtained a letter written on behalf of the Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed to the National Broadcasting commission (NBC) requesting a loan of N13,120,470.
The letter, authored by the Director of Public Relations and Protocol, NPD Dama, begins by stating “I am directed to inform you [NBC] that the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed is proceeding on official assignment to China on Sunday, 15th May 2016.
It then continues, “the Honourable Minister has therefore approved that you loan the Ministry the total sum of (N13,120,470) thirteen million, one hundred and twenty thousand four hundred and seventy Naira only to enable him and his team embark on the China trip to carry out the assignment.”
Mr. Mohammed confirmed the existence of the loan to a SaharaReporters correspondent saying “it’s not unusual when the ministry wants to do something but you don’t have enough funds you ask one of your parastatals under you to provide the funds for the trip.”
“While we are waiting for the appropriate head to have the money you can go to any of your parastatals and ask, give us the money and when we are funded we will return the money to you,” he added.
Mr. Mohammed also told our correspondent that he could not access his Ministry’s budget because it has only just now been approved. Worried about how the memo was leaked, Mr. Mohammed said, “I am so disappointed that an internal memo like that would be with SaharaReporters, it shows a lack of integrity in the ministry.”
When SaharaReporters began questioning why Mr. Mohammed requested a loan from the NBC, and not from a tourism parastatal since the trip is for tourism investment, he responded by saying “the way the ministry is run is not the subject of public discussion.”
Later, however, Mr.
When our correspondent pushed the minister to offer a breakdown of the trip costs he again stated: “that I do not owe you any obligation to tell you that.”
SaharaReporters then asked: “don’t you owe the public explanation for how you spend their money?” To which Mr. Mohammed said, “I do not.”

Lying Liars! No tribunal can 'sack' any governor to install another. The electoral law forbids that. The worst they can do is to order rerun.

As for this case, the Judge is yet to give his verdict.

Are you a Nigerian or you just came back to the country after many years in exile? Segun Oni was sacked and Fayemi was installed in Ekiti state, likewise Oyinlola and Aregbesola in Osun state.

Too bad, how APC will be sacking other parties like that, is it because they are in Power or what? To bad if this story is true, because the presidential the the thing that they are the only party deserve everything?
When I heard about the judgment, what first came to mind was if APC is not influencing the judgment.
