Religion / The Power Of Grace Part 5 by charisville: 8:27am On Aug 26, 2013
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is God's power for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 NET

Beloved have you experienced grace personally? Grace is not an impersonal force nor is it the kind disposition of God's unmerited favour towards sinners. Neither is it an initial endowment, sufficient for conversion.

Grace is the personal and divine action of God in the Person of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the transforming power of God. Beloved, don't try to outwardly modify your behaviour; allow the power in the good news of grace transform you inside out.

Grace is a "building" force. No wonder Paul said, "I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."(Acts 20:32) Beloved, would you allow grace build you up and give you that God-promised inheritance? Grace works for those that believe. The more you trust in His grace, the more you live rightly.
Remember believing in His grace, will always produce right living. Declare this; "Lord I believe, trust and put my confidence in Your grace".

Prayer: Lord, my life is being built up by the word of Your grace in Jesus Name.

Another meaning for the word "power" in this text is "moral power and excellence of soul". It is the inherent moral power and excellence of spirit in a believer that causes him to live rightly. The power of the gospel of grace is the empowerment needed to live above sin. For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God’s favor and mercy] (Romans 6:14).

When you are under the divine influence of grace, you live above self and sin; depending solely on the righteousness of God. Grace is a force beloved; the same force that raised Jesus from the dead- the resurrection power. The Spirit of God is also referred to as the Spirit of Grace (Zech 12:10); if the Spirit of Grace that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, that same Spirit will quicken (give a living force) to your mortal bodies (Romans 8:11). The prophets of old were acquainted with the power coming on them, but they had not experienced the indwelling of the Spirit of God.

Do you want to see God work in and through your life? Believe the Good news of His grace today; trust and firmly rely on God's grace

Beloved, religion and self righteousness makes one tired. You've tried to get out of the addiction and that habit, but the more you try the more you go deeper. You've tried to settle the huge debt you owe, but nothing seems to be happening. You've tried to serve and please God the way you've been taught. You are worn out of religion and tired of going round in circles. Your salvation is nearer than you thought friends, now is the hour of salvation. Thank God for the Gospel of Grace which is the power of our daddy God that will save you.

The grace of God, that carries with it, the power of salvation has appeared to all men(Titus 2:11), let this grace empower you, let Him deliver you and heal your heart. When the power of grace is working in your life, it changes your life, and everything that concerns you. This saving power is what the prophets of old enquired and searched diligently, they even prophesied about it(1 Peter 1:10). The angels also looked to understand the power of the gospel of grace(1 Peter 1:12).

We have something very precious beloved. The prophets wondered, how would a person just believe and their lives are transformed? How can you have the Holy Spirit living inside you? How can you have this inherent ability residing inside you?

Beloved if only you can believe and put your trust in the good news of His grace. The inherent ability, starts to work, when you believe.

Prayer: Lord I believe and trust your goodnews of grace. Thank you for the boldness to declare this goodnews to others.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8 NKJV

Charis Ville Capsule

Beloved, our Daddy God is willing to do more than you can ask, think or imagine. He is ready to bless and increase His children. His hands are open wide to protect us and provide for every of our needs. But believers might not be opportuned to handle all that our Father has in store because they are busy trying to give to God, rather than receiving from Him. The lesser is blessed by the greater. We might be giving sacrificially, in a bid to please and reach a loving Father who already is pleased with us.

It's not that these activities are bad. But, it usually is time consuming and there is no time of rest to receive from God. Our works or activities do not please God; He is pleased by our believing. Beloved, it's time for you to cultivate the attitude of receiving: you've worked too hard. It's time to enter into the rest that grace brings, through believing.

Our Daddy God is able to make all grace come to you in abundance. He is "able to" but will you allow Him? Quit the struggle beloved and enter into this abundance, that is accompanied by every favor and earthly blessings. Believe His grace today and confess this, "I have Grace, in Abundance".

Prayer: Lord thank You for Your Grace in Abundance that is at work, in every area of my life. I receive all-round rest in Jesus Name.

Religion / Overwhelming Grace by charisville: 9:01am On Aug 21, 2013
At this, she bowed down with her face to the ground. She exclaimed, “Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you notice me—a foreigner?” Ruth 2:10

Charis Ville Capsule

Ruth was trying to gather some leftover barley in the field for herself and her mother in-law. She was new to the area and a foreigner in this land. Her prayer before she left the house that day was "Let me go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in whose eyes I find favor.” All she needed favor for was for leftovers and she got more than she hoped and prayed for.

Ruth didn't only have all her needs met in overflowing surplus but, she also met with her kinsmen redeemer. Beloved, the story of Ruth shows us that the divine unmerited favor of God distinguishes and also uplifts. Like Ruth you might have asked our Daddy God for sufficient grace for that situation or for your marriage, career, school or ministry. Get ready for a super-abounding overflow of grace in your life.

For everyone looking forward to finding their right partner or waiting to be found, grace will help you. The unmerited and unearned favor of our Daddy God will cause a showing-forth in your life. Beloved, believe the grace of God and know that God is able to make all good things, that you need and require, abound towards you.

Prayer: My Daddy God, thank You for Your grace that shows me forth. I trust and believe in this superabounding grace.

Religion / You Have Been Delivered Part 3 by charisville: 10:31am On Aug 17, 2013
He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves. Colosians 1:13 NET

Charis Ville Capsule

It is sometimes believed that a true believer can be possesed. This is usually based on the illustration given by Jesus; about a demon that went out of a man and after seeking rest and does not find it, it returns to "its" house and finding the house clean, gets seven stronger demons and they all come back to stay (Luke 11:24-26,Matthew 12:43-45).

Beloved, the demon referred to the place it came out from as "my house". When anyone is born again, there is a transfer of jurisdiction: the devil has no claim. Let's learn a little greek: the bible states that we've been delivered "out of" the jurisdiction of darkness. The word "out of" is the greek preposition "ek" which denotes a place of origin. The second preposition is "eis" which is translated "into". Both words used in Greek language can denote if the action has been completed.

Our Daddy God delivered you OUT OF the domain of darkness and transported you INTO the kingdom of the Son of His love. There is not middle ground, these actions have been completed, no addition needed. God has delivered you beloved; hold fast unto your new position in Christ. Don't let anyone deceive you. But this only holds true for those who have experienced the new birth(born again). If you want to experience this true deliverance say the prayer below, believing in your heart.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I've come to the end of myself. I need You in my life. I accept You today as my Lord and Saviour, forgiven me all my sins. I enthrone You as Lord over my life, now I'm born again.

He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves. Colossians 1:13 NET

Charis Ville Capsule

The battles and weapons we fight with are not physical in any way,but they are mighty, through God, to the pulling down of strongholds and casting down of imaginations and every high thing that tries to exalt itself, against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). The word "imagination" tells us where the battle lies- in our minds beloved. What is needed isn't deliverance sessions, but a renewing of your mind. This can only come with focus on the word of God i.e. Jesus.

Focusing on Jesus; His obedience and all the victory He has secured for you, is what brings all the strongholds and imaginations down. The devil tries to use these strongholds to hold one down: they are not real, but he suggests such in one's reasoning and thoughts. With time, these thoughts begin to govern your life and situation. No wonder the bible states, "through knowledge shall the just be delivered".

This deliverance is that of the mind, through the knowledge of what Jesus has done for you and being established in this knowledge. Always remember that the only way to resist the devil and his gimmicks, is to steadfastly hold unto your belief. The just shall live by right believing and the fruit that comes out of right believing, is right living.

Prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus for all the victory you've obtained for me, I stand on your finished work and am established in the knowledge of you. Amen

He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son He loves Colosians 1:13 NET

Charis Ville Capsule

Our Daddy God delivered us from the dominion of darkness and has translated us to the kingdom of His dear Son. So if you are already in this kingdom, that means you have already been delivered. First of all, this does not just mean salvation from sin alone, but you've also been delivered from every single hold that the devil might have on you.

The Young's Literal Translation of Colossians 1:13 states that we have been delivered from every authority of darkness. If God does a thing, is it perfect or does He require the work of man to perfect it? We know that everything that God does is perfect. Have you been caught in the web of going for deliverance? Let it be settled in your heart, that once you've experienced the new birth, you are delivered.

You might ask, if we are delivered does that mean that the devil has gone to sleep and is no longer attacking us? No, he is going around like a roaring lion seeking for whom to devour (1 Peter 5:cool. The antidote to being devoured is in the next verse, "whom you resist steadfast in faith" (believing). So how do you resist the devil? It's not by paying attention to him, he doesn't deserve any of your precious time. You resist him by your continuous belief in Jesus- hold on to your belief and the devil has no choice but to leave.

Romance / Don't Panic; I AM Here To Help You by charisville: 8:20am On Aug 14, 2013
That's right. Because I, your God, have a firm grip on you and I'm not letting go. I'm telling you, 'Don't panic. I'm right here to help you'. Isaiah 41:13 MSG

Charis Ville Capsule

Our Daddy God gave us this promise, through prophet Isaiah. But, before anyone decides to disqualify his/herself, the beneficiaries of this scripture needs to be made known. In verse 8 of the same chapter, God said, "the seed of Abraham, my friend". We are aware that those who are in Christ, are the seed of Abraham (through Jesus). So this passage is referring to believers.

Sometimes, do you feel that you are not holding tighthly onto God and that, you might slip away from Him? Beloved, this is our Daddy God assuring you. He said, "I am Yahweh, your Elohim, I am holding you with a firm grip". Saints, be secure in the grip of our Abba Father. But, many believers have a distorted view of God the Father: some feel Jesus loves us but God the Father seeks to punish His children. Jesus said, "if you have seen me, you have seen the Father, I and my Father are one"

Jesus is all together wonderful and beautiful, just like God the Father. He demonstrates His love by saying, "don't panic", I can sort out the bills for you, I can get you the husband or wife you wish for, I can help you with the teenage child, I'm right here to help you". As you go through the remaining part of this year, be conscious of the fact that our Daddy God is holding you fast and He will not let go of you. He is always beside you, offering to help you.

Prayer: Thank You Daddy God for You hold me firmly. I am conscious of this truth and I look to Your help.

Romance / He Is Our Peace Part 3 by charisville: 8:58am On Aug 13, 2013
For He is our peace, the one who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility. Ephesians 2:14

Charis Ville Capsule

The word peace, doesn't just mean "peace of mind" or tranquillity. It means a whole lot more. The Hebrew equivalent of peace is Shalom. Jesus told His disciples before His death, "My peace I leave you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives" John 14:27. Jesus would have been speaking in Hebrew to His disciples and would have used the word "Shalom". Thayer, the Hebrew scholar defined Shalom as completeness, welfare, contentment, peace, health and prosperity.

Saying shalom to a person means that you wish them all the above and even more. Our focal scripture tells us that Jesus is our Shalom. This means, if you are looking for prosperity, He is your prosperity. For the single lady or man, Jesus is your completeness. You do not need anyone else to be complete. Rather, you'll be a plus to anyone that wants to marry you.

And like Jesus pointed out, "let not your heart be troubled". When all the tempest of life seems to overwhelm you, have the confident expectation of good. Not because you can on your own do anything, but because you have Jesus on your side. He spoke peace to the tides and waves and they were still; He is also ready and willing to arise over every troubled waters of your life. All you have to be conscious of at all times is this; Jesus is my peace.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for your peace in my life. I experience all the benefits of your Shalom in Jesus Name.

For He is our peace, the one who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility. Ephesians 2:14

Charis Ville Capsule

Ephesians chapter 2 verse 13 spoke of Jesus bringing us near to Him, by His blood. The blood symbolises the cross and His finished work; all that He did for us: His propitiatory punishment, subsequent death and resurrection. All these had taken place, before it was mentioned that He is our peace. Before you can fully recognise Jesus as your peace and fully enjoy the attached benefits, you have to be aware that Jesus is your substitute and He paid the price on your behalf.

If your mind is fixed on how to improve your moral character and behaviour in a bid to please God, the more you deny yourself of the benefit of experiencing this peace. God swore that, He will never be angry with you and His kindess will never leave you, that His covenant of peace will not be moved (Isaiah 54:9-10). This promise comes after Isaiah chapter 53, which spoke of the death Jesus was going to face. So, what precedes the peace that we have, is Jesus' sacrifice.

Be assured that Jesus has paid the price for all that you need; He has become your peace. He left no stone unturned, for He declared while hanging on the. tree, "it is finished". That punishment, the payment for your peace, was put upon Him. The devil tries at every point to get your heart to be worried, but if you can still your heart, by fixing your attention on Jesus and what He did, your heart will feel and experience the supernatural peace of our Saviour Christ Jesus.

For He is our peace, the one who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility. Ephesians 2:14

Charis Ville Capsule

Our hearts are often filled with worries and anxiety; there is always something to be worried about. If it's not about the future, it's what we are yet to complete or what to eat, wear, drive etc. The devil tries to keep our minds a-wandering, in the negative direction. He still uses the same trick he played on Eve, "has God said, you should not eat of any tree in the garden?". That was a suggestive question, intended to cause Eve to think of how unfair God might be or wonder if His words were untrue- both assumptions were totally wrong.

Eve didn't realise that she was already like God, as man was already made in the image of God. They didn't need to eat of that tree, to be like God. And lack of information of who they really were, might have caused them to err. Once I remember looking for a towel; I searched every nook and cranny of my abode but all along, it was hanging round my shoulders. After searching for a while, I asked for my cousin's help. She just pointed to my shoulders and told me to look; I felt so embarrassed.

The same goes for believers today; they go around searching for peace, when He is already with them. But just like my cousin did, I'd like to point out to you, your peace has been with you all along: He has been inside you. Jesus is your peace (Hebrew: Shalom). Keep your eyes on Him. The more of Him you see, the more of peace you will experience.

Prayer: Jesus, I lay all my anxieties and worries on You. I look to You and receive that peace which passes all understanding. Amen.

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

Charis Ville Capsule

Believers usually begin the new birth experience joyfully and full of faith. But along the way, due to pressures and situations, they begin to doubt and ask "is God really with me?". It's at these times that the enemy reminds them of past sins, insinuating that God hadn't forgiven them and thus, left them all alone. The battles we fight saints, are not the physical kind, they are not necessarily demonic battles; but they are battles of the mind i.e. thoughts that try to exalt themselves, above the knowledge of God.

Christ in us, the Hope of Glory and this Hope cannot disappoint (Romans 5:5). Whenever you have these thoughts coming through your mind, you have to exalt the knowledge of God; be conscious of God's work in you. Be conscious that you are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works. Remind yourself that our daddy God that started the good work, is able to flourish it in you.

Look away from yourself beloved, focus the eyes of your heart on Jesus. He is the Rock of your life, that comforts and keeps you, the rock of your salvation. God commanded Moses to speak to the rock but, due to pressure and anger, Moses struck the rock. That rock was a type and shadow of our Lord Jesus. He is our Rock and Supply; speak beloved, speak to your Rock.

Prayer: My Saviour Jesus, thank You for being my great provider. I speak blessings and peace over my life, academics, career, business, ministry and family, in Jesus Name.

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Phillipians 1:6

Charis Ville Capsule

Beloved, the gospel of grace makes us confident in our daddy God; that He will do what He has promised. Many times, whenever this verse is read, the term "good work" is deemed to mean God's blessings or other good things that proceed from our daddy God. Yes, all good and perfect gifts come from our Abba Father and no good thing will He withhold from us, His beloved kids.

But Paul was speaking about something else, "a good work". Our Lord Jesus was asked by His disciples, "what shall we do, that we might work the works of God?" This was the Master's reply: "This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom He sent" (John 6:28-29). Beloved God is more interested in your believing; the key to having all things the kingdom of our daddy God has to offer, is by believing. And who you believe, will determine how you live and what you enjoy in life.

Grace is not just the unmerited and undeserved favour of God or divine influence on the heart; it's a person. Grace is Jesus. The works of our daddy God is that you believe more on Grace; believing His grace makes your life flourish beautifully. Do you want to do the works of God? Believe Grace.

Romance / Forget Not All His Benefits Part 6 by charisville: 10:06am On Aug 08, 2013
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits Psalm 103:2 NKJV

Charis Ville Capsule

For us to fully enjoy all His benefits, we need to be aware of all He has done and continuously keep such in our consciousness, by visualizing His goodness to us. We need. to remember and meditate on His lovingkindness. Your experiences are always tied to what you behold; if you continually behold all that the devil seems to be doing, your experience will always tend to be negative, even though Jesus has paid the necessary price on your behalf.

There was a couple who had just gotten married. The wife always loved going through international magazines and looking at the lovely photos of stars. She was pregnant at a point and she had been meditating on these pictures. When she put to bed, she gave birth to a child that looked like one of the stars in the magazine. People of the world. have used this biblical principle, times without number and they are getting astounding results. But many believers keep beholding negative things.

Do you wonder why the Bible states that we keep looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of faith? In our "faith walk", we should constantly keep our eyes on Jesus. The more we visualize Jesus and His glory, the more we are transformed from one level of glory to another. Will you keep your eyes on Jesus continually, from today? As you do this, all those things that had gone wrong in your life, marriage, job, school, relationships would work together , for your good.

Prayer: I behold Jesus' lovingkindness to me. My life is transformed from one level of glory to another. Amen

Bless the Lord, O my soul. And forget not all His benefits Psalm 103:2 NKJV

Charis Ville Capsule

For those who are afraid of sudden judgment or destruction, our Daddy God is able to deliver anyone from them. A believer has no business being afraid of what could happen to them in the future; because one of the benefits we have to be conscious of, is that God delivers us from all harm, the grave and corruption. When the devil roars like a lion, instead of remembering what God has done and is doing, we begin to panic.

You have to fix your mind on what God is doing, not what the devil seems to be concocting. Don't spend your time thinking of your situation; spend time meditating on who you are in Christ. Paul said in Galatians 2:20 KJV, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me".

You'll notice that Paul understood who he was and what he possessed in Christ. He knew that he didn't require any other faith to live by, but "by the faith of Jesus". Are you worried about somethings or maybe a pastor might have told you, "you are under a generational curse"? Dearly beloved, when you became begotten of God, your lineage changed. Your past is now new and glorious and your history can be traced to the cross. Remember His benefit; He has redeemed you from all curse.

Bless the Lord, O my soul. And forget not all His benefits. Psalms 103:2 NKJV

Charis Ville Capsule

Psalms 103 verse 4, "Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies". This benefit is like a two sided coin: the Lord delivers us from destruction on one side and then, He crowns (compasses) us with lovingkindness and compassion. The word lovingkindness is the Hebrew word "chezed", which was difficult to translate. Two english words had to be put together, to help bring out the meaning of this particular word: loving and kindness. This word is also translated grace; it speaks of love, strength and steadfastness.

Our Daddy God compasses you with His strength, faithfulness and love. We know that in the new covenant, all these are fully unmerited and undeserved. The devil tries to always paint a picture, that we are not deserving enough to receive the justification or the goodness of God. Many times, you might say to yourself, "but I've fasted, prayed and even lived holy, but why am I not getting the desired results? I deserve better". Beloved, you just diagnosed the problem. God does not deal with us based on what we deserve, He deals with us based on what Jesus did. Because, what we really deserve is death, punishment, sorrow, guilt and pain, even in our self righteous states.

But thanks be to God who has crowned us with lovingkindness: i.e His grace (unmerited favour). One good thing about His empowering grace is; it does not give us the license to sin, but the ability to live for Jesus. Beloved, see the Lord crowning you with His grace today, fix your eyes on this grace and with time your life will be changed.

What Jesus did, wasn't scheduled to last for a short while and who we are in Christ is not guaranteed by us. If forgiveness of sins rested on our abilities, Jesus' death would have been in vain. I remember when I was meant to stand as a guarantor for someone; I was advised against it and told the full import of my proposed action. It means that if that person ever falls short of that agreement, I was going to be held liable. Thus, I was going to be "the backbone" of that particular transaction.

The dictionary defines a guarantor as "a person that makes or gives a promise, assurance or pledge typically relating to quality, durability or performance" and in Hebrews 7:22; "Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant". This covenant is the new testament, where all our sins are forgiven: past, present and future. So, being forgiven doesn't rest on man, but on our Lord Jesus. Once you believe and are born again, you are guaranteed.

Whenever this truth is mentioned, some individuals oppose its dissemination. They feel that this will lead believers to live licentuously, but this is not true. When you know how much you've been forgiven, you'll love much. The more you know that you are forgiven of all your sins and that you are the righteousness of God, not by your doings, but because of what Jesus did, your heart is filled with hope and love and you'll want to live in total freedom, for Christ. And guess what will happen when your conscience is cleared of sin? You will walk more in divine health, free from anxiety, stress or condemnation.

Prayer: My heart is full of hope, because You, Jesus are my Guarantor. I am at peace.

Romance / Forget Not All His Benefits Part 2 by charisville: 3:01pm On Aug 04, 2013
Bless the Lord, O my soul. And forget not all His benefits Psalm 103:2 NKJV

Charis Ville Capsule

The first benefit outlined in our focal scripture is that the Lord forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. Many believers think that when they are sick, they are being punished for their sins or disobedience to God. They meditate on books like Deuteronomy 28, where it states that if you don't obey the statutes of the Lord, you will be cursed and inflicted with diseases.

Beloved, many new testament believers live life with the old testament mentality. They handle the new life, with old title deeds. Jesus' finished work purchased for us, a new title deed and we need to know all that we are entitled to.

Firstly, we are forgiven of all our sins and have the full assurance that all our sins; past, present and future, are forgiven. And we were already healed from all diseases. Isaiah 53:5, "He (Jesus) was wounded for our sins, he was bruised for our iniquities: the punishment of our peace was on him; and by His stripes we are healed". So you have to realise that your sins were not swept under the carpet or just pardoned, without anyone bearing the punishment.

This is the good news; Jesus bore all your sins, guilt and punishment on Himself, thus granting you the benefit of walking confidently in divine health. One of the primary causes of diseases is guilt and condemnation. When you are aware that Jesus has taken them away, it gives you the ability to live a stress-free life, walking in God's divine health. Forget not the benefit of forgiveness (of all your sins) and the healing of all your illnesses.
*To be continued*

Prayer: I remember Your grace Father. Thank You for the forgiveness You gave to me. Now I move stress free. In Jesus' name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits Psalm 103:2 NKJV

Charis Ville Capsule

Many times, when life's issues come up against us, we tend to forget all the Lord has done and is doing in our lives. This is because our society is reward-oriented. When a close friend wrongs us, it tends to cancel out all the good that the person has ever done. For someone to continuously be in our good books, they have to be good to us at all times, without any major fault.

But our God is not like that; He has chosen to never remember nor put into account any of our wrong deeds(Hebrews 8:12). He didn't just do it out of mercy, but in justice because of what our high priest Jesus, did on our behalf. Our Daddy God is always working all things for our good. That things seem not to be going according to the way we planned, doesn't mean that our Daddy God has left us. He promised never to leave us nor forsake us(Hebrews 13:5).

Whenever we feel this way, it's time to remember all the Lord's benefits: how He saved and preserved us from destruction. If it was not for the Lord's doing, you wouldn't have been where you are today, alive and still breathing. We are not only to remember the benefits of our Daddy God when things seems to go south, but also when all is well. So we ought to remember all His benefits, goodness and unmerited favour on our lives. And as you remember them, you bless and give Him thanks.

Religion / Grace Our Empowering Trainer Part 4 by charisville: 8:33am On Aug 01, 2013
It trains us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age Titus 2:12 NET

Charis Ville Capsule

This series has elaborated on how that the grace of God empowers and trains us. Maybe you've not personally experienced what is been spoken about and you wish to have that personal grace experience. You might be holding on to your self effort and ability. The truth is that when you work, grace does not work. It's only grace when you cease from your work. Laziness is not encouraged but self generated work, void of God's rest is absolutely discouraged.

So, does the emphasis lie on you or on grace? Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15:10, said; "But by the grace of God, I am what I am and His grace to me has not been in vain. In fact, I worked harder than all of them – yet not I, but the grace of God with me". When you allow the grace of God work through you, the effect you get is effortless labour and greater productivity.

When you acknowledge the grace of God in your life, you become unconsciously directed and guided by grace. Proverbs 3:6; "In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path". Grace is Jesus; the more you recognise Jesus in your life, the more your life begins to move from one level of glory to another. Will you trust the grace of God today? Will you lay your emphasis on grace today? Watch how grace takes a hold of all those seemingly bad situations and turn it all for your good.
*To be continued*

Prayer: I let go of all self activity, I entrust myself to the workings of Grace. I receive greater productivity and effortless labour, through grace. Amen.

Welcome to August, our month of great grace for a new beginning.

In life, it is difficult to find someone who would train you and then, provide you with the ability to use the training effectively. The law only had the ability to point out our wrong deeds, but it never empowered us to do the right thing. Thus, our members became exceedingly sinful. But thank God for Jesus; "though the law came by Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus" (John 1:17). Grace (unmerited favour) didn't just only come to train us to live unto God or just reveal the truth to us; it came to empower us to live out the Truth.

A closer look at the word "train" in our text; it's the greek word "paideuo", from which the english word "paediatrics" is derived. It means, "to train children and also to disciple". The grace of God that brought us salvation didn't just leave us on our own to figure it out. The issue with a lot of believers is this; they so easily receive the salvation that came with grace. But they don't allow this same grace teach them how to live the new life.

This has led to a lot of struggles. Many are in a hurry to start the race, without the " G" factor in the race i.e. "Grace". Beloved, it's time to allow the grace of God train and empower you for the race set before you. Beloved, this isn't an aimless kind; for we run from the point of victory, because Jesus has already overcome for us. Only grace can help us to live out this secured victory.

Religion / Trusting In God Guarantees Security Part 4 by charisville: 2:19pm On Jul 28, 2013
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Charis Ville Capsule

To trust in the Lord is also to be secure in Him. This means that you are sure that He is unfailing and unchanging, and this is not false security. But when you trust in your own ability or understanding, you are sure to fall short, one way or the other. Psalm 37:3 AMP, " Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed."

When you trust and lean on our Daddy God, not only will you be able to do good, but you'll feed out of His faithfulness. Do you feel like your faith is down and there isn't enough belief in your heart? Like the man that spoke to Jesus about his sick son, he said "Lord I believe, please help my unbelief"; is that your prayer today? It's time for you to feed out of God's faith and His ability.
Our Father seeks those who will worship and serve Him in spirit and in truth, not those who try to fix their trust on things that are seen and are temporal. Whatever your situation might be beloved, make up your mind to go through this week and the rest of the year, trusting in God. Even when all hell seems to be breaking loose, just maintain this trust and believe in your heart. Like the word promises, you'll be feeding out of the graciousness and faithfulness of our Daddy God.

Prayer: Thank You Daddy God for Your promises over my life. I trust you my Abba, with all my heart because I stand secure in You.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Charis Ville Capsule

Adam and Eve are classic examples of people who lost the security that they had in God. Long before anyone becomes unfaithful or disobeys, there must be trust issues. In Romans 5:19, "through one man's disobedience, all were made sinners". The word translated "disobedience" is the greek word "parakoe" meaning "the mind and will, both wavering at what is heard" or "to mishear". So the precursor to the actual disobedience is distrust.

If they had trusted what God had told them about the tree of knowledge of good and evil being unfit for them, they would have been more secure and have been able to tell off the serpent. The consequences of their distrust caused the fall of all mankind. What has the Lord promised you? He has promised to never leave nor forsake you and all things work together for your good.

Will you trust Him? All His promises are yes and in Christ they are Amen. Trust the Lord today and lean not on your own understanding i.e., don't trust in yourself or someone else, to help fulfil what the Lord has already promised you. The good shepherd has promised to lead you. Trust and believe Him with all your heart and mind. Be persuaded like Abraham, that He that promised He will also be able to perform what He promised.

Prayer: My Daddy God, I hold onto your promises in believe, because I know that you are working out all things for my good.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Charis Ville Capsule

Trusting God shouldn't be done with a mental accent but with the heart. Some people might say, "I trust God". But once they make any mistake, they begin to blame themselves. To be disappointed in yourself or in any other person, is to have placed your trust in that person or yourself. When you trust God with all your heart, even if things do not go the way you planned, your trust still remains fixed, because you know that He is limitless.

He promised that He will never leave nor forsake you and He'll make everything work together for your good. Psalm 1:3 states "if he does anything it shall prosper". This means God will prosper even your mistakes, He'll take it and turn it all together for your good. Beloved, you have to be secure in the love that God has for you.

I'm very sure you've heard these words before, "God has unconditional love for you". But those who said this, turn around and tell you about God punishing you, whenever you fall or make a mistake. This is not consistent with God's word to the new covenant believer. James 1:17 states, "every good and perfect gift comes from God" and no good thing will He withhold from you. Rest in the loving arms of your Father. Don't allow people tell you tall tales about your Father; He loves you with an everlasting love.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Charis Ville Capsule

In every relationship, trust is key to enjoying it maximally. When you don't trust your partner, it builds insecurity and if this isn't checked, it might lead to unfaithful acts. This has damaged many marriages and its effects are widespread in our society today. The opposite is the case; when there's trust, couples are inspired to be faithful. Children born out of these homes grow up strong, nurtured in love.

This also applies to our relationship with our Daddy God; when we trust in Him, it guarantees our security. Another synonym for trust is believe; when you believe in the love that God has for you, it produces the right results in you. When the bible stated that we have been called into liberty, it simply means we are in a secure relationship with our Daddy God. Love is not real, if you are not free to make your own choices.

1 John 4:16 NET ; "And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has in us." Coming to realise, being conscious of and believing in God's love for you, makes the difference. When the devil tries to paint a picture of how unloved you are, let the consciousness of God's love for you fill your heart. This love is able to guide you, every step of the way.

And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit.2 Corinthians 3:18 NET

Charis Ville Capsule

The "veil" in today's key scripture, is anything that deflects the glorious light of grace, that would have effected a change in an individual's life. Maybe you've tried all you could to reach out to God, by modifying your character so that He will be pleased with you. Or you've not been able to experience the power of God's saving grace. You can turn away from a lifetime struggle with secret sins, unto God's grace.

In 2 Corinthians 3:16, Paul gives us an explanation as to how the veil is removed: by turning to the Lord. Just like Moses, who had to remove his veil, whenever he was going into God's presence (Exodus 34:34). Turning to the Lord causes the veil to fall off our faces.

Turn to the Lord today; away from your self confidence and effort. Where the Spirit of Grace is, there is freedom to live above sin, to have your addictions removed. Beloved, stop trying to please Him: He is already pleased with you, He loves you. As you turn from your self effort, and behold Jesus, your life will be transformed from one level of glory to another.

Prayer: I turn to You My Lord, away from the veil of my self effort, to the power of Your Grace. Amen.

And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed 2 Corinthians 3:18 NET

Charis Ville Capsule

The preceeding devotionals on this topic, laid emphasis on the veil covering the eyes of those who practice and are under the law. It's important that this concept is clearly understood, otherwise this could prevent believers from experiencing divine transformation. In the church today, a lot of performance based Christianity is seen; people who have an outward behavioural modification, but no real transformation from God's grace working in them, as they behold Jesus.

Many try to gain their right standing with God, through the works of the law. But the righteousness of God can only be gotten through faith. Abraham believed God and it was imputed to him as righteousness. It is by faith alone, not by trying to obey the rules and 10 commandments that came with the law. When a believer continually tries to get right with God through rule keeping, it breeds guilt, condemnation and ultimately depression. The law always produces wrath, a sense of punishment and judgment (Romans 4:15).

The Law on its own is not bad, but when it is introduced into the life of a believer, it stirs up sin (Romans 7:7). Wonder why you struggle so much with sin? And out of frustration, you conclude that "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak"(Matthew 26:41). But there is a better way, beloved; where sin no longer has dominion over you, and this is in the new covenant(Romans 6:14). Grace is the antidote to sin; come under the grace of God through believing and have a conscience that is at peace with Him (Romans 5:1).

When you behold the Lord's glory, you are transformed from one level of glory to another. But those with veiled faces cannot behold the glory, and from yesterday's capsule, the meaning of a veiled face was established. These individuals still live to seek for ways to please God and try to keep some set of rules, so that God will see them and favour them. Just like those in the old covenant; trying to keep the 10 commandments and all the laws, so God could bless them.

But in the new covenant, you don't have to keep the 10 commandments to receive God's blessings. So, what pleases God today? Our "believing"! (Hebrews 11:6). When you believe in what God says about you, that He will fufil His words, that pleases God. Our Daddy God wants a relationship with us, not religion. Religion teaches us that we must try all we can, to get close to God. But the true gospel of grace teaches that, you don't need to do anything to qualify for God's blessings, only believe.

When you became born again, our Daddy God has already blessed you with all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3). But you might ask; if I'm really blessed, why are things seemingly going wrong? The issue is not what is being wrongly done but what is being believed. When you believe and focus on the Lord's glory, the result is living from one level of glory to another.

And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 NET

Charis Ville Capsule

When this scripture is read in the context of the ongoing conversation, it'll be noticed that Paul was talking about a new way and an old way. The old way or the law was called the ministry of death (2 Corinthians 3:7), and it also specified that this ministry of death was engraved and written on stone. And that what was written on the tablets of stone, given to Moses, was the Law i.e. the 10 commandments. You might ask, "are the 10 commandments the ministry of death?" Well beloved, the Holy Spirit through the scriptures is saying so.

This legalistic ministry (the ministry of the law) is the ministry of condemnation (2 Corinthians 3:9). This ministry of death and condemnation was brought in, so that man could know that there was no way he could be saved, through keeping the laws and commandments. We are made right with God, and declared righteous, not by our ability to keep the law, but through the gracious gift of grace through faith. This ministry of the old covenant of commandments, is the veil that covers the eyes of those who try to please God by keeping sets of rules.

Are we saying that it's wrong to live a moral life? No. The principle of the new covenant of grace is, you become who you behold, through believing. When you believe in Jesus, the fruit of moral living begins to reflect in you. When the veil of the law and commandments is removed from people's faces, they can see the glory of our Lord Jesus and be transformed.

We've tried taking pictures at one time or the other: focus on the object you desire to capture with camera lens and... snap! But what happens if you are distracted at the point while pressing the capture button or someone hit your hands? A blurry image is produced and this picture might be so poor, you have to delete such.

This is analogous to what happens to believers. We've been predestined by God to conform to the image of Christ Jesus. But, that image can be distorted by distractions, challenges, limitations, addictions etc. For the image of Christ to be fully formed in you and to experience all that God has made you to be, focus on Jesus. When the lens of a believer (the eyes of his/her spirit) is not properly focused on Jesus, the result is a blurry image.

It might be our human ability or self effort that interrupts the formation of the image of Christ in us. This can only be done through the power of grace. Are you Struggling? Keep your eyes on Jesus; He's your identity. Trying to know who you are, beloved? Focus the eyes of your heart on Jesus, He is your victory.

He who has the bride is the bridegroom John 3:29 AMP

Charis Ville Capsule

Have you noticed some sort of weakness in your life? Either in your walk with God or there might be an addiction plaguing you? You have to continually see, how much Jesus loves and is willing to strengthen you. The joy of the Lord is your strength and not only are we Jesus' bride, but we are also His joy: that joy set before Him, that inspired and encouraged Him to go through the death on the cross.

So this is how it works: the more you believe that you are Jesus' joy and love, the more this consciousness causes His strength to work through you. Don't focus on your weaknesses, but rather focus on Jesus, whose strength is made perfect in your weakness. Nowadays, there is so much focus on self occupation; self improvement, self motivational classes. These are not bad in themselves, but so much time is spent majoring on the minor and vice versa.

Your true identity and self can only be found in Jesus; if you are a new creature. You can only be transformed to become who God has made you to be, by beholding Jesus through His word. Who are you beholding? It's too risky to let your gaze wander away from Jesus. He is the only true source of hope, joy and love, in a world filled of hopelessness and sadness. Keep your eyes on your bridegroom, who is madly in love with you.

Prayer: l keep my eyes on You, Jesus. I behold Your hope, love and joy.
