Why do you want to change? Is the other option closely related to chemical?

Not really close. Thinking of just increasing my chances of nominations because chemical engineering although nominated by few states but haven't seen anyone recently with an ITA

Not all of them. Do you mean I should submit EOIs even if my occupation is not nominated in those states?

@Bnimz @Alphadoor@belong, I need your assistance, already have a positive assessment as a chemical Engineer so thinking of doing another assessment for other professional engineer nec or Civil engineering drafperson or petroleum. Please I need your guidance

Have you visited the migration website of each state to submit expression of interest?

Other than that, if you don't have 20 points from English, try to redo it to go above 65 points and submit for 189 too.

Not all of them. Do you mean I should submit EOIs even if my occupation is not nominated in those states?

Visa application fee is paid when you receive invitation to apply at the point of submission.

Your initial concern should be getting assessment and Englidh test out of the way.

@belong, assessment and English done and having 70 points for 491 and 60 point for 190. Occupation is chemical engineer and EOIs already submitted for 491 visa for WA,SA and VIC. Any advise ?

Hello, Please has anyone encountered this error while trying to create an account for EA?

I can't even find where to accept the collection Notice

I was trying to help but I didn't understand the collection notice error.
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by chebyshev(m): 12:22am On Jun 14, 2022
I don't think chemical engineer is open for offshore applicants. WA Austraila too is not open for offshore only for WA graduate I think. But he can submit unsolicited EOIs in these states and hope for the best

Mcslize:

You have no problem then if your 5yrs work experience is verifiable.

Just take your PTE test and aim superior English scores. Are you single or married? Go for 491 to boost your points.

Western Australia and New South Wales only require 3yrs experience to apply for their 491.

Use this to calculate your points: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/points-calculator

Carefully answer all the questions to get your projected point scores.

If you have issues with tax, perhaps EA is not your best option then as you must have either pension or tax for ALL the years being claimed.
Look out for other occupations that is not assessed by EA.
@tunlex01, I have a positive assessment as a professional chemical engineer with EA in the past but the assessment has now expired. I didn't claim any experience then and I am about to renew my assessment with the option of adding relevant skilled employment. For some reasons, I don't intend to claim the work experience with EA but wish to claim it with DHA. What do you advise please?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Would You Answer This Interview Question by chebyshev(m): 3:57pm On Apr 13, 2022
I totally agree with this. I used this strategy to secure a job ahead of others in the past. After scaling through the first, second and third stage, we were given some drawings to be reproduced in AutoCAD under a very short time. The last time I used AutoCAD was seven years ago before that day, so I have forgotten some autoCAD commands. So what I did was that I attempted all the drawings to about 50 to 60% completion. If you give me additional 10 hours I can't finish the drawings as at then because I have forgotten some important commands to complete the whole drawings. So I fooled the assessors by attempting all of them at a very short time and I finally got the job.

GloriousGbola:
Do you deliver the project on time or do you deliver the project well done?

Very loaded question, especially if the project is supposed to generate income for the business.

For management, on time is always better than well done. I learned that the hard and bitter way. You tell management the truth - that this project cannot be feasibly delivered in this timeline, they will push you out and get someone who will say it can. It then becomes a game of managing expectations.

Ironically I have read that the iPhone was not ready when Steve jobs presented it. A lot of smoke and mirrors goes into project commissioning ceremonies because the owners have set a date in stone for showtime

I guess you have to identify the critical parts of the job that MUST BE Ready, and focus on those while putting off non critical parts to later.

Also for the end user and management you must focus on finishing / UI. A well presented incomplete project can fool the people who need to be fooled

Scores isn’t the issue here sir / mam, they are still in the screening out process trust me . Is there anyone who has received the mail with high score and a 2-1?? That should be what we should looking at before we can conclude. Believe me they will drop a lot of ppl through this new method, mind us that they have deadline to which they have to provide those documents. My own is what happens next ?

Hello, a civil engineer, Can I?

What arears exactly do you need help? To get started, I will advice you download the MSA booklet on EA website and read it thoroughly. You should also try to get samples of Career episodes to familiarize yourself with the format. Just check through this thread or the previous ones. If after all these, you think you still have issues, then you can reach out to me. But it will be better if someone who has assessed as a Civil Engineer can guide you properly. I am more comfortable guiding people on how to prepare CDRs for Chemical or Petroleum Engineers

DEAR ALL,

A lot of users on this thread are giving out exactly the same PQ for free. They are not collecting =N=1 for it.

Disregard this person in particular. He wants to sell the same material people are giving for free.

Altruism is key to a better Nigeria we all yearn for. LEARN TO BE SELFLESS AND HELP ONE ANOTHER.

If you want the material send me a PM and I will email it to you for free, just the same way someone here gave me for free.

NO ONE HERE should patronise all these 'Past Questions for N2000 people'

I WILL GIVE YOU FOR FREE. PM me

Oya oooo...you people should gather round. It's my turn to testify. I've been reading people's testimony since part 3, now it's my turn grin

God has finally freed me from the shackles of IELTS (shudders at the mention of that test) after 3 attempts.

As a pharmacist, I've written extremely difficult exams
in pharmacy school and passed them all. Never have i imagined I'll be humbled by an examination in my lifetime.

Actually started preparation very early, around june, cause i wanted to "blast the test in one sitting ". Started with listening and was doing excellently in all my practices. I however concentrated more on writing, since almost all the 6.5 I've been seeing on this thread has always been on writing. Registered for November 10th with MOD after almost 5 months of practice, so you understand how high my confidence was. Well.....

1st attempt: LRSW 7,6.5,7.5,7.5.

The 7 in Listening was understandable cos somehow, mysteriously, i just panicked in the middle of the listening test and couldn't follow the conversation. There was this sudden urge to get all the answers right that made me panicked.

Reading, however, was a shock. shocked i could have sworn I'll get a 9 in it. If not for the listening score, i would have reqiested for a remark.

Surprisingly, writing turned out better than i had expected.

Well, i shook that one off and registered for the next one, this time with intense focus on listening.

2nd attempt, MOD, LRSW 7.5, 9, 8, 7.

this time i was completely devastated cos i was very sure of, at least, an 8 in the listening. I followed every part of the conversation and was totally calm throughout the test. This one so angered me that i applied for a remark. Still awaiting the outcome though. My 46k must return to me cheesy

I gathered all my life's savings and registered for the 3rd time. It was hell surviving without a single penny. By this time i was so used to the listening tests in the Cambridge series that i could predict the answers. So i delved into youtube and Practised all the tests i could download.
Went for the exam and....

3rd attempt: MOD, 19/1/19 LRSW 9,7.5,7.5,7.

Funny enough, during the test, the same panic that came over me in the first attempt came again, but this time, i heard the answers, just that i wasn't following the conversation the way i should, so i wasn't sure of about 7 answers. After the test i gave up, & started thinking of how I'll raise the money for the next attempt.

Later in the evening, i decided to visit the IELTS chat room on telegram where the answers are usually discussed after a test. Infact i almost had a heart attack when over 6 answers i wrote did not match what majority were sharing. To make matters worse, the majority were unanimous about the answers.
Well, since i got a 9 in my listening, i guess i was the only one that got the correct answers among the bunch then. cheesy

ECA: was completed since December with PEBC. Thanks to baba Salford1 who came to my rescue at the dying minute. God bless you sir.
Current CRS score sits at 450.

POF: Absolutely no hope for this one yet. Just going blindingly on. But I'll rather get that ITA then decline it for lack of funds than sit idly by while this rare opportunity passes by. At least, in years to come, when my children ask why i didnt migrate when everyone was doing so, I'll show them my ITA as proof that i did tried my best to give them a better life.

Thanks to @Bellniki and @Reemefolaks for their wonderful support especially at those times when it mattered most.

I think I am now a banafide member of this thread cheesy and will be open to any questions about the process, especially for Pharmacists.
I hope to do a detailed breakdown of the ECA steps with PEBC too so others can learn.

And as for those of you who think this testimony is trivial, i used to think like you: "is it not just IELTS?". well, here we are after 3 humiliating attempts.
may you never experience this nightmare of multiple IELTS attempt. grin

I know many are still battling with the test, don't give up please. Keep pushing, and the next one will be definitely yours. Last last, it will end in praise for all of us.

Please how do I join the telegram group
