Philosopher1979:
BEST FORMATION TO EXPLORE OUR ATTACKING OPTIONS

Our strenght lies in attack.
I think we can play with 3 strikers at the same time.
Osimhen and Awoniyi as left and right forwards and a striker like Moffi in the middle.
The three of them can even interchange positions because of their mobility.
This way, we will confuse our opponents.
Our strikers can play as wide forwards. Wide forwards are semi-wingers who can do as they like.
Also, Sadiq Umar can play as a wide forward and supporting strker at the same time.
I mean play Sadiq umar behind osimhen and only one winger. Let him roam.
These ideas are in my mind.
The fluidity of our strikers should be exploited.
I think France plays like this sometimes.
We can use wide forwards and a striker who can be mobile.

Where we go come keep chukwueze, Onyekuru them?. Make them go dey fry beans grin grin grin

English fans might know how to hype their players but most of them still know the truth

How many black players does the English fans really rate if I may ask

So now, let's hear the truth from your mouth. Who is better Tammy or Osimhen (assuming that Tammy is also a Nigerian international)

Lies

Tammy is not too rated in England let Alone a 3 lion thread

Go and search for any 3 lion thread and you can count how many times Tammy name will be called there

I am not saying you should compare Tammy with another English Striker. My post should not be taken literally. What I am saying is that no way will English fans and Media rate Osimhen more than their own. Take it or leave it, ur choice.

Even if Tammy scores 50 seria A goals he won’t win the debate as far as this thread is concerned

The same will also applies in a 3 lions thread if it was Osimhen that score the 50 goals bro.

Lol. I am a Doctor. In one of the FMC where I work, even ordinary normal saline (the most common drip u can ever think of) is like gold. We had to borrow from ICU (imagine a Doctor borrowing drip upandan for a critical case when he should be racking his brain for correct diagnosis and treatment)when we had a case of Snake bite in the accident and emergency over night.
You now want me not to run from Coronavirus. Have you seen the military going to war without guns?. I can't come and die for nothing biko.

With Gabriel Jesus back, Iheanacho didn't make match day squad again. The most annoying thing this days is dat if u read man city team news nd analysis this days, Analyst seems to av forgotten that Iheanacho is a member of d team.
Pep Guardiola, abeg if Iheanacho isn't passing ur "drills", kindly sell him to a team where he can play regularly.
No offence taken pls

I love that pitch at the background sha. If an NNL game can have such quality pitch then i give a big ups to the LMC.

Point of Correction. The LMC is only in charge of NPFL nd not NNL

Nigeria vs Senegal: Ahmed Musa steps down as assistant captain of Super Eagles

Leicester City winger, Ahmed Musa, has stepped down as assistant captain of the Super Eagles team.

Musa informed coach Gernot Rohr of his decision, just before the kick off of their friendly match against Senegal, at The Hive Stadium in London.

This development was confirmed by BBC reporter, Oluwashina Okeleji via his Twitter account.

He wrote: “Breaking: Leicester City winger Ahmed Musa has stepped down as assistant captain of #Nigeria ahead of tonight’s friendly against #Senegal.”

Musa was appointed as assistant captain to John Obi Mikel exactly one year ago.

The 24-year-old who had replaced Vincent Enyeama as skipper until then, handed over to Mikel Obi.

“I want to announce now that from today, John Obi Mikel is our new captain,” Musa said at the Eagles’ press conference, ahead of Friday’s AFCON 2017 qualifier against Egypt in March 2016.

He started the friendly against Senegal alongside Kelechi Iheanacho and Simon Moses in attack.

I don't like this damning verdict. So because Gambo Mohamed, Obaje and Salami failed trials in your opinion, Stephen Odeh shouldn't get a look in.
This is a bad way to judge two variables that are not the same. If that be the case, we might as well dissolve the Nigerian league.

This is exactly the kind of mentality that stagnated oue football in the mid 2000's. The then national team managers preferred inviting every Tom Dck and Harry playing football in Europe to the detriment of some homebased players who could have brought more to the table.
I can't get my head round a player like AyodeleMakinwa getting invites while obviously better talented strikers like Victor Ezeji and Kelechi Osunwa were ignored. These two guys are 10X better than Makinwa in my opinion.
An inform and youthful Okey Odita was neglected while Abbey George who played non league football was picked. How about Onyekachi Okonkwo? Guys like Ifeanyi Ekwueme, Ikpe Ekong, Seyi Olofinjana and the rest of them who served up dross were chosen ahead of him. Not because they were better but because they were playing in Europe.

Talents should be assessed based on ability not their base. I stand down.

I'm not really sure of the Onyekachi Okonkwo u are referring to but if it was the one that played for Enyimba b4 lacing his boots for Orlando Pirates of South Africa, then I want to inform u that he played for Nigeria btw 2006 - 2008 raking in 20 appearances in the process. Well, it appears that his tym with the Super Eagles was so uneventful that you didn't know he ever put on the Green jersey of our dear country. Mutiu Adegoke also got his chance if my memory serves me right though not lucky sha with just 3 apps.
For me, I support what Gernot Rohr nd Yusuf are doing as long as Eagles are doing well. Though a fan of d Npfl, these home based pros need to be more consistent. For example, Godwin Obaje who was blazing last season is way down on d goal chart. The tales ofMfon Udoh,Jude Aneke etc is also saddening to say d least. I'm sure d likes of Aguero et al didn't get to d top dat way. Let these boys grow up frm being a "one season wonder " nd not b distracted by moves to obscure leagues abroad.
I'm waiting for CHAN to assess them well but once again, consistency is d watch word guys
Up Super Eagles!!!

Much Ado About Nothing : It Will Take ONLY Three Days For Bazee To Obtain Passport, Rohr To Help

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has promised Noah Joel Sarenren Bazee that he will fast-track his application for a Nigerian passport which will pave the way for the Hannover striker to represent the national team.

According to reports in the German media, Rohr has informed Bazee’s intermediary Nadir Kama that he will assist with all necessary formalities for him to obtain the important document.

Allnigeriasoccer.com’s checks at the Nigerian embassy in Germany revealed that it will take the officials only three days to issue a passport to Noah Bazee.

Though born in Stadthagen to a German mother and raised in the European nation, the 20-year-old is a bonafide citizen of Nigeria through his father.

The young striker has no caps for the German national teams and does not need Fifa’s approval before making an appearance for the Super Eagles.

ADO Den Haag Starlet Ebuehi : I Do Not Know Nigerian National Anthem
Published: March 05, 2017

ADO Den Haag right wing-back Tyronne Ebuehi has eighteen more days to learn how to sing the Nigerian National Anthem before a potential debut against Senegal.

The defender has pleasantly surprised to check his mailbox last week and there was an invitation from the Nigeria Football Federation to travel for matches against Senegal and Burkina Faso in London.

Ebuehi was first called up to the national team last October for the World Cup qualifier against Algeria but he turned down the invitation so as to establish himself in the first team squad of ADO Den Haag and has been in contact with coach Rohr.

“Four years ago I played for an amateur club and now I’m invited to the national team, ” said Ebuehi to omroepwest.nl.

“That of course always gives some confidence. But you have to prove yourself. Now the call-up has finally come officially. That’s a nice reward.

“ "I don’t know the national anthem. I still have to practice it, but that should be fine.”

The 21-year-old Ebuehi played for the youth teams of DSOV, SV Hoofddorp, Young Boys and HFC EDO before signing his first professional contract with ADO Den Haag in May 2014.

Eagles coach chases young Levekusen star

images(cool.jpg

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is working to convince Bayer Leverkusen attacking sensation Chinedu Ekene to commit his international future to Nigeria.

The 17-year-old, who has represented Germany from Under-15 to Under-18 level, is eligible to play for Nigeria because his father is a Nigerian. The German-born player is also free to switch because he has yet to play for the European country’s senior national team.

Ekene, who is one of the players to be promoted to the Budesliga side’s first team next summer, has earned rave reviews from the German media following his countless good performances in the Under-19 league.

Our correspondent learnt that Rohr, who takes a keen interest in the German Bundesliga and the French Ligue 1, has been pressuring the young striker to play for the Eagles instead of Die Mannschaft (German senior national team).

Despite Germany manager Jaochim Low boasting Werder Bremen’s 28-year-old hitman Max Kruse and Manchester City forward Leroy Sane, 20, in his squad, Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller, 27, remains the World Cup champions’ best striker.

Low could be monitoring Ekene’s development, and Rohr has decided to make a move for the young striker.

Sources told our correspondent that German manager Rohr allegedly met several times with the player trying to convince him to choose Nigeria ahead of his mother’s country.

It was learnt that the former Burkina Faso and Gabon coach is also monitoring the performances of two other German-born Nigerians in the Bayer Leverkusen youth set-up Ufumwen Osawe (striker) and Maduka Okoye (goalkeeper). Both players are 17.

Rohr had told our correspondent last week that he was in talks with a German-born Nigerian at Bayer Leverkusen to play for the Eagles. And our correspondent learnt that Ekene is the player.

The former Bordeaux manager said aside from ADO Den Haag’s Dutch-born right-back Tyronne Ebuehi, who has agreed to commit his international future to Nigeria, he (Rohr) had been searching for young talents in Europe with Nigerian roots to play for the Eagles.

According to the 63-year-old former Bayern Munich defender, he wants players who are hungry for glory, as he believes the Eagles will qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup.

Nigeria currently lead their Russia 2018 qualifying group on six points after beating Zambia 2-1 and Algeria 3-1 last year.

Nigeria Coach Optimistic ADO Den Haag Talent Ebuehi Will Debut Against Senegal

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is optimistic that ADO Den Haag defender Tyronne Ebuehi will accept his invitation to the national team for the international friendly against Senegal in March.

Barely two months ago, the German manager could not persuade Ebuehi to make his international debut versus Algeria in a World Cup qualifier, with the right-back citing the need to first establish himself in the first team of his club.

“In the right-back position, I have met with Tyrone Ebuehi, a very good player. I invited him the last time but he only just started to play for ADO Den Haag. But now, he is playing regularly, ” Rohr told reporters.

“I have spoken with his parents and they are in support. The manager and agent are okay with everything.”

The former Bayern Munich defender added : “So Tyrone will be there in March for our next game. So we will have a new right-back or even left-back because he can play in both positions.

“He is big, he is quick and grew up in Amsterdam. We will see his integration into the team which will not be easy.”

Since the World Cup qualifier against Algeria, Ebuehi has started every single game for his club in the Eredivisie.

Rohr Slams Eagles Door On Enyeama – I Called Him Over 10 Times And He Never Responded Nor Call Back

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has given up on trying to convince former goalkepper Vincent Enyeama to come out of retirement and play for Nigeria.

Rohr ruled out any future contact with the Lille man after revealing that the 33 year old appears to have made up his mind to stick to his international retirement.

The Franco German coach said he tried reaching out at Enyeama when they had a goalkepper crisis before the game against Algeria, but Enyeama failed to take his calls and didn’t return them later.

” When we had crisis in our hands after Carl Ikeme’s injury, I called him (Enyeama) over 10 times and he never responded nor called back”, Rohr said to Owngoalnigeria.com.

” I am happy with how Daniel Akpeyi responded to the test when he was called up as emergency cover, but he needs to buckle up because we can’t solely depend on Ikeme”.
