Crime / 6-year-old, Parents Shot After Basketball Rolls Into Man’s North Carolina Yard by Comleg: 11:38am On Apr 20, 2023
A North Carolina 6-year-old and her parents were shot Tuesday night by an angry neighbor who fired at them after a basketball rolled into his yard, a report.

Kinsley White was wounded along with her mother Ashley Hilderbrand and father William White when a gunman opened fire at around 8 p.m. in Gaston County after he became enraged about the bouncing ball, according to WSOC-TV.

White was critically injured attempting to protect his daughter.

Neighbors told the station a group of kids was playing basketball when the ball bounced into the alleged gunman’s yard.

Suspected shooter Robert Louis Singletary grew angry and ran down the street as he fired at a neighbor, they reportedly said.

Then he came back and began shooting at the family, including the young daughter who needed stitches on her face from bullet fragments, WSOC-TV reported.

Her father was also hit, and is still in the hospital Wednesday, police said.

He reportedly tried to draw gunfire toward him to keep his kids safe before he was struck in the back.

“We don’t even know the man,” Kinsley told the station, adding. “Why did you shoot my daddy and me? Why did you shoot a kid’s dad?”

Hilderbrand was grazed by a bullet and is recovering at home with her daughter, WSOC-TV reported. Neighbors told the station Singletary allegedly kept shooting until he was out of bullets.

“He looked at my husband and my daughter and told them, ‘I’m going to kill you,’” Hilderbrand told the station.

Authorities said Singletary, 24, is still on the lam.

He’s been charged with four counts of first-degree attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, Gaston County police said.

What do you think? Post a comment.
The department is seeking the public’s help in locating and arresting the fugitive, offering a $1,000 reward.

“I want to say to the people of Gaston County – this sort of violence will not stand,” Police Chief Stephen Zill said in a statement, noting the US Marshals are not involved in the search for Singletary.

How to sêll miracles and make more than 1oo,ooo kpa every Sunday in Nigeria -Pastor Alex Ifeanyi Oguta JP
on April 19, 2023

Self-acclaimed Facebook pastor Alex Ifeanyi Oguta JP have provided a list of things to do in order to become a successful fake pastor. The list includes: creating a catchy name, using social media to gain followers, making false prophecies, soliciting money from followers, and avoiding accountability. These tactics are used to deceive and exploit vulnerable individuals seeking spiritual guidance.

How to sêll miracles and make more than 1oo,ooo kpa every Sunday in Nigeria.

By Pastor Alex Ifeanyi Oguta JP

1. Whether you are educated or not, learn how to speak good English.

2. Learn to speak oral English with a touch of British or European accent.

3. Pick the bible and cram everything quotation that has to do with prosperity and riches.

4. Fry your hair or blend it into an afro style and apply beauty oils and creams steadily.

5. Learn to speak in tongue. You can do that by practicing it every night before you sleep. Even people who hear you won't know you're learning a Yahoo format, they will think you're praying.

6. Start rubbing bleaching cream. I believe top gel is still in the market and very cheap.

7. Join the prayer warriors of a very big church as an apprentice and climb to assistant pastor or evangelist.

8. Be consistent in the church activities and show love to the congregants.

9. Visit the congregants at their houses and pray for them. Make sure you sink your presence into their skull to the extent they can't be comfortable in the church if you have not come.

10. Find the weak point of your senior pastor and use it against him.

11. Break away from his own church and establish yours.

12. Start opening the faults in the methods of worship employed in your former Church and use them to preach against them.

13. Start giving back little by little the money you fleeced from your new followers and appear like a philanthropist.

14. Create weekly miracle hours and start selling your miracle.

You will see that people will start paying for things that have been happening severally in their lives and term them miracles.

If you want to join the religious Yahoo business, you can follow the instructions above.

Politics / Ex-lagos Deputy Gov Vows To Renounce Citizenship Prior Tinubu’s Inauguration by Comleg: 1:47pm On Apr 13, 2023

Ex-Lagos deputy gov vows to renounce citizenship prior Tinubu’s inauguration
on April 13, 2023

Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu, a former deputy governor of Lagos State, announced on Monday that she is in the process of renouncing her Nigerian citizenship due to the emergence of Bola Tinubu as the President-elect.
Speaking to the press at her Lagos residence, Ojikutu stated that the process would be completed before May 29. She had previously stated that she would renounce her citizenship if Tinubu won the election, citing concerns for her safety and well-being. Despite reassurances from others that Tinubu would not harm her, Ojikutu claimed to have been ostracized and humiliated due to their strained relationship.

“I will not hold a Nigerian passport with Bola Tinubu as President. I am praying to God to give me the nation I can go to. I am not going to America or the United Kingdom. I want a simple place where I (can) stay and live for the rest of my life.

“I don’t know where I am going but I have already given it to the lawyers to please see where I can get the citizenship. I am working on it seriously before May 29.”

Ojikutu said all efforts to resolve the differences she had with Tinubu since she was made a Commissioner representing Lagos State at the Federal Character Commission had been unsuccessful.
It's a sad reality that our nation is in a sorry state. I recently had a conversation with a former public office holder who expressed her disappointment in the current state of affairs. She lamented that the National Assembly system is too expensive for Nigeria and that our natural resources are more than enough if they are well managed.

It's disheartening to hear her say that she's no longer proud to have held a public office. She feels that her sacrifices were in vain and that some people boast of their political status as "excellency" over a nation like ours. It's a shame, really. We deserve better.

“People who have served this nation faithfully are unhappy at the turn up of events. There are so many people on the streets who are hungry and everything that was supposed to be put in place has not been put in place.”

She said those who were not satisfied about the outcome of the elections had every right to challenge the process in court.

She also frowned at the situation whereby those challenging the electioneering process were being threatened with treason, adding that it would make the situation messier.

Ojikutu, who expressed confidence in the judiciary called for transparency in handling the cases at the election tribunal.

Education / Female Gender The Most Abused by Comleg: 5:27pm On Apr 10, 2023
Studies have shown that girls who are denied an education are more likely to be married off at a young age and have children early. This perpetuates the cycle of poverty and denies them the opportunity to reach their full potential. By providing girls with equal access to education, we can empower them to become leaders in their communities and contribute to the development of their countrie

Furthermore, when girls are given the same opportunities as boys, they can help to break down gender stereotypes and promote gender equality. This can lead to a more inclusive society where everyone has the chance to succeed. Therefore, it is crucial that we work towards ending gender discrimination and creating a world where the girl child can thrive

Sexual abuse and rape are heinous crimes that should never be tolerated. Unfortunately, when women, girls, and even toddlers become victims of these crimes, they are often blamed for their own abuse. Some people claim that these victims were indecently dressed or exposed their bodies to their abusers, as if this somehow justifies the abuser's actions.

This victim-blaming mentality is not only wrong, it is also incredibly harmful. It perpetuates the idea that women's bodies are objects to be controlled by men, and that men cannot be held responsible for their own actions. It also makes it more difficult for victims to come forward and seek justice, as they may fear being blamed or judged for their own abuse.

Instead of blaming the victim, we need to focus on holding abusers accountable for their actions. We need to teach men and boys that it is never okay to sexually assault or rape someone, regardless of what they may be wearing or how they may be acting. And we need to support victims of sexual abuse and rape, and let them know that they are not to blame for what happened to them.

victim-blaming is a harmful and misguided approach to addressing sexual abuse and rape. We must instead focus on holding abusers accountable and supporting victims, in order to create a safer and more just society for all.

Politics / Organ Harvest:"Ekweremadus And Wife Should Not Be Pitied, This Is Karma" by Comleg: 7:35am On Mar 26, 2023
Organ harvest:"Ekweremadus and wife should not be pitied, this is karma"
on March 26, 2023

A Facebook user Nkechi Bianze has taken to her Facebook page to drag those expressing pity on Ekweremadus and his family, she wrote;
I understand that the Ekweremadus were doing what they could do to save their child.

I am a parent who would do ANYTHING legal and reasonable to save my child.

BUT... I would never do that at the expense of someone else's child. Neither will I try to exploit another person's child to save mine.

If my child needs kidney, the first option I would think is one of MY KIDNEYS. Then the second option is one of my child's father's kidneys.

Then, I'd think of my ADULT children who WILLINGLY want to donate.
Then, I'd think of ADULT and WILLINGLY consenting relatives who want to donate.

If all these options don't work, then I'd go on ORGAN DONOR WAITLIST while I survive on dialysis.

I will NOT go and look for a poor man's child and try to capitalize on their poverty to buy their kidney. It's WRONG and it's a crime.
The life of a poor man is NOT worth less than the life of a rich man.

ZERO PITY FROM ME!!!

Those Nigerians feigning pity make me laugh. You all pray for karma to happen to your corrupt leaders. Karma SELDOM happens. On the few occasions that something like karma happens, you start feigning "empathy". Do you want God to punish bad leaders or not? Stay one place abeg.

Do you know the number of lives that were lost due to the wrongs of these people? Do you know the number of kidney failures and deaths that have happened to people and people's children?

See ehn, just like I saw people rejoicing and celebrating when Abacha died, nah so we suppose dey celebrate if bad things happen to some people who have caused serious mass harm and hurt to others.

Abeg you people should comot for road with your yeye pity.

I still want to know why no one from the Ekweremadus, parents, siblings could donate. Do they have genetic issues running in the family that made them medical unable to donate?

Why the kidney of a poor man's child?

Sports / The Story Of Miss Eze Joy Ogbonne Who Won 3 Gold Medals At 15 Who Was Never Reme by Comleg: 8:31am On Jan 12, 2020
The train of appreciation has taken us to Umu-una, isu in onicha local govenment Area of Ebonyi State.

The unique family has decided to give honour to whom honour is due.

Talents are dying and the ones that have been discovered are left to perish.

That is the reason why the Story of
Miss EZE JOY OGBONNE, whose picture appears below will not just die like others.
Let me give you a brief history of her.

A girl who discovered her talent at a very tender age and have trained herself even with the dilapidated equipments. She was invited to participate during the December 2018 Festival games in abuja and she won 2 gold and 1Bronze at the age of 14years and that made her qualify to represent Nigera in the 12th All African Games in Morocco, August 2019(Weightlifting). She got to the final and defeated two Egyptian girls to win three gold medals, and Become an African Champion at the age of 15 years. (Ebonyi State girl).

This kid came back home and wasn't given a grand reception just because she is from a poor background.
The commissioner for youth and sport ignored her maybe because her father wasn't a big man in politics.
The government pretended she never existed just because there is no one to speak for her.

Many talents have been buried in the grave but this one I mean this one, we the unique family will not allow it go down unrecognized.

That is the reason the Unique Family crew has decided to visit her in her village in isu, onicha local government area and ascertain the nature of her welfare, which was very very discouraging.

We will be packaging a grand reception for her as a true AFRICAN CHAMPION that she is and an appreciation reception by next week.

We are going to shut down Abakaliki town for her sake and give her the champion ovation and reception that she truely deserves.

Prince ozed

Health / Females Genital Mutilation Is Still A Menace In The Whole Of Africa -rita Anaba by Comleg: 8:26am On Mar 08, 2019
Exclusive interview with Mrs Anaba Rita

My name is Anaba Rita from Abia State. I am a Public Health Nurse/ Midwife and Researcher.

What is your advice to young ladies out there?
My advice to young ladies out there is that women are the strenght of the world. Every woman should work hard to be independent in every area of life. This can only be achieved through proper girl-child education or by empowering women through entrepreneurship program. When a woman works hard and is financially independent. She will make the right choices in life and take appropriate decisions. Any girl who is lazy and looking for an already made man to marry is planning to be frustrated in marriage.

Do you think Females genital mutilation has been totally eradicated?
Females genital mutilation is still a menace in the whole of Africa due to our belief and cultural practices. It has consistently caused many complications to women during childbirth and has also contributed to maternal and newborn mortality in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. Female genital mutilation can be totally eradicated from our society if women will allow it. In most cultures in Africa female genital cutting is being perpetrated by women and this culture is passed on from one generation to another by our old women. Female genital cutting / mutilation, I can say is women inhumanity to women.

What is your veiw on sexual education, child marriage and sexual abuse? Sex Education is one important responsibilities which parents neglect. Sex education should be commenced for a child from 5 years. A growing child should be given this education in a comprehensive way but in small bits at a time. Parents should not be shy to mention words like sex, penis, breast, vagina to their young child during sex education. Comprehensive sex education prepares a child very well for the days ahead. Parents especially mothers should know that when they fail to teach their child everything they should know that their peers will help to teach them in a wrong way.
Child marriage is child abuse. Giving a girl out in marriage at a tender age means destroying the destiny of the child and should be prohibited.

How can you forge a more gender-balance world?
Forging a more gender- balanced world entails having a world where governments, boardrooms, media coverage, professional arena, business, sharing of wealth, sharing of inheritance, class room, science and research, and all human activities and endeavours are gender-balanced. That is having a good number of women in positions of authority. A gender- balanced world is a peaceful and prosperous world.

Nairaland / General / They Said "A Woman Belongs To Another City"-dr Kate Ambrose by Comleg: 7:34am On Mar 08, 2019
Exclusive interview with Dr. Kate Ambrose
Can You Tell Us Your Name and where you are from?
I am Pastor Dr Kate Ambrose, from Abia state.

What do you do for a living?
I have been a student counselor at the national Open University of Nigeria until my retirement last January.
How long have you been under the educational sector?
I worked as a classroom teacher for 14 years, worked as a federal school inspector for 10 years, before switching to the national open university of Nigeria and worked for 15 years.

What is your view on international women’s day (IWD)?
It is a day we celebrate women, both young and old, the values that are placed on women, their contributions in the society
A woman is very relevant due to her multitasking nature, women play a lot of roles .To consolidate a woman’s value , she get pregnant, runs the family, and still face office task at work and coming back home to the kitchen. Therefore I solicit for women’s celebration.

What has been your greatest challenge as a woman?
It is marginalization, women are always marginalized ,a lot of taboos against women which are not applicable to men, let’s look at the bible , the woman that was caught committing adultery, she was to be stoned to death , meanwhile the adultery was committed with a man . I saw a video online where a Muslim girl was stone to death for committing fornication and I wondered where the man was.
If you want to buy a car or build a house, the response you often get is that you are a woman.
Another challenge, was the choice of education over marriage, was a challenge. Although I had my goals and desire, my aspiration was to study, I love education, I love ambitious women and I admired them.
I had many suitors right from my form 1, I refused to be distracted. Education was my priority; I made sure I satisfy my educational curiosity before marriage. My father loved education but my mother was a little bit pushy about marriage.
We were told folk tales that helped us, guided us; I grew up to detest association with the male gender to avoid compromise.

What inspired you to further your education?
What inspired me was the passion, instinctive and inner drive to go higher. I set goals , one after the other , I never knew I will become a doctor , I only desired it .as a growing girl child I felt those who didn’t have passion for education were lazy .
In those days graduate where held in high esteem, my father had passion for education and mandated us all to attain a level of education.
How friendly was the Africa tradition when you choose to further your career?
It was a thug of war, some enemies of education who had bond with tradition discouraged my parent from traning the girls,
My parents rejected their proposal. They said nwanyi bu obodo onye ozo” (a woman belongs to another city); consequently, any money invested on them is a waste, they said age is counting, mean while I was 16 years.
I over came by been focused on goal. My goal helped me, which was to attend the higher level as I explained earlier. I succeeded when I bagged my PHD.
