Hello friends.
Can I relocate to Canada with 10m?

The first consideration should be “under which immigration program in Canada will you be eligible to apply” after stating your background; educational, work experience, language proficiency, financials, immediate family in Canada etc.

All site you mention are not just about remote job in canada but worldwide but You can also add fiverr but am just telling you the current tech job situation in canada is not rosy now!

The questioner asked about Canada and that the reason for mentioning Canada. Generally, job situation is not rosy everywhere not only in Canada but it’s left for whoever is looking for job to be persistent.

You can try to apply but It is not as easy as people think. There are thousands of individuals in Canada with the same skills and highly technical expertise still searching for jobs in the tech field. Don't be deceived by JobBank. I can confidently tell you that 80% of the jobs are old or dummy advertisements used to get LMIA approval in some cases and will not reply you!

I am an employer and not looking for jobs. However there are many freelancer’s sites that young Nigerians get remote jobs from; freelancer.com, upskills.com etc.

Most remote work requires work authorization.

Yes, most but not all. Equally, non residents can incorporate a companies in Canada which can be used for contract works.

The applicant you're referring to possesses a UK student visa and a US visa. If you assert that Canada does not discriminate in visa issuance, yet the majority who received visas with no travel experience are now seeking asylum in Canada, then you think it reasonable to expect that they will continue to issue visas to the majority of this same category?. This is not discrimination, but wisdom!

Yes, it’s wisdom on their part.

My experience as a well travelled applicant.

Please how can I get a job in Canada while living in Nigeria?

If you’re highly skilled in IT with certification in your area of specialisation, then search for remote & contract works in Canada for freelancers.

Best of luck!

So Technically my Portugal Study duration would be 2yrs now the question is does Menial Jobs Like Waitering in a Restaurant allow one to apply for an official Portuguese work visa after studies ,can someone help answer this?!

If you plan coming to Portugal for studies make sure you acquire a vocational skill such as plumbing, carpentry, bricklaying etc. You can easily get something to do while schooling with such skills.

Work permit after studies is not really an issue but with availability of jobs. Those with IT skills are able to get paid employment easier.

You don’t need to be charged any fee to process Tourist visa if you do it yourself (DIY), it is the simplest form of application, go to YouTube to make research or study this thread well, you’ll understand what am talking about .

Anyone that can’t complete visa application form on his own will struggle to survive in advanced countries where virtually every task is DIY.

Please note that the first national minimum wage Act of 1981 prescribed a minimum wage of N125 per month. This was revised in 1991 to N250 per month, revised again in 2000 to N5,500 per month, and in 2011 to N18,000 per month…

You meant to say the first negotiated national minimum wage through collective bargaining by labour unions, government and other stakeholders. Before 1981, governments have been fixing minimum wages.

Search for the “Wage Board and Industrial Council Act No. 1 of 1973” where statutory minimum wage was clearly defined. As a result of this Act, “Udoji Salary Award” (Owo Udoji) was paid to government workers and some of the private sector employers also did same.

If truly you were a university student in the 80s, you should know that the monthly minimum wage was 125 Naira not 80 Naira. At the prevailing exchange rate of ₦0. 61/$1, this was equivalent to $204.92 a month.

In 1980, the minimum wage was N45 if my memory serves me right. My monthly allowance at the Polytechnic was N35 per month and lived like a king. From Abeokuta to Oshodi, bus fare was 40 kobo. A carton of 33 beer was N1 and a bottle was sold for 10 kobo. Five Geisha was N1 and other brands, you’ll get six.

DNA for a child Mohbad himself did not reject or deny while alive? These people are not serious. Baba wan use elimination method to remove the child so as to inherit his son's property.

Updated

When can the Court Order a DNA Test?
Where a person is a minor (not an adult) and his paternity is in issue, the court can order the conduct of DNA test in the overall interest of the child, to ascertain where he belongs. See TONY ANOZIA V. MRS. PATRICIA OKWUNWA NNANI & IGNATIUS "NNANI" (2015) 8 NWLR (PT. 1461) 241

Who Can Apply for a Paternity Test in Nigeria?
Notwithstanding that the right to ascertain paternity exists in Nigeria, it is important to understand that the process and conditions surrounding the application for a paternity test must adhere to established legal principles.

In Nigeria, the following individuals can apply for a paternity test:

1. A Father: A man who doubts his biological relationship with a child can apply for a paternity test.

2. A Mother: A mother may also apply for a paternity test to establish the biological father of her child.

3. A Guardian or Custodian: In the paramount interest of a child, the child's guardian may apply to the Court to ascertain the paternity of the child.

Mohbad's father is neither of the above. This case is DOA. He does not have the locus.

You have forgotten that there is “father” in “Grandfather”.

Hey family, am glad to be here, am a 28 yrs old Nigerian lady with a great determination spirit. I couldn't attend a university to study a nursing degree which is my dream career but I attended a college of health with struggles due to financial incapability. I was raised by a mum who lost her husband at early stage. We are four am the third.

When I completed my secondary school i started working in a hospital as an hospital aid, I was able to raised some cash I proceeded to a college of health where i did a three years course and i graduated with flying colours.

I immediately moved to Lagos and start working in a hospital. I was able to raise some money that was in 2020. I did my pass port. I went online, I met some friends and i applied for a Dubai visa with the intention of getting there to do some care course, so I can work in care homes or hospital.

I got the visa. I traveled, i did the course i was able to get a caregiver job luckily for me with 2000 dhm salary. I was happy thinking my dream is gradually coming through i would able to save money, proceed with my nursing degree and take care of my mum, unfortunately for me, the issues of Nigerian cultists came up in UAE. They stopped all documentation for Nigerians, that was when the ban started. I waited a bit but nothing changed i had no choice than to come back to Nigeria in 2020. I quickly landed in Lagos and started applying to hospital all over again, i got a job again, salary was way below the offers i got in UAE, since then till now, i was able to raise 2M.

Now my people please advice me, which country can this amount take me to with flight tickets etc.

A country I can be able to work and may be further to earn a degree later.

Pls Advice me 🥺

Thank you sir /thank u ma

Firstly, hold on to your hospital job in Nigeria. And secondly, do online search for care jobs in the UK with visa sponsorship. Apply to as many as you can, but don’t pay recruitment fees to anyone. If you persevere, I am sure you’ll get a care job in the UK after a while.

My student visa for a Master programme just got approved in November (last month) but my wife who applied along with me as a dependant is yet to receive any call from the embassy till date and I am in panic mode because we intend to leave Nigeria latest by Jan ending and we have started selling our household items.
I can't leave her alone in Nigeria because her parents are no more alive and it will definitely be dangerous to live apart because our marriage is just about 3years old.
I need someone to advise me and wish to know how student with similar experience were able to secure approval for their spouse and what is the longest period it took from experience.

Unfortunately, you will have to travel alone to Portugal and your wife/family will join you at a later date. You will need to get your Temporary Residence Permit (TRC) when you arrive in Portugal first, before you can start the reunification process for your wife/family.

Which history traced him to be a slave?

In Yoruba language, Nupe is called Tapa.

Oshodi Tapa was a servant in the palace and by providence was selected by the King when the Colonialist requested that the King nominate someone for schooling. That was how Oshodi Tapa became one the earliest residents of Lagos to acquire western education.

Hey !

It's seem grammar is the issue here . Go back and read my comment..I wrote ..how can you retrieve an ALREADY SUBMITTED DS 160 APPLICATION ?

That your green circle is pointing to ONGOING NEW APPLICATION THAT HAS NOT BEEN FINALLY SUBMITTED...SO YOU CAN RETRIEVE THAT 100 TIMES IF YOU HAVE NOT SUBMITTED FINALLY .

PS: DS 160 page usually time you out if you hesitate too long on each page and after time out YOU CAN RETRIEVE THE ONGOING PAGE with your DOB...security question and the initial DS 160 number .....THIS IS WHAT YOU MEANT BY ..YOU CAN [/b]CALL UP A DS 160 APPLICATION.

NO magician can retrieve an ALREADY SUBMITTED (final submission) DS 160 pages .

There is God...Don't give up.

You’re a new Pharaoh that didn’t know Moses. A few years ago, I was one of the most active members giving quality opinions here despite not being an Agent.

On that screenshot (earlier shared) there’s nothing saying retrieving ongoing applications only.

When you retrieve a submitted application, it will take you to the attached dialog menu which will give you the option of either viewing (and reprinting) the confirmation page or create a new application which will have virtually all the details earlier entered.

Hi everyone, pls I need your help guys

But while filling the form ,i picked this dec ( 2023 )for the trip, didnt know they wont be close appointment date
Is it possible to edit and put next year summer date, since I didnt get appointment for this year, Or shud I just ignore it.
Hope they dont refuse cos of that,if I decided not to change it .pls kindly help

I am in the same situation, I fill my DS-160 in January 2020 for an appointment in March 2020 before COVID-19 kicked in. I will be filling another form for my appointment in January 2020.

Normally, I call up my last form and use it to complete another DS-160 form. It’s easier that way as I don’t have to refill all the data.
