akindayor

Whaoh your expectation is quite watery: Transcorp hitting N7,500 in 7years time. That is a blast that can kill a man. This means your N1,000,000 investment will be worth over N1,000,000,000 (N1Billion). Na wa for you. Your expectation is quite interesting. I think I may join the game even if it is gambling.

I will not forgive myself if it got there without me.

Well principle says wait till the structures are there. It is not bad to buy transcorp at N15 when the structures are already in place if ever it is really going to get to that height.

Just sharing my opinion. I am still a spectator on this company.

My bro, your wits are extra-ordinary and very amusing. True talk man. Who do we sell to later?

Do you know even if a company performs extra-ordinarily without much demand on its shares at the secondary market, it won't make any difference in price margin (price appreciation). This because price movement is determined by the forces of supply and demand. I don't see much demand on Transcorp after this primary market show as many are already jumping in. While buy (demand) later at the secondary market. Our only hope for profit from transcorp will be bonus shares.

egoldman:
As I previously said, the principle behind your investment drive is more important than mere casual advice from people. How are you sure people that wants you to buy a particular stocks are doing so because they already have their money stuck there. This because as more people rush into a stock the higher the price of the stock gets.

My advice is for you to follow your chosen investment principle. Over 100K is no small money for you to throw away because somebody advice you to.

Happy investment!!!!  wink

Transcorp has been a major debate on most national dailies last week. Check the Nations, Guardian and Financial standard and you will see what I am saying.

Those Transcorp angelist should be careful about how they sell their idea about this company stocks.

Jobs/Vacancies / You Can Get Any Job In Nigeria Now! by damadsuite(m): 4:13pm On Jan 15, 2007
Do you know you can get any job with any company in Nigeria even when there is currently no job listing or vacancy advertise from the company.

A friend of mine made me understand this when he got a fantastic job with a multi-national company with the company not actually advertising a vacant position. He sent a proposal to the multi-national company outlining how he can help them brand their old product already in the market but not doing well. The plan was very encouraging and genius that he was invited for a meeting with some member of the company board. After the meeting where he was made to give a presentation of how he intend turning the company sales around, He was immediately given a top executive position.

I also discovered he sent this same proposal to several companies but in most cases, he changes the proposal to suit the company product. Three of the many companies he sent the proposals to gave him a hearing but only one actually employed him.

The last time he visited me, he was already given a company car.

The philosophy behind your investment principle is what counts when it comes to investing. Because one would have made over 100% does not make the rationale behind buying stocks whose chances are merely speculative right. There are many other shares with well defined structure and growth prospect to buy for the main time.

Well, institutional investors are quite different from individual speculators.

Sorry Jenny!

You are pretty pre-occupied with resentment and desire for arguements. Please just do this for me: Go out this afternoon and take a count of phone booths operators in your area and you will discover how strange the numbers are. Not until you look more closely at opportunities, you will never know the figures.

We are not selling the idea to you but just pointing a fact, you can research into. I never said you should take up the business as many are already into the business even before we came in. It is not a task for you to delve into everything you see.

Mean no offence!

My broker thought I bought during the private placement because he talk so much about it before the private placement. We have trading relationship with more than 7 brokerage firms because of our market data services.

Investing like most other things requires that you have a general philosophy about how to do things in order to avoid careless errors.

My argument against Transcorp is not that it is not capable of becoming the nations golden egg but I am particularly against the gambling tendency almost all are showing towards this stock or company shares.

For enlightenment purpose, I will like to raise some questions we need to answer concerning Transcorp:

What is the real VALUE of Transcorp?
An investor’s purpose should be to know both the price and the value of a company’s stock. A good investor is one who purchases a company’s share at a large discount to its intrinsic value. Have you asked yourself, what would be the value of Transcorp if it is Liquidated or sold tomorrow. I mean the net worth of Nicon Hilton, the dilapidated NITEL/MTEL and the other licenses they have been able to get from the government.

What has been the Growth of Transcorp since inception?
Experienced investors look at the underlying quality of companies and the rate at which it is growing in order to analyze whether to buy it. Transcorp has not been able to show a dogged growth capability since their inception as a giant politically backed corporation. Again there is no vital growth statistics for us to base our analysis on. Buying this stock now as a growth investor is not substantiated but sentimental ………,  Gambling Tendency!!!

• What would be my Annual Return? Many investors buy stocks primary because of the stream of dividends they generate. I don’t think we should be expecting dividend from Transcorp for the next couple of years and if this is case, then this share is likely to be abandoned in years to come thereby stalling the share appreciation. Nigerians are basically “EPS investors”.

Finally my fellow Nairaland users, there is a great difference between investing and speculating. What are the odds of winning the lottery jackpot? Maybe 1 in every 10million.
You don’t need a card dealer or dour stranger to gamble. There are plenty of stock market gamblers who do an admirable job of losing their money on seemingly legitimate pursuits. I think investors gamble every time they commit their money to something they don’t understand.

There are a lot of questions you should ask about a company before you throw your hard earned cash at a “hot” stock. There is nothing too hot about losing your money because you didn’t take the time to understand what you were investing in.

Remember: Every Naira that you speculate with and lose is a naira that is not working for you over the long-term to create wealth.

Speculation promises to give you everything you want right now but rarely delivers; Patience almost guarantees those goals down the road.

There is nothing bad about adding Transcorp shares to your stock investment portfolio after they most have been able to refurbish NITEL, build their energy business and other “big big”  businesses they promises.

WHY THE RUSH!!! …………………,  Gambling Tendency

Eh! great nairalanders, the objectives of my posts are not to advertise our investment activities but to enlighten people on how to do things themself. I have never told anyone to give us money to invest for them. Our investment programs where drawn up because of the large number of people that use our services and wanted us to help them manage some of their fund passively. We mange fund only for real people in Delta State and our program is very private.

I am not the one that brought up the issue of investing money for anybody, but people that visited my website and wanted to know more. See I think I don't need anybody's money to be in business and not even yours. If I needed that I would made the process of investing in our program very interesting and straightforward and would have gone every where to advertise it. We are not in the business of managing people's money but building trading systems and financing start-ups and providing market data for fundamental and technical analysis.

I don't have to been in Lagos to be in Business as many has been asking me. If you need to do business with us you can visit our office at HG Research & Development, Obireko House, 18 Okpe Road Sapele Delta State. It will be completely foolish for anyone to send money to somebody or company for investment opportunity when he doesn't even know the person or company. I am not interested in posting every details about myself or my company on this forum because that wasn't my vision for assisting people. My aim here is to assist people start up businesses and get stable financially in year 2007 and doing it themselves.

Thanks anyway for the post. It is worth it, as many are already getting carried away by the lazy way to get financially stable (i.e giving somebody money to do it for them) rather than learning how to do it themself.

Kimba: You missed the point here. This thread was placed up basically to help New comers enter neatly into ebusiness and ecommerce. We are not just asking for screenshot but a more clearer proof that the venture you are telling us is real and you have made money from it. We need to know how the venture works and what has been the outcome. I don't think anybody can do you arm by just seeing your records.

This is one difference between the developed world and the under - developed world. Have you taken your time to observe success stories and sales letter all over the net. They all have records and not a dime have left their account for just telling the people what they made. I don't see any reason why we can't say exactly what we can do online to make money for real and lead others to the opportunity.

I think we all have too many ebusiness ideas and none has really worked. This thread has been up for a while now but not one clear opportunity has been posted up for anybody in this forum to start immediately. People keep saying we need to "crack" our heads. Why crack the nut out of our heads!

If long term, Then no rush in into this stock. The opportunity truly will remain for life if they are able to consolidate on the large capital they will get after this IPO. Well I am watching the outcome of the company and the business structure. I don't like joining the crowd.
Business / Transcorp Not Worth The Hype by damadsuite(m): 5:44pm On Jan 12, 2007
My broker just contacted me to SELL off transcorp shares. There is so much hype about the strength of this company even when there is no subtential business activities surrounding this so called mega-company. The Nitel they bought is still in a dilapidated state. The Oil activities they said is still no where to reckon with. Nicon Hilton is the only truly functional business Transcorp is currently into and I don't see the envisage return from just Nicon Hilton.

The risk is quite high when investing basing ones analysis on future performance or an envisageD structure. Nigeria business environment is very competitive and any company can be shoked out easily especially when they are new comers. The telecom sector is almost shoke up and transcorp is certainly not going to find it easy.

Somebody should better tell us why we should buy shares of this envisage mega giant. I will rather buy their shares only when the structure they claim is on ground. Love low risk.

There is nothing vital about telling people how they too can benefit from ebusiness or ecommerce activities. I see a lot of Scams all over the place and even in this Forum and it is disheartening the way people get away with their lies. My philosophy is teach the people what to truly do and they will be FREE from scams.

I hardly see real facts on this Forum when it comes to e-business and e-commerce. I think we are all brothers and fellow Nairaland users and we should watch each others back. The wealth power in e-commerce and e-business is unending and I don't see any reason why my return will diminish if I tell how you too can start up your own true passive income opportunity.

Don't Pay Attention to:
1. HYIP Programs
2. MLM Programs because they don't offer any thing
3. Paid to take survey
4. Paid to read mails
5. Don't buy any guide promising to teach you how to make millions over night
6. Don't read too much success digest. Most make their money from seminars and selling guides.
7. Don't invest too much money on Forex trading if you have not being trading for over 1 year.
8. Don't stock your fund on e-gold
9. Convert all your online wealth to physical investments like stocks, real estates, brick and mortar business, career development e.t.c.

True Solution:
Get your own website and I let you know what to keep on it for true wealth. Only on this Forum. No mails or calls

Many are asking if truly people make money from affiliate programs and if I can show my records of at least an annual commission I received from affiliate programs to confirm my post on generating massive passive income.

Please you can view my annual commission from just one of the affiliate program I belong to.  I got a total of $1,753.00 (About N250,000). I only collected this fund at the end of the year for investing in the stock market. I am into about 13 affiliate programs that truly pays.

Please Sorry for the Lengthy Post. I know the black man hates reading! Good things always come in rag bags , Laugh
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….………

Do you know you don’t need large capital to start building your way to some millions of Naira but TIME? The knowledge of what to do is ultimate when it comes to wealth creation not money.

All you need!
• Patience ( TIME )
• Diligence and Determination
• Discipline

What is your future (TIME) plan? College for the kids? An opportunity to live in opulence in the future? A duplex with beautiful garden of yours? A retirement villa in Victoria Garden City Lagos? Or a brand new exotic car?
The plan is to save some money monthly to invest in the stock market at the end of the year. Assuming you were able to save N2, 500 monthly, by the end of the year you would have saved N30, 000 to invest in the stock market (don’t worry yet about the stock trading strategy to use). If your money returned 25% a year (which is very modest compared to what the regular CALM Index returns annually), your N30, 000 regular yearly investment would be worth over N121,000,000 after 30years (TIME). You could buy that beautiful retirement villa with that kind of money.

You are probably saying 30years is just too long a time of waiting. You want to be very stable as a one digit millionaire within the next 10years. Then you should be thinking of saving about N10,000 monthly or N120,000 annually. It's not a lot, but if you're in your 20s, or 30s you've got the investor's best ally on your side -- TIME. If you invest N120,000 once a year in an investment that averages a 25% annual return, it'll grow to more than N5million after 10 years, and to over N51million after 20 years.

Real Returns

In fact, if you leave money invested, its value will mushroom over time through the miracle of compounding. As we discussed back, as you earn investment returns, your returns begin to gain returns as well, allowing you to turn a measly naira into thousands or even millions of naira if you leave it invested long enough.
The more money you save and invest today in any program, the more you'll have in the future. Real wealth, the stuff of dreams, is in fact created almost magically through the most mundane and commonplace principles: patience, time, and the power of compounding.
Look at it another way -- if you were to take a mere N200 a week and put it into an index fund, then at the end of 30 years, assuming a modest 30% return annually, you would have just over N119million bucks. In short, you would have basically saved just N360,000 to make a gain of over N118million in 30years which is just enough for you to retire with pleasure and luxury.

The Real Issue

The real issue here is how do one save N10,000 monthly to invest later in the NSE market. There are many easy routes to take if you really want to save some passive money monthly. The route I took is outlined below:

MY INVESTMENT STRUCTURE FOR THE PAST 8 YEARS.

Immediately I entered the university, I decided to save some money for the future as I have always dreamed of being a millionaire. Then I was just 18years old. I told myself that 15 years from this period I want to truly count my own millions and be seen as a City Big Boy. I knew I must work it out. I planned on saving N3,000 monthly which is N36,000 annually to invest in stocks. My 15years target after doing my calculations on 25% annual return was about N5million.

I stick so closely to the plan that within the first 6months I was able to save the annual N36,000 and immediately I invested it into my personally organized Index Stocks of about 10 blue chips companies then listed in the NSE.

By my second year, my portfolio was already worth over N80,000 as I was undertaking every financial ventures in school to enable me save an extra for my stock investment portfolio. During the late 90’s e-Business and e-Commerce became popular in Nigeria and there is this nag in the air that good money could be made from online business. I started studying most models that were available then. I took particular interest in affiliate programs and building propriety products for global marketing online. I joined several affiliate programs but majority never worked but my propriety product (an African advertising service website) was my major source of online income. I was then grossing about N400,000 annually from it and my affiliate programs was grossing about N90,000 annually. My portfolio automatically grow by N250,000 annual addition. The balance money was spent on running around Cafes and my school expenses.
Towards around the year 1999, the Forex market suffixed, it was also hyped that unprecedented money can also be made from it. I joined the race and tested (demo traded) for over 9months. I discovered I was making about 15-25% return monthly and it was a major surprise to me. By this time my affiliate network has grown so huge that I was making about $200 monthly from it. I started investing my monthly profit from the FX market into my NSE portfolio.

In a nutshell, the bogus lingo ecommerce and ebusiness is a great way to grow wealth from zero capital: My strategy is

1. Have a simple site of your own with a very profitable affiliate network on it. Like google adsense, marketiva affiliate program, e-gold commission program, pay-per-impressions and private advertising programs.
2. Have a simple propriety product of your own. Like a simple web application people can subscribe to, e-gold exchange business, web hosting business etc
3. Your major concentration is the stock market as it is the only stable and very low risk investment vehicle on planet earth. Your plan is to buy these companies stocks annually with equal amount: These are the list of companies to buy:

ACCESS BANK PLC
AFRIBANK NIGERIA PLC
ASHAKA CEMENT COMPANY PLC
CADBURY NIGERIA PLC
DIAMOND BANK PLC
FIRST BANK OF NIGERIA PLC
FIRST CITY MERCHANT BANK
GUARANTY TRUST BANK PLC
GUINNESS NIGERIA PLC
INTERCONTINENTAL BANK PLC
MOBIL OIL NIGERIA PLC
NATIONAL OIL & CHEMICAL MKTG CO. PLC.
NESTLE FOODS NIGERIA PLC
NIGERIAN BOTTLING COMPANY PLC
NIGERIAN BREWERIES PLC
OCEANIC BANK PLC
TOTAL (NIGERIA) PLC
UNILEVER NIGERIA PLC
UNION BANK OF NIGERIA PLC
UNIPETROL NIGERIA PLC
UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA PLC
WEMA BANK PLC
WEST AFRICAN PORTLAND CEMENT CO. PLC.
ZENITH INTERNATIONAL BANK PLC

Note: The fund to invest on stocks should be saved monthly and invested at the end of the year.

4. Forex Trading: FX trading is not everybody’s stuff like the stocks. I have spent more than 7 years in this market and I think it is not really a get rich quick scheme as many suppose it. I am shocked sometimes by people that says 100% return is impossible with the market. Sincerely speaking, it is very obtainable. My junior colleague makes about 127% monthly. You can speak with him with this number 08033622092. Though he makes this kind of return monthly, our target as passive (leisure) traders is 10-25% monthly as we are more concern about preserving our fund using very low risk strategy. Again, because of the huge and conflicting information published every where on the web about the Forex market, many have seen it almost impossible to make something out of FX trading. FX trading is definitely going to be a problem with Nigerians because of the greed factor hampered by poverty and the rush to get rich quick. My reason for adding Forex trading is to help you also develop more funds monthly for your savings account. I recommend only passive trading at leisure hours with also very passive trading style. Forget about those FX fancy terminology, just keep it simple and with very low risk. I will talk about how you can trade the FX market as a passive investor through this thread on this Forum.

……………………………………………………………………………………………
Conclusively, all you need to do is set up this structure of e-commerce, ebusiness, stocks trading, saving history and passive commission earnings strategy for 2007. Please send your post here on this forum for any clarification and guidance. Please pay close attention to all that I have just posted here, because it was the structure I use in growing my own wealth.
