The way we Nigerians respond to issues atimes baffles me, the issue of fani kayode telling us stories of how IBB helped OBJ in the past by foiling a coup plot and helping him become president in 1999 is totally out of place and unneccessary because in the first instance what IBB did by foiling DIMKA'S coup was totally his duty as an army officer loyal to the Government of the day so he wasn't doing OBJ any favour, he was doing his job and nothing more.

Then secondly the issue of fani-kayode saying that IBB financied, sponsored and installed OBJ as president in 1999 as such OBJ should be grateful to him and be his errand boy who he can insult any time he likes doesn't not hold water because IBB did OBJ that favour for the following reasons:

IBB sponsored OBJ in 1999 simply because of the june 12 annullment he masterminded that led to the death of MKO Abiola, IBB wanted to clean up   the mess he created by the annullment of june 12, so he wanted to use a yoruba man  he thinks he can easily manipulated and have his way with, so he  picked OBJ simply because he felt he could have his way with OBJ and be able to cover his tracks.

2.  IBB never wanted to live the seat of power, the june 12 annullment crisis was what forced him out because he sensed that Nigeria could break  up if he remained there, so that explains why he quickly and suddenly left unplanned and said that he is just "stepping aside" meaning that he will be back again sometime later.

In other to actuallize his last statement of just steping aside, IBB now sponsored OBJ in 1999 so that when OBJ is through with his tenure, OBJ will hand over to him (IBB). its not like maybe IBB liked OBJ so much that made him sponsor OBJ in 1999, he only sponsored him simply because he felt OBJ is a dummy he can easily manipulate and have his way with but unfortunately for him OBJ has proven it to him(IBB) that he is not a man he can take for granted or manipulate at will.

SO by and large, Nigerians are happy with what OBJ did because it is the right thing to do by any right thinking Nigerian who has the love of Nigeria at heart so let the fani kayode's keeping quiet and stop spitting out nonsense from their mouth because as far as Nigerians are concerned, OBJ owes IBB no appology.

Morover the money IBB used in sponsoring OBJ belongs to the task payers of Nigeria which he(IBB) looted with the barrell of the gun, then concerning the issue of insults, IBB first started it and i like the way OBJ replied him because that IBB doesn't have respect for his superiors because if he does, he wasn't supposed to come out in public and be criticizing his superior that way.

Going by Military ranking OBJ is IBB's senior then going by age, OBJ is older than IBB. so had it been IBB has respect for his superiors he wouldn't have started that public criticism of OBJ. so the way OBJ replied him is the best thing anyone would have done, because if he had kept quiet, Nigerians will say that its because he is guilty that made him not to reply, so OBJ took the right step in the right direction.

Am not making this comment in order to take side with OBJ or maybe that am a hater of IBB, far from that, am only been objective and impartial and calling a spade, spade.
