This is a good riddance. From some comments on here, it shows how average nigerian reasons. We' ve blindfolded ourselves with sentiments and lies, we can't see the truth again. Though, we are all looking forward for the success of this administration but we should stop spreading lies. The little improvement in power we are having now is the fruit of immediate past administration. Let us not forget the last presidential campaign in which GEJ was accused of commissioning fake power projects (omotoso, olorunsogo & co) but replied the critics that they will soon reflect on our grids. Also, in the rainy seasons, hydrostations ought to be operating at their peak and fullest that is factual. When GMB was asked about his agenda for the power sector he said he will go to the drawing board to draft his policy. Till now, no power minister.I'm neither a fan of GEJ nor GMB, all I need is a better nigeria. This should be a working season for Buhari, not of propaganda or riding on fake glory proclaimed by the sycophants. 1 Like |

APC = FALSEHOOD. I can now figured out their evil plan, very desperate to the extent of extracting pictures from old calendars( both dead people and the living) and giving them names. This happened in my hometown in kwara state, because they had fewer registrants and people were mocking them. Not knowing that they had planB, it was later they saw them taking pictures from calendars....Haba. And we later heard that, they did the same throughout the state(kwara). With the DSS revelation now, I can really understand the change they are yearning. Like kwara state with about 500,000 eligible voters and APC having registered over 400,000 fake members with their tactics across the state. After loosing the election they will use this fake registrants as a proof that the election was rigged, then resort into violence as promised by GMB. We shall see..... |

These people are hypocrites and irresponsible. Does this has anything to do with denial of your faith, why didn't you see any crime with arabic inscriptions on other notes or does nigerian christian have anything to do with arabs. When it comes to the like this you will be shouting but on bokoharam you be on silence. Bigots.. 4 Likes |

Why are some still wallowing in hypocrisy. Imagine, owing corpers thier allowances that ought to have been paid over a year now and some anti- people's congress fans still find no fault in not paying it. Trying to justify his deeds, that it is not compulsory. What of other states that are paying? Or were you blindfolded because he is an APC governor? Pls, don't be too sentimental to make a reasonable comment. Thief will always be a thief, corruption will never cease from been corruption irrespective of party affiliation i.e PDP or APC. Nigerians let us grow up. 2 Likes |

Abuja (AFP) - Nigeria on Wednesday accused South Africa of blocking a legal arms purchase and threatened retaliation against major South African companies, including telecom giant MTN, if the spat is not resolved. A top official in the office of Nigeria's National Security Advisor (NSA) told AFP that the country had an agreement to buy $5.7 million (4.5 million euros) worth of military hardware in a deal brokered by a South African firm. The official, who asked that his name be withheld, said Pretoria had frozen cash that had been wired to the South African firm's account. South Africa's National Prosecuting Authority made no immediate comment, but the asset freeze has been widely reported in both Nigerian and South African media. "The issue could affect bilateral relations between Nigeria and South Africa," the NSA official said. He specifically mentioned MTN -- a South Africa-based mobile phone and Internet provider with tens of millions of subscribers in Nigeria -- as a company that could be targeted in tit-for-tat reprisals. You cannot be making so much money from Nigeria and then turn around and embarrass the people," the Nigerian official said. He said Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan had called his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma to inform him about the purchase and Abuja was therefore surprised to learn that the deal had been blocked. Zuma's spokesman Mac Maharaj declined to comment on the reported conversation between the two leaders, but told AFP the president was not part of the committee that reviews arms deals. The NSA official did not identify the South African broker. The website of South Africa's City Press named the firm as the Cape Town-based Cerberus Risk Solutions but that could not be independently verified. The development comes three weeks after South African customs officials seized $9.3 million in cash stashed in the luggage of two Nigerians and an Israeli. South Africa's prosecution authority said there was evidence indicating those funds were intended to purchase armaments to be used in Nigeria. The Nigerian security official declined to comment on whether the cash found in the plane last month was part of a weapons purchase, but insisted the $5.7 million deal frozen by South Africa was a legal arms transaction "through a bank". Nigerian lawmakers last month approved a request from Jonathan for a loan of more than $1 billion to fight Boko Haram extremists. Analysts saw the president's request as a tacit acknowledgement that the military is overmatched against the Islamists, who are thought to control more than two dozen towns and villages in the embattled northeast. Troops have refused to deploy for offensives against the insurgents, citing a lack of proper equipment.'Blocked' from weapons market. The NSA official said Nigeria would prefer to buy armaments directly from major Western manufacturers, but that multiple trades had been vetoed by the governments involved. "Everywhere we go to purchase arms they block us... We approached the United States to buy helicopters but they categorically said 'no'. They said we have no pilots," the NSA official said.He said Nigeria would not need to go through middlemen if the United States agreed to sell to it directly. A State Department official, asked whether the US had rejected Nigerian attempts to buy weapons on the open market, told AFP that Washington reviews "all potential arms transfers for their consistency with US policy and interests." He declined however to comment on any specific cases. Nigeria is nominally considered a US ally and American oil giants ExxonMobil and Chevron have a significant presence in the country, but relations between Abuja and Washington are thought to have frayed in recent months. The US offered military and logistical support in helping rescue the more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram in April, but experts said the Americans were largely rebuffed by Nigeria's top brass. http://news.yahoo.com/nigeria-threatens-south-africa-over-frozen-weapons-deal-183733760.html |

You're mr. fani-joker, am a yoruba but is that how you want to play your game. May be they should consider you or your acquaintances for the position. However, you're talking as if you and your occultic, power hunger and self centered APC are representing the interest of yorubas. I believed 2015 will judge even in the southwest to the surprise of many nigerians. |

If given the opportunity of divorce compensation, some nigerian ladies will see it as a business opportunity and abuse it like most western girls with zero tolerance are doing right now.Even after cheating on their partners and being caught, they will use this weapon of compensation to get themselves acquited. Though some nigerian men are very bad and can abuse every opportunity to any length by changing women like clothes. So, it only the women that are not guilty that should be given the compensation not the abusers. 1 Like |

Good talk from Afenifere, some nigerians think that all yorubas were blindfolded and gullible not to know the truth about nigeria. Am a yoruba and I will always say it that, Obasanjo is one of the enemies of this country, a wolf always pretending to be a sheep as depicted by his past actions. Also, Tinubu's APC is not representing the interest of yorubas but his selfish and dubious ambition. However, I imagine why some nigerians are here on nairaland ranting as if coup or APC ( another sets of greedy and self centered politicians ready to attain power by all means) is the solution to the nigeria problems. All we need to do is to change our mindset and be positive and optimistic because these people works on the principle of divide and rule either through religion or ethnicity. Coup will only leads to second civil war, we're not in 1967 and not in egypt too. These people we're talking abouts are all thieves from GEJ,OBJ,Tinubu to Babangida and co. So wake up! 1 Like |

PDP has not really done much since 1999 but some people were blindfolded to think that all about is GEJ forgetting about the past government. But he too hasn't perform to the expectation, as he recorded success in some area and failure in some parts. As I've said, the problem is not about GEJ alone, also, we need to change our mindset, we are too gullible to be carried away by the politics of divide and rule .Back to APC, their statement against NC isn't new, they always politicized everything that will benefit the nation. Finally, nobody really wants them for they are not representing the interest of yorubas as some tribes believed. APC, the chameleon party who keep changing names. Corrupt set of wolves claiming to be sheep that have looted everything at their disposal and wants to attain power by every means even at the expense of peace and unity of our DEAR COUNTRY is quite different from AFENIFERE that we knew to defend the interest of yorubas. 2 Likes |

so amaechi has now turned ''coward'' before a ''clueless'' president as they do say. He is no more interested in any political post again after he has been deceived by the APC hypocrites and he's now shouting of exposing some people, though we are looking forward for his confession. But it's now obvious that he is a COWARD and CLUELESS as well. what a pity..... |

Satan on the Altar,Fire in the load, It seems the pastor really wanted to make a name but sooner or later these terrors will catch up with him because they will use this advantage as a medium to carryout their mission as obliged by their teachings through cutlass, sword, bomb and so on. I don't know whats really wrong with that priest and is just like inviting satan(terror or wolf disguising to be a sheep) into the fold. These terrors always preach peace by mouth but beneath is ''violence'' and we all know this saying''action is louder than voice''. You don't need to say you are peaceful before they know it and the bible says '' by their fruits we shall know them''. This is a sign of end time. |

Let us see where their friendship will lead them, we all remembered how they betray Atiku in 2007, Ribadu 2011 so may Buhari is the next victim. |
