Its not only Dangote

the Cement Sector in general

Competitive industry analysis wise the Sector is just entering into the same cycle that the Brewery sector is half way gone (though causative factor might differs)

The sector is moving gradually away from being a price giver to a price taker

Efficiency and Muscle wld matter more as we go forward

those in BUA / Wapco shld take note however Dangote situation cld have been worsen by the goverment hell bent on ending loophole in the country tax system (e.g. Pioneer Tax)

This is why the safest buy IF YOU MUST BUY is WAPCO.
Coming from a very bad position, the share price is the safest.

I'm suspecting a higher dividend payout from UBA too. From the precedent of UCAP & Afriprud, it appears Boss Tony needs some cash.

I'm seeing something that may look like a trend(not certain yet) of the indigenous big boys of the banks divesting. Are they seeing better opportunities elsewhere?

Whenever brokers want to trap people, it is the market of the last 15mins...... grin cheesy grin
I remember following my friend to a local market, he decided to join other traders in a bar nearby.
They dinned and wined, chatting all through, keeping an eye on the flow of market women, occasionally they will go out and offer very bad prices and wont even bother to continue with the bargain, return and continue drinking, clinging tightly to their cash.
When the sun began to bite hard, some bold market women started collecting food on credit, promising to pay back when they sell, meanwhile, more market women poured into the market.
I kept asking my friend when he is going to start buying, he kept telling me to wait until the food sellers start worrying the market women who collected food on credit to pay........................................ grin

You are interpreting the market from your biased position.
What if uba pays less than expected dividend.
Zenith dividend yield was above 10% and the price is still going down.
What do you think will happen if uba final dividend yield is less than 10%.

Zenith bank is not stock for jijosm, it's a stock for investors who know what and why they are buying. I will advise you to have two account with two or one stockbroker. Keep one for investment and use the other for jijo business, if at all you can't do without jijo.

Keep on investing certain amount of money monthly in both account as your strength can carry you irrespective of bear or bull. For example you can start with #20,000 for investment account and #20,000 into jijo account at every first week or last week of every month.

For investment account always buy sound fundamental stocks with yearly history of dividend payment, don't touch it. Then for jijo account, you can buy any stocks of your choice and sell whenever you wishes.

Do that for at least five years, and see the outcome and call the result.

I promise you, the JIJO ACCOUNT will HACK the INVESTMENT ACCOUNT in less than a year and LOOT everything over...... grin grin grin
