Politics / Re: Gov. Al Makura Failed To Pay Salaries After Receiving N150billion Allocations by Dollarman101: 8:33pm On Aug 25, 2015
Arobam:
Our attention has been drawn to an advertorial placed in several newspapers by Governor Tanko Al Makura's agents masquerading as "Nassarawa Citizens for Peace" but who actually operate within the confines of the Governor's office in Lafia. The adverts were fully sponsored and paid by Governor Al Makura who has failed to pay workers salaries for months despite receiving over N150billlion as allocations and the recent bail out intervention by President Buhari.

It is not surprising that these serial attacks on Maku are coming at a time when the massive fraud that characterized the April 2015 elections are being exposed at the ongoing election petition Tribunal in Lafia, Nassarawa State

In the said advertorial, the paid hirelings drew up some questions for Labaran Maku. Although most of the questions are puerile, senseless, and mischievous, we deem it fit to set the record straight so that the unsuspecting public will not be misled. We hereby respond to the questions asked serially.

1. jWHO IS BEHIND OMBATSE?

Ans: Tanko Almakura is the founder, financier and beneficiary of Ombatse. They(Ombatse) said this to the whole world at the Judicial panel set up by Almakura. They presented cheaques showing Almakura's financial sponsorship of the group.
Ombatse were Almakura's personal security guards during 2011 election. They also provided security during Almakura's inauguration in 2011.

2. What was Maku's role in the killing of security operatives by Ombatse?

Ans: It's lame and laughable to ask this question given the fact that Maku was not the chief security of the state. Governor Al Makura was the one who presided over the state as chief security officer. He should know better.

3. Who is shielding Ombatse from prosecution?
Ans: Ask Governor Tanko Almakura.

SOURCE: http://www.thebreakingtimes.com/al-makura-failed-to-pay-salaries-after-receiving-n150-billlion-allocation-group

So Al Makura is the one behind Ombatse after all. Nigerian politicians. They will go behind and sponsor while saying a different thing on TV.

I don't know about the water dams but I sure do know that he fulfilled his promise to repair so many federal roads in Nigeria.
In power, he may not have achieved stable power but he has delivered on the NIPP Plants

Mekusnwa:

Apart from the remodelled Enugu Airport, GEJ completed the Owerri-Onitsha which OBJ abandoned in 2006.
GEJ has also remodelled the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri.
GEJ has completed construction of Alaoji power station in Aba and will soon commission it.
GEJ has rehabilitated some bad portions of the Enugu-Ph road(especially the Aba-Umuahia axis) and just recently awarded the total reconstruction of that road.
GEJ has been working and rehabilitating the railways from Port Harcourt to Enugu. Passenger services is set to commence soon.
GEJ has built a new federal university in Afikpo, EBonyi State.
GEJ has finished and completed the Onitsha ports which is awaiting concessioning.
GEJ has engaged PPP to deliver on the long awaited 2nd Niger Bridge.

GEJ has done excellently well in the south East and we will vote for him in 2015

grin cheesy grin cheesy Ngige and APC needs to read this to see why they lost woefully in the Anambra Elections.
They will still loose again in 2015. That's the stark reality

Mr Op, I commend your efforts to compile this long list of President Jonathan's achievements and post on Nairaland.
However, I'm afraid that it may not cut ice with a group of people who have vowed to hate the President for nothing.
I will be shocked it it generates sufficient comments that will take it to the front page. This is so because if they see that your facts are incontrovertible, they will avoid it like a plague and proceed to one that bashes GEJ and suits their fancy.

Reptyle:

So even if your armed robber has ideas that will help you reduce the level of armed robbery in your neighborhood, you would ignore it because you are worried about whether he is altruistic or not abi? i am not under any illusion that Obasanjo is a saint! He probably should have done much more as a president than he achieved. However, that still doesn't negate the fact that he raised some burning issues affecting our present and having the capacity to negatively impact our future.

President Jonathan is performing way below expectation and his anti-corruption credentials are suspect.

Jonathan has performed far more than OBJ in every department of governance. Power reforms, Jonathan has finished building over 10 NIPP Power plants and PRIVATISED PHCN. The results will start materializing soon. GEJ has revived rail transport in Nigeria. Lagos-Kano now runs regularly. They were bad under OBJ. GEJ has worked on so many roads more than OBJ. starting from OBJ's backyard, GEJ is working on Apapa-Oshodi, Ibadan-Lagos, Benin-Ore. OBJ didn't touch these roads. All the Airports now have a better look than they were under Obasanjo. Agricutural sector is witnessing serious transformation under Adeshina.

Obj is just a class clown.

This is the best news I have had all day. What kind of rubbish is this? ASUU has been playing politics with the future of Nigerian students.
President Jonathan set aside other business to discuss with ASUU for 13 hours and they reached an agreement that looked very reasonable yet Fagge went to conduct elections across Nigeria.

That nothwitstanding, 60% voted for call off of the strike yet FAGGE & co wouldn't listen.
What are they upto?

Abagworo: The truth is that Nigeria has been losing a lot of money to illegal bunkering which infact has the blessings of highly placed Nigerians like Ministers and executives. Nigeria has not been meeting up to the budget benchmark and instead of FG to come clean, they've been supplementing from the excess crude account. Amaechi is perfectly right because they've not even been receiving as much as they projected even though oil prices remain high.

Amaech is right for lying that funds are missing meanwhile he is the looter of the so called money? What are you trying to say? Are you for real?

Mekusnwa: Gov Rotimi Amaechi thinks Nigerians are suffering from amnesia and cannot remember events properly.
I personally remember that in January 2013 Rotimi Amaechi led other Governors to demand for the release of $1B dollars from the excess crude account. According to the Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, the Governors have been drawing from the excess crude account to shore up revenue shortfalls.
There is also documentary evidence suggestive that Rivers alone has received over N56b within 8 months from excess crude account.
After all these withdrawals in his favour, Gov Rotimi Amaechi still went ahead to declare $5 B missing. What kind of hypocrisy is that?

grin grin Oga Amaechi dey crase shaa. After choping all the money inside the account, he cleaned his mouth and came out to raise a false alarm that the money was missing. That's a new corruption alibi. grin

wiseguy: So because fg released the statement we automatically believe it to be true. Not just Amaechi, most govs have in recent times queried the state of our economy and accrued revenue.
We need to ask some questions:
1. Why is there a shortfall when oil revenue has not gone below the budgeted benchmark?
2. Are the states aware that the amount being disbursed is from the ECA?

The facts contained there in are cogent and verifiable. Even Amaechi cannot deny it. The disbursements are properly documented.

You keep forgetting that it was GEJ who brokered the agreement in 2009. Why os he saying the agreement he signed himself cannot be implemented?

It wasn't GEJ that signed the 2009 agreement. He was vice president in 2009 and couldn't have midwifed that unrealistic agreement.
That notwithstanding, he has reached out to ASUU to discuss it. So what else does ASUU want??
Politics / Re: Suswam: ASUU Wants To Bring Down Jonathan’s Government by Dollarman101: 10:45am On Nov 09, 2013
I agree with SUSWAM on this one. ASUU is playing politics with this ASUU strike.
The problems in our educational system didn't not start under Jonathan. The 2009 Agreement preceded his tenure as President.
Yet he has committed money to solving it more than any other president in our history.
Since this strike began, govt has been in talks with ASUU through several negotiation teams. they have offered ASUU 100 billion for infrastructure and 30 Billion for earned allowances yet ASUU is adamant. Which other administration in Nigeria has coughed out this much to give to ASUU?

saintdeby: nigeria is a useless country

Keep quiet there! What do you know about useless? This is a democracy and it's customary in a democracy for issues like this to come up.
The issue here is simple, a lawmaker wants to bar the president from presenting his budget 2014. Others argued against it. The House was sharply divided and the ayes had it. What problems do you have with that?

Most recently, we saw the US govt shut down over disagreements in congress and House of reps over OBAMACARE.
So what makes Nigeria's case worse?

Bukkyade: Last antics of a drowning union. They must find a string to clutch unto. It's that simple. I have seen a PHCN staff that was settled. He lives four houses away from mine. He told me that he got an alert from SIGMA in his RSA. That is why I believe Governments account that it's only workers without proof of appoinment letters that are yet to be paid.

grin I know how this thing works. Most of these PHCN workers came in through the back door without any proper documentation and appointment letter. The govt of the day at that time just packed them in to share from the largesse that accrued to PHCN from FG's purse.

The carnival is over. And the hen has come home to roost. GEJ must complete this privatisation and no bagger can stop him.

Jonathan's corruption(if any, because all I see it's propaganda) dey learn work for where former presidents dey.
At least, GEJ appointed a minister of Petroluem who answers to national Assembly regularly but OBJ was himself the Petroluem Minister.
Obj as president cornered all the oil deals and dished out oil blocks to his cronies.
