Now i have learn to Google my symptoms before going to the hospital so i have an idea wat am dealing with and can even make suggestions to the doc. they sometimes don't like it but its my healthhh. sometimes u better off with a good pharmacist i tell u .

Am Just Laughing seeing this. Mothers just love to worry. My child was exactly same way now i cant get him to shut up at less than 3. dont compare your child to any other cos every kid develops differently n girls develop faster than boys. what i did was order educational dvds that teach kids their first words and downloaded alot of word apps on my Ipad. u might also consider getting him in playgroups at sch even if just for a few hours as kids learn fast wen with other kids. will even gives u more time for your daughter n time to rest.u cant know for sure till he is like 3. also join babycenter.com so u can hear from other moms it really helped reassure me.now i have a talkative n soon i would too so enjoy this phase.cheers.
Family / Re: We The Mothers Of This Country Place A Curse On The Land Of Aluu by ebonyjoy1(f): 12:20pm On Oct 11, 2012
Such Sad Story Indeed. I watched the video half way and cried. few days later i watched the whole thing just to give me a permanent reminder that the heart of man is truly wicked.cos i never believe such stories. i use to love to see only the good in people but now i know better.its sad cos what happened to those boys can happen to anyone.I honestly vowed that day that i must find my way out of this country cos in countries like the UK n USA d police are just a phone call away.My heart goes out to the mothers cos i have a son and cant even imagine how i will live if anything befalls him. like Chidika mom said in this country we are just at the mercy of God alone.our government n police cant protect us.Instead of cursing i pray that God Should Protect Our Children. They Will Not Die Young & We as mothers will not bury our young.I also pray for justice for the Boys and God should Console the families. AMEN

My take on this whole thing is that any woman who is 40 and above should consider having a child. if it were abroard you could go to a sperm bank. :I dont Judge people but i feel life is too short to let society dictact how you should live it. and lets face it WHAT HAS SOCIETY REALLY DONE FOR US. Kudos to single mom they are brave and choose to live their life damning all concenquences to do what makes em happy.

Your Children will be your pride and joy

Any body who has good analytical skills will figure out that Nigeria is at the edge of disintegration. What level of hatred is against the North fron the South. A situation where by the CPC candidate cannot get even 5% of the southern votes while winning about 80% of his nothern ppl is alarming. My advice to the North is to seek autonomy and build our self. Is better we stay for 10 -20yrs with no oil and find a sustainable way for our selves than to be in this type of situation. What have we done to them to deserve this hatred - is it based on religion, ethnicity or what? I am very very discourage with the way they treated us. If GMB was a bad candidate say like Atiku I wont mind. But someone that everybody knows that he can take this nation to the promise land but due to sentiments they turned their back and voted for uncertainty. Sorry friends from the south on this page we love you and he do appreciate your courageous support. My statement doesnt cut accross all but majority fall under this.

Nairaland / General / Re: ~ How Do You React To Criticism? ~ by ebonyjoy1(f): 12:28pm On Oct 15, 2009
My reaction 2 criticism will depend on : how its passed on 40%, by who 20%, motive 20% , my mood 20%.
cos i ve found dat some people mostly women criticize when u dont conform to their personal beliefs or ideas. in dat case i just smile n delete it from memory
from my family n better half i listen n try 2 work on it
from boss i listen n work on it wit appraisal in mind.
from friends i listen n ignor

but my advice 2 any1 lookin 2 critisize me is package it properly n gag my mood. n make sure u ve removed d IROKO from ur eye be4 u try 2 remove d PECK of wood from my eye.

Travel / Re: Why Do People Back Home Think Money Grows On Trees Abroad? by ebonyjoy1(f): 11:57am On Oct 15, 2009
I have lived in the UK,US n then decided 2 come back 2 nigeria where i am doing better career n financial wise. i dont know wat kind of family u ve or wat kind of impression u ve given them but my family was really understandin n never made any demands n joyfully accepted wat i had 2 sent home as gifts.

truth is like others ve said. most Nigerians abroad live false lives n go back home 2 tell false tales wen we know dat 80% of them do menia jobs ranging from watchmen, cleaners, stayin in club toilets, care etc to survive. jobs they will never do back home. i mean NEVER.

also people need 2 understand that 95.5% of those based abroad r livin by credit. morgages etc. if they do they wont look at a house n cars been paid 4 over 30yrs n think people abroad r doing well.

my advice 2 those abroad is u should be able to explain 2 ur family n pals d true situation of things. wen u come home dont just tell d good stories tell of how u ate noddles 4 a week, how u slept in train stations lol. how u work 2 or 3 jobs. how u live in just a room in d big house they saw in ur pic. then n only then u will see a change.

my advice 2 those at home always makin demand. TRAVEL N SEE.
NYSC / Re: Family Of Slain Corps Member Rejects N2m by ebonyjoy1(f): 11:23am On Oct 15, 2009
[color=#000099][left]First off, i think its best NYSC stop sending corpers to the north. until they can gaurantee d safety of corpers sent 2 them. i served in Ogun state n we were treated like special guest because they saw us as coming to improve the town,
My sis served in Bauchi n almost got killed in a riot when their house got burnt down. i ve a friend who served in d north n lost a leg another the use of his right hand.
its sad when u think of the innocent lives n d stress they went tru in d university with all d strikes n all. then to end up in this sad way.

Secondly, i do pray 4 d family n feel their loss cos death is a terrible thing no matter how it comes. i feel they should take the money n donate to a charitable cause (not church) becos we all know in dis present nigeria the case may never be solved.

May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
