Thank you so much for your comment. Yes we do have the birth certificates of both kids. Having our names on it as parents. We also have previous photos to back it up.

I have a BSC in Computer Science and currently working as a Desktop Support Engineer in an IT company.

I do have my mother, two siblings and 2 kids from my previous marriage in Nigeria. I also have the birth certificates of the two kids.
Uzomachukwu:

1. You can sponsor yourself, if you have the money.

2. Your fiance could also act as your sponsor, if he has the financial capacity, in which case you guys will need to provide documented evidence (photos, affidavit, letters from persons who know you, and (if obtainable) birth registration of your kids showing the names of you two as the parents, etc) to prove you're living together as common-law partners.

Not having landed properties back home is not a requirement for study permit application. But the question is, how well rooted and established are you guys here in South Africa? Do you have families back in Nigeria? What line of work are you two into, is it the kind of business or work which you could argue is easily relocatable after your studies in Canada? In the final analysis, your ability to establish ties to home country will boil down to your plans after your studies, your current financial situation, and whether you have family there in Nigeria?

Hello Nairalanders,

I am a Nigerian, live and work in South Africa and I just received a letter of acceptance from Cambrian College to study PROJECT MANAGEMENT - GRADUATE CERTIFICATE (PMPD) for 2 semesters.

Start Date: January 10, 2022

My questions are:

1. Can I sponsor myself?
2. Can my fiancee sponsor me as we have two kids together?

What are my chances of getting approved study visa as I do not have a landed property back home in Nigeria in my name.

Every comment, contribution and advise would be appreciated.

Come here to South Africa especially Mpumalanga and Limpopo province where i used to work, you will see thousands and thousands of ugly ladies with very bad body odour too.
MizMyColi:
I am yet to see a South African woman who doesn't look good.
South African women are so beautiful.

I love the way their ebony and black colours sit on them.

Even those who are overweight have this beauty and aura that they ooze.

I think of them as real Africans, extremely proud of their roots.

Career / Re: Can A Soldier Resign From The Force? by ed2gbi(m): 7:15pm On Jan 07, 2018
I served in the Nigerian army for 10 yrs and 9 months. I resigned because my unit commander was against me taking a study leave unless I am sponsored by the army. I could afford to sponsor myself because getting a sponsorship from the hq never comes easy.

I was an ambitious young and energetic soldier.

So yes, hearing from a first hand person like me it is POSSIBLE.

Microwave with a bowl on it.

That bowl is an accessory used in the microwave to cover whatever is being microwaved, so as to contain splashes.

This is uncalled for. The government of South Africa did not inflict the damages on the victims. How much did the South African government demand from Nigeria when 84 South African citizens were killed in collapsed building in Nigeria. This is wrong and will go further to dent our name as a country!

Politics / Re: Nigerian Military Condemns CNN For Their Biased Report On Their Interview by ed2gbi(m): 6:34am On Jan 16, 2015
I strongly agree with the soldiers. There is 100% of truth in what they said. I served in the Nigerian army for 8years and 6 months. So speaking from experience, soldiers buy their own kits from the ordinance unit of the army. Sometimes we buy from other soldiers of other countries during joint operations. Soldiers get issued with basic kits like uniforms, belts, berets, boots (1 pair each) once in 3-4 years. We paid for our own medical bills even though we we and our families were supposed to have access to free medical treatments. It is a shame but the truth is bitter.
okoro4:
After CNN aired an interview some hours ago with people alleged to be Nigerian soldiers who told them that Nigerian soldiers are buying their own
kits to fight Boko Haram and take care of themselves when they sustain injuries during their course of defence of the country, the Nigerian army has blasted CNN for the interview and even described it as a 'Satanic' report.
