I have watched these in last couple of days:

Birdman, Whiplash, Foxcatcher, Mockingjay Part 1, Top Five, Imitation Game.

My favourite was 'Birdman', the Best Picture winner. I love this movie and I've rewatched it at least 4 times already. It's a unique dark comedy and plays like a filmed stage drama. The performances are top notch and the ensemble work is admirable.

'Whiplash' is a close second. Very interesting movie...full of tension as the story of a young man that wants to be the best at drumming is pushed into the extremes by a psychopathic music director unfolds.

Foxcatcher is the 'darkest' of the movies. Feeling of tension and unease throughout the movie...and Steve Carrell did a solid job as the psychopathic Du Pont.

I have not yet watched Birdman. And, now i am going to watch it since many people recommend me watch it.

I am watching Big Hero 6 (I love the lovely Baymax) and Guardians of the Galaxy (the music is great).

What are you guys watching now? I think that all Oscar movies deserve watching. I am going to find the Oscar movies of 2015 for enjoying.

I am having a tough decision here...I'm currently using the Galaxy S5. It's been a decent phone, definitely enjoy the freedom, but over time now, I have felt it almost wanting to slow down, or even have slower loading times.

I have been noticing the Galaxy S6, after being announced, seemed that it may help fix a lot of these issues, but at the same time, I do remember iOS still being pretty strong as well.

I have also read some reviews on iPhone 6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S6, and think that Samsung Galaxy S6 is better to buy.

Apple products don't care much about ram size for example my Samsung note 10.1 has 3gig ram but ipad air with 1gig ram is more stable

The Galaxy S6 is a great-looking phone with great specs -- but is it really an iPhone 6 killer? I've got specs and details. (Note that I'm comparing the non-curved version of the S6 to the iPhone 6, not the iPhone 6 Plus.)

Screen
The nod goes here clearly goes to the S6. It's got a 5.1-inch screen compared to the iPhone's 4.7-inch one. And it wins on resolution as well, 2560 x 1440 at 576 ppi, versus 1334 x 750 at 326 ppi for the iPhone 6.

Processor
The S6 is powered by an Exynos 7 series quad 2.1GHz chip plus a quad 1.5Ghz, Octacore application processor. The iPhone 6, meanwhile, has an A8 64-bit chip. There's no real way to do a head-to-head comparison on this one, so we'll call it a tossup.

RAM
There's no doubt who wins this one --- the S6. It's got 3 GB of RAM versus 1 GB for the iPhone 6. More is better.


Storage
The S6 has the slightest of edges here. Its three models have 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB of storage, versus 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB for the iPhone 6. So the lowest-price model of the S6 beats out the lowest-priced model of the iPhone 6. You also get 115GB of free Microsoft OneDrive storage for two years with it.

Camera
The S6 is the winner here --- a 5-megapixel front-facing camera on the front and a 16-megapixel back-facing one. The iPhone 6 has a 1.2 megapixel front-facing one, and an 8-megapixel backfacing one.

Design
For the Galaxy S6, say good-bye to plastic -- it's now all glass and metal, designed beautifully. In fact, it has a look you've seen before -- it resembles the iPhone 6. Both are well-designed, slick-looking phones. This one is a tossup.

SOFTWARE
The S6 has Android 5.0 Lollipop at its core, and has lightened up on its TouchWiz interface, even though some people might still find it too busy. The iPhone, of course, has iOS. Android is more customizable; iOS is simpler. Take your pick. At the same time, iTunes can be installed on iPhone, so that iPhone 6 can watch iTunes DRM-ed freely, while Samsung Galaxy S6 cannot directly play iTunes videos. Birdman won Best Picture on Saturday at both the Producers Guild Awards (PGAs) and the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG), much to the surprise of everyone who swore that “Boyhood” would be a shoo-in. Furthermore, the past seven PGA Best Picture winners went on to grab the Oscar.

“Birdman” not only introduces a revolutionary, one-of-a-kind filmography technique in the same vein as “Boyhood,” but “Birdman” also has a great cast, a fantastic script and nine Academy Award nominations, as opposed to “Boyhood’s” five.

One of the biggest arguments in “Boyhood’s” favor is the insane efforts the cast and crew made for this movie. Filming a movie over the course of 12 years is an outstanding achievement that absolutely deserves recognition, but that alone does not warrant “Boyhood” the title of Best Picture. While “Boyhood” focused on being expansive, “Birdman” focused on the intimate details to create a film that looks like it was filmed in a single shot. It’s amazing an, honestly, a bit underrated by mainstream press.

Speaking of underrated, if I had any idea what Birdman was actually about before I had seen it, I probably would have ignored the film entirely. Based on the movie posters and Michael Keaton’s age, I honestly thought it was going to be about Keaton’s return to the realm of superheroes, a la “The Dark Knight Returns.” Boy, was I wrong. Keaton plays a washed out, ex-superhero actor who puts everything he has into a Broadway play that he is writing, directing and starring in. “Birdman” is a film about making films, the role of critics, life after the big role and simply the bigger picture. Michael Keaton also experiences a number of hallucinations involving flying, explosions and telekinesis, which alone are worth the price of admission.

A solid story cannot stand on its own though, which is why the excellent cast of “Birdman” is so vital to its Best Picture run. Who better to play the role of an old superhero star than Michael Keaton, aka Batman himself? Add to this the fact that Keaton’s co-stars Edward Norton and Emma Stone have also been indispensable elements of solid superhero movies and incredible chemistry ensues. As great as all of these actors were in their previous works, the daring roles that they took for “Birdman” were far out of their comfort zone, and they all were magnificent.

Despite the overwhelming belief I have in “Birdman,” no one really knows what’s going to happen at the Oscars. “The Grand Budapest Hotel” also pulled off nine nominations but for some reason is totally out of the conversation on most of the web, probably because it has not fared well at the shows leading up to the Academy Awards. Moreover, I still haven’t looked into “Whiplash,” “The Imitation Game” or “The Theory of Everything,” so any one of those could very well be the best movie on the list. Probably not though, because “Birdman” absolutely soared.
