Family / Re: Here Are 4 Essential Things A Man Must Possess Before Marriage. by ehiabj(f): 3:22pm On Sep 28, 2021
Larrysung:
Marriage is a phase in a man’s life that comes with a lot of responsibilities and commitment. According to research and recommendations from relationship experts and psychologists, it was revealed that before a man becomes married; it's a necessity that he, first possess certain traits and materials which are essential for the success and continuity of the relationship.

Regarding this article; we shall be examining some of those traits or things a man is supposed to have before considering marriage. Below are some of them.

1. Emotional and mental maturity.

Mental and emotional maturity is a necessary prerequisite that is needed for the smooth running of the union. As a man who intends to get married, you should first ask yourself; if you are capable and ready for the challenges and hurdles marriage brings. As you might know – marriage goes beyond love and mutual feelings, it embraces the whole idea of adjusting to your partner’s terms and exhibiting the desired virtues that will make your relationship a smooth one.

2. A job or steady source of income.

Yes, I know you love her and you are sincere about it; but do you have a job? The continuity of any marriage is not only rooted in love and romance, it involves the availability of financial resources which are needed in settling some challenges.
As a man who desires to get married to probably the woman of his dreams; it then becomes important to know that your love can only be effective when there is money. I am not talking about millions of naira – at least something that can settle food bills, clothing, domestic bills and health care.

3. An apartment.

Most men have reportedly married their wives into their family home which isn’t completely bad – but it is better to have your own apartment before getting married. The reason for this can be traced to the idea of maintaining your self-respect and that of your wife’s, and also to accord yourself some marital privacy.

4. Vision and prospect for the marriage.

It might interest you to know that marriage isn’t an end – rather, it is a means to an end. Marrying your partner for the sole purpose of satisfying your sexual urge or pleasure isn’t completely a good reason to marry. As a man who desires to get married, it becomes important you bear in mind that you are bringing somebody’s daughter into your house, as such; you should have a well-drafted and solid plan for her and the marriage as well. In the absence of no vision before marriage - the relationship might perish.

Number 1 is very important and alot of people over look it.

Hey Guys,

Im planning to build a shopping center on one acre of land and have no idea of how many shops can be built on it or what the structures would be, im pretty open to any ideas.

I was referred to a building contractor by a friend.. He gave me these pictures and he said he could be able to build this for 120Million naira
( First two pictures) [img][/img][img][/img]

During the course of our discussion, he also said he could be able to build 9 shops and 1 eatry on the site for 36 Million Naira.

He now sent me the plans of what he's proposing.

I also contacted another reputable construction company, they said they could be able to build 10 - 13 shops on the same land for between 65M - 85M, they've already done some projects for me which im impressed with.

Now im confused, i would be saving a huge amount of money if the building contractor handles it because what he's proposing is way lesser than the big construction company, but im a little bit concerned if he's only trying to scam me as i've never dealt with him before.

I dont know how to attach photos to this site, but the first and second pictures are what he said he could build for 100 Million naira..

The Third and fourth pictures are what he said he can build for 36 Million naira, please who do you think i should trust with this project. Im a Nigerian in abroad, i need to make a decision this week or next.

oluwabigloba:
Good day everyone. Please I need ur advice on this. I am a corp member in Rivers state.
Recently, our water started smelling like dead rat, and we have washed the tank because we noticed some Spirogyra in it. But after the washing, the water is still smelling.
My question is, is it from the borehole or the tank?
Also, what can we do to treat the smell?
Thank you for your advice.

Wash your over head tank, it's possible there is a dead bird inside the overhead water tank.
Nairaland / General / Jesse William's BET Acceptance Speech by ehiabj(f): 9:32pm On Jun 28, 2016
"This award, this is not for me. This is for the real organisers all over the country. The activists, the civil rights attorneys, the struggling parents, the families, the teachers, the students, that are realising that a system built to divide and impoverish and destroy us cannot stand if we do. It's kind of basic mathematics, the more we learn about who we are and how we got here, the more we will mobilise. Now this is also in particular for the black women, in particular, who have spent their lifetimes dedicated to nurturing everyone before themselves. We can and will do better for you.

Now what we've been doing is looking at the data and we know that police somehow manage to de-escalate, disarm and not kill white people every day. So what's going to happen is we are going to have equal rights and justice in our own country or we will restructure their function and ours.

Yesterday would’ve been young Tamir Rice’s 14th birthday, so I don’t want to hear anymore about how far we’ve come when paid public servants can pull a drive-by on a 12-year-old playing alone in a park in broad daylight, killing him on television then going home to make a sandwich. Tell Rekia Boyd how it’s so much better to live in 2012 than 1612 or 1712. Tell that to Eric Garner. Tell that to Sandra Bland. Tell that to Darrien Hunt.

Now the thing is though, all of us in here getting money, that alone isn’t going to stop this. Now dedicating our lives to get money just to give it right back for someone’s brand on our body, when we spent centuries praying with brands on our bodies and now we pray to get paid for brands on our bodies.

There has been no war that we have not fought and died on the front lines of. There has been no job we haven't done, there's been no tax they haven't levied against us, and we've paid all of them. But freedom is somehow always conditional here, 'You’re free,’ they keep telling us, ‘But she would’ve been alive if she hadn’t acted so… free'.

Freedom is always coming in the hereafter, but, you know what though, the hereafter is a hustle. We want it now. And let's get a couple of things straight, just a little sidenote, the burden of the brutalised is not to comfort the bystander. That's not our job, stop with all that. If you have a critique for the resistance, our resistance, then you better have an established record of critique of our oppression. If you have no interest in equal rights for black people than do not make suggestions to those who do. Sit down.

We’ve been floating this country on credit for centuries, and we’re done watching and waiting while this invention called whiteness uses and abuses us, burying black people out of sight and out of mind, while extracting our culture, our dollars, our entertainment like oil, black gold. Ghettoising and demeaning our creations then stealing them, gentrifying our genius and then trying us on like costumes before discarding our bodies like rinds of strange fruit. The thing is, just because we’re magic, doesn’t mean we’re not real.”

I was at the secretariat this morning, I went for an appointment by 9am, due to the manner in which both PDP and APGA supporters beseiged the INEC headquarters which was adjacent the secretariat, there was tension around that vicinity, enough to make any one panic. The said appointment that took me there couldn't happen for fear of the fracas that might ensue when results are declared either in favour of APGA or PDP. I had to leave immediately for my house, and on my way back I saw this group of people heading to the inec headquarter, they were holding placards, and the poster of Alex Otti... and were all chanting "ALL WE ARE SAYING, GIVE US OTTI".......... Singing solidarity songs in favour of Alex Otti. I was able to snap this pics.

And it is so unfortunate that some folks are too blinded by sentiments to realize this. Just look at this Abia for example. It was clear that PDP was the problem. Unfortunately, the state will remain in torture for another 4 years. Smh for them
