Sheer nonsense!

Your previous posts were all about the joys of nepotism, nothing more. Why? because you are obviously a beneficiary of nepotism in real life.

You wrote a lot of garbage earlier about how 'even in employment, biological children of staff members are given priority over others', amongst a lot of other nonsense. In the dimly lit cave you inhabit, the only criterion for success is to be the offspring of a person in authority. undecided

You will never know the joy (or the pain) of striving for a position or a place on your own...and succeeding (or failing) to get it. You will never know it. Why? Because nepotism is your creed. It is your philosophy. It is your religion.

Deal with it.

^^^
cheesy

At least you are no longer coming up with insane, completely mental analogies between the human circulatory system and the raw, unfiltered nepotism you celebrate.

People like you will never understand that the proper thing for Ariwoola Senior to have done would have been to recuse himself. Ariwoola Senior should have recused himself from chairing the NJC panel that recommended Ariwoola junior and those 22 other individuals to be high court judges. That's what forward thinking people with a measure of integrity do. You will never get it because you are incapable of doing so.

Nepotism is not a sustainable strategy for coping with life. It lasts only as long as your father (or mother or whoever your benefactor is) lives. Once their earthly race is run, what happens to you? undecided

Peace.

I’ve said my own. You can continue ranting there.
If you are fortunate enough to get to the position of leadership, deny your children their rightful post if they qualify for it. Foolishness runs in your life and your life is void that is why you write meaningless epistles all the time. I have better things to do with my time than to be responding to foolish rants.

Henceforth you can continue your soliloquies, I won’t respond to the rants of lunacy anymore. Bye

You don't get it...and you never will.
And you will never get it too.

When you are privileged to occupy the position of leadership, use all your might to suppress your children and deny them what they qualify for just because you want to please the world.
At the end of the day you will realize that even if you die for the world, many of them will still blame you for wasting your life.

Peace.
As I said earlier, you can only be seen to be rational in your write up if you can provide evidence that Ariwoola’s was not qualified for the position he got promoted to. If you can’t, then shut the hell up. Peace out ✌🏻

This won't get us anywhere. I genuinely want to know first of all, what the requirements for the job are...and if the son met these requirements - over and above other candidates.

The fact that there is a biological relationship means that any appointment such as this will invite extra scrutiny - and that is the way it should be. This isn't the time to play around with words like you are trying to do.

If Ariwoola's son is the man for the job and his suitability is clear to all, then the matter is settled. If his suitability has not been demonstrated beyond all doubt then we will ask questions - as we should.

^^^
undecided

This is not official policy.

I know this 'oga pikin' syndrome is a thing but the extent varies considerably. Years ago, there was something called the VC's List (plus Dean's List, plus HoD's List etc.) for admissions - until Senate members in some universities said "to hell with that nonsense"! and the admissions list became a lot more meritocratic. There are universities today where it is much, much harder to get admission or employment just because your parents are staff members. There are even some universities today that actually have long term plans for an admissions list that is 100% meritocratic. It will take time but it will happen.

^^^
Well...you can see the results of the 'esprit de corps', 'man know man', 'na where man dey work na there him dey chop' philosophy in our security architecture today. Kidnappers, bandits, killers, terrorists and all sorts of non-state actors have ordinary Nigerians in a chokehold...because we value connections over competence.

The results are clear.

^^^
Terrible analogy! Terrible, terrible non-existent analogy!

Your point would be valid if the heart had its own 'offspring' that it pumps blood to before supplying other organs. If that were true then a case could be made for the children of staff to get preferential treatment. But that isn't how it works in the human body - there are no privileged 'mini hearts' lying around waiting to get blood supply before any other organs. And if it doesn't work that way in the human body, it probably won't work that way in a university or any establishment modelled along the lines of the human body.
If you can’t provide proof that the son of the former cjn was not qualified for the position he was given then there is no need for all these long epistles

The question is...did he meet the rquirements? Over and above all other candidates?
Did he not meet the requirements over and above other candidates?

Is this an official policy in Nigerian universities? Are you telling me there is an officially approved quota for lecturer 'pikin' dem?
Yes. Even in employment, biological children of staff members are given priorities over others

In military and para military, there is espirit the corps

In medical practice, health workers and their family are prioritized etc

Let us start from there. These 'scratch my back I scratch yours', 'man know man' practices should be condemned - be they in the universities or the judiciary.
That is natural, even the heart that pumps blood to other parts of the body supply itself first before pumping to other organs

Rubbish, so if his son met the requirements he should be denied the appointment because of his father?

In the university, biological children of lecturers are given priority over others for admission, so it is in other aspect of public service. So if you can’t condemn those ones, then don’t condemn this

When Was the Prophet of Islam - Salallaahu alayhi wa sallam - Born?

Popular but Unreliable Stories Series III

By Aboo Naasir - Hafidhahu-Llaah

There is hard evidence in the books of hadeeth and history that the Prophet, Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), was born on a Monday and that he was born in the Year of the Elephant. As such, no known difference occurs among the people of knowledge on these points. However, that he was born in the month of Rabiu al-Awwal and specifically on its 12th day, although popular, is unreliable! The problem is compounded by the difference in the dates cited in the books of history.

Imam Ibn Katheer (d. 774 AH) – the author of the widely read book of Tafseer – has uniquely compiled the various dates that have been mentioned: Some say he was born on 17th Rabiu al-Awwal, others cite 2nd Rabiu al-Awwal and some others gave 8th Rabiu al-Awwal. 10th Rabiu al-Awwal, 17th Rabiu al-Awwal and 22nd Rabiu al-Awwal were also given in different sources. Other sources even said he was born in the month of Ramadan! Yet, no one of these dates – not any – is transmitted with an authentic chain!

The most deserving of attention is that collected by Ibn Abee Shaybah in his Musannaf from ‘Affan on the authority of Sa’eed bin Meenaa from Jabir bin Abdullah and Abdullah bin Abbass that: “The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) was born in the Year of the Elephant on the 12th day of Rabiu al-Awwal...” [al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah 2/260]. Apart from the fact that giving the chain of report includes a declaration that this report is weak and unreliable, Imam Ibn Katheer expressly said, “It has a broken chain.” [al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah 3/109]. And this is clear. ‘Affan bin Muslim as-Saffaar, a 10th category reporter cited the report from Sa’eed bin Meenaa, a tabi’ee in the 3rd category. [See Taqreeb at-Tahdheeb no. 2649 and 5200]. Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdullah al-‘Ushan included this date in his book on Maa shaa’a walam yathbut fee as-Seerat an-Nabawiyyah (Popular But Unreliable Reports Cited in the Prophet’s Biography) pg. 5-10, and Dr. Akram Diyaa al-‘Umaree who stipulated to give only reliable reports in his book about the Prophet’s biography did not even mention any of the dates at all.

So, that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) was born on 12th Rabiu al-Awwal lacks evidence. He - sallallaahu alayhi wasallam - had said, “It suffices for a man to prove himself a liar when he goes on narrating whatever he hears”. (Muslim 7).

Dear reader, the fact remains that our religion is based on proven facts and Allah the Mighty and Sublime has promised and actually preserved it from any inclusions and deletions. If the actual date of birth of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) has any act of worship consequent upon it, it would have been authentically preserved. The message of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) is centred upon rejecting every other deity and giving servitude to Allah Alone, FOLLOWING the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), not upon baseless suppositions and religious innovations.

Allahu al-Musta’an.

If truly Jesus died for your sin, why, why and what is meaning of your FORGIVE US OUR SIN in your daily prayer?
He died for the sins humanity committed through Adam and he told us to stop committing sins he never told us that we had the permission to be committing future sins like u teach in Islam, but because we are humans and hence not perfect anytime we sin again, we should ask for forgiveness.
As for you Muslims, why will you still ask for forgiveness for the next one year if fasting on the day of Arafat will give you forgiveness of sins for another one year?

It is one of the things that amuse me about Islam. Is Satan a physical body that they think they can stone?
Muslims don’t accept that Jesus died for the sins of the world but they believe that if they fast on the Arafat day, they would have their sins forgiven for the sins they will commit in the next one year, little wonder they do as they like!

Ease with the adjective.

That said, the change to eat Pork came from Jesus mouth: Someone who claimed to be sent by God.

So, if there is a Prophetic Utterances to that abrogation, it is good to go.

Like I said, go easy on the adjectives...
