What you've mentioned is part of the reasons for the strike though. They have a 5 point request & profiling of riders is one of them.

Weightless:

Same with mi, I mostly go on public transport when I don't drive.
I will not be part of the protest because it will only make things harder for both the riders and drivers at the long run. I think drivers should fight for a better rating system and identity of riders to should be in full from their home address to their id cards so in case of theft and robbery they can be fished out

Honestly, if I have N2m that I want to use for a business, I don't think E-Hailing is a very good idea. There are a number of businesses that can give me a ROI in a shorter period of time & with limited stress.
Even if I must do transportation business, there are other sub sectors of transportation that are more lucrative & profitable.

Another thing is how well you can avoid LASTMA & Co. One day, I was arrested by CBD for trying to pick a rider in front bookshop and I had to beg them with N5k. Just as the CBD guy alighted from my car & I was about to start going, na so LASTMA sef use one Korope block me. Before I knew it, we Don reach Sura. My brother, dem Don write my ticket down before I reach their office. N20k. All these happened on a Friday before 12pm in a week that I couldn't work until Thursday (the precious day).

This ehailing hustle is all about motivation and determination. If you don't have what is motivating you and the determination to meet your target, you'll notice you'll just be working to cater for your immediate needs only

One thing that I just know is that you can not know the accurate temperature of a river until you deep your leg into it. Whatever the temperature is, it affects us in different ways. The same water that you think is very cold might seem warm to me. It all depends on each person's level of adaptability.
What am I trying to say? You can't know how well you can succeed in this job until you start doing it. It's easy to conjure figures out of your imaginations based on what you hear or read on a daily basis but you can never understand the realities of those figures until you start trying to earn them.
I left a corporate job in 2016 to start E-Hailing because of the things I was told by a neighbor who was into it. My job was very stressful & I had to work every day of the week with just one day off. I was desperately looking for an alternative because the job was killing me & I was no longer happy with myself. One of my off days happened to be a neighbor's birthday so we were all gathered in the compound having general discussions. That was how I found out about E-Hailing & I did some research on the internet. After a few weeks, I decided to start by hustling on my off days. Fortunately, my boss traveled & was away for a few months so I had the entire weekend to myself. By the time he got back, I was had my resignation letter prepared.
Right now, I've not driven for about a year because I got tired of the intricacies of the job. The insults, the extortion by lastma & Co, the traffic, etc. I just got tired & the lock down made me realize how stressful and mentally draining the job had been for me. By the time the lock down was over, I was too mentally lazy to go back to the hustle.
From personal experience, there's money in the E-Hailing hustle but it's easier to make money than save it. If you don't have a very strict personal financial discipline, all you'd see is the figures on your dashboard.
Before you leave your corporate job for E-Hailing there are a few questions you need to answer.
1. Do you love driving? - Driving has to be fun & a hobby to you if you must enjoy the job.
2. Do you ha e the strength for long hour driving?
3. How well can you manage your temper.
4. How well can you handle your own PR?
5. Do you have the mental confidence to manage crisis?
6. How tolerant are you?
7. Are you sure you're physically fit?

The answer to these questions will go a long way to help you determine whether or not you're going to be able to handle the E-Hailing hustle.
The truth is, anyone can survive the hustle if they are really determined to.

Earning N100k in Ilesa is like earning N150k in Lagos if you consider the cost of living. In your shoes, I'd gladly take the Ilesa job, relocate & start a new, relaxing life there.

You sound like you need a car to be going to work with while you planned on paying rental from your salary. Because Bros, your campaign manifesto is almost impossible.

The fact that you can't do it does not mean it's not possible. I've done this for over 3 months & I've successfully paid the rental fee without having to touch my salary.
All I need do is to net 3k daily during the day & 10k on weekends

I live in Surulere
I work in Parkview Estate, Ikoyi (9am - 5pm}
I drive part time (mostly 6pm to 11pm & weekends)
I need a car to drive on a part time basis at 25k weekly.
Your car will be working for just 45 hours weekly instead of the normal 70 hours.
Your car won't be too stressed out.

Hi everyone.
I'm a driver partner but I drive on a part time basis because I have a paid job. Hence, I work from 5 to 11pm (after office) daily and full day on Saturday and Sunday.
The advantage of giving your car to me is that your car won't be over stressed like the normal E-Hailing car, thereby enhancing longevity. I can do 25k weekly.
I can be contacted on 09026655179.
Thanks
