A whole 35 kilometers walk back home? Such wickedness. It’s like walking from Ojodu Berger to the Shagamu interchange for the little boy.

That driver should not be suspended. He should be fired and sent to jail for such high level insensitivity. Thank God that he arrived home safely.

God bless good Nigerians out there doing good things.

Politics / Re: I Violated The Building Law - Nwanosike in heated exchange over sealed hotel by ElevationD: 9:25pm On Jul 25
Now Nwanosike played into the hands of Fubara. He foolishly agreed that he contravened the law. He arrogantly demanded the bill. Unfortunately he forgot that government now reserves the right to do with the building what it will.

While Wike held sway as the governor, Nwanosike would not dare go near the place any more, not to talk of asking for how much he would pay. The place would long have been pulled down.

Now we can all see why these men are involved in politics. The reason why they struggle, kill and destroy is to loot and build such gigantic projects with public funds. The foolish supporters eulogize them, while they grow more desperate to embezzle more.

It is wise to sit on the fence during election period because it is still horrible leaders that will be elected at the end.

For example, which of all the contenders in the last election is not horrible?

Of course, Obi is not horrible, according to you ethnic bigots.

Stop disgracing yourself Mr. Tribalist. Did I mention any name in my comment? Who’s looking at tribal sentiments in the face of the hardship imposed by your poor leaders? Face the reality of poor leadership, irrespective of tribe or religion. Across the entire length and breath of the national are horrible leaders, appointed and well defended by your likes.

Stop playing the ostrich. Stop crying in your private moments. Stop defending the indefensible. Wake up and say the truth to power, irrespective of who holds the office. That’s the mark of a man who wants a decent society.

Thank you for your time.

Will the NNPC cabals allow it to work? They are frustrating Dangote refinery operations.

Dangote’s refinery is a pointer to the competition that awaits private refineries in the country. With Port Harcourt and Warri coming up, it may be difficult for NNPC to deliver crude to them. Do not forget that BUA is nearing completion too in Akwa Ibom state with 200,000 bpd.

Don't you know that it's fools that go out to vote?

Why would I waste my time to vote for someone who would forget about me at the drop of a hat?

Not giving a damn about government starts from you not bothering about voting. That way, you have rest of mind and pursue your purpose on life.

And you do not know that it is foolish to sit on the fence as an onlooker, while horrible leaders are put into positions of power by thugs and touts? Where is your peace of mind when prices of goods and services go beyond your purse?

Can you truthfully say that you do not feel the impact of poor leadership? That’s why citizens are going out to register their disapproval with protests. Are protests about poor governance supposed to be sectional or tribal as you mentioned in your initial comment. That was absolutely unfair and reckless.

Such a childish and uneducated comment.

So you voted for leaders to get into offices, make wealth for themselves and impoverish you?

Did Trump also speak of how his ancestors came and stole from Africa. Did he speak of how his ancestors, after having their fill of Africa, merged strangest tribes together to form countries? Did he speak of how those countries are struggling to survive because they are not one?

Trump is a hypocrite and you are blind to have believed he had anything sensible to say in that write-up.

Where is the hypocrisy with the leadership of the country presently? Why play the ostrich with the realities on ground? Are the words about the present affairs correct or not?

seborrhic:

Well said, but you are talking to a man everyone has now found out, just like Buhari,is a product of propaganda and lies, about their capacity and integrity.
This protest is easy to either stop or at least curtail to a large extent.
The people to meet are the market unions and transport unions that are the primary sources of inflation, asides the fuel and naira value.Find an emergency way to drastically bring down prices of foodstuff or at least evidence of it.Get transport unions to reduce transportation costs, one way or the other.
In this dire situation Nigeria is,you cannot allow a total market determined economy, the prices of some goods, especially foodstuffs, basic goods and services and transportation just has to be controlled.
Then make a Nationwide broadcast, telling Nigerians the agreement reached with evidence and other longer term measures you would promise would also start manifesting before the year end to reduce the astronomical cost of living.
You can also even impose a freeze on rent increase and any electricity tariff increase.
With these practical measures and a national broadcast to that effect, even if the protest goes on,it would be muted.
But of course, dunces and people propped up by lies and propaganda can't think that strategically and far, after all it was just to grab power at any cost

And that’s what the citizens demand. Rather than make life easier, taxes and more taxes in the name of infrastructures are imposed to the disgust of everyone.

Okpanam lands have become prime lands, just like Asaba. Issele Azagba too has become expensive purchase.

The construction of Okpanam road, Asaba, opened Okpanam community completed and added it to the state capital territory. Just as it became popular that there are no longer vacant lands in Asaba, developments shifted to neighboring communities, making lands very expensive. Lands are as high as 20m per plot in some parts of Okpanam, making it high stakes. Very soon Oko Amakom will become the centerpiece.

Hopefully government of Delta state can place the same embargo placed on Ogwashi uku lands on Okpanam lands for peace.

I hope Ekwe Ogidi is arrested and make to face the law. His hotel (Golden Tulip) is quite big and he is well accommodated in Asaba. Please we do not want wahala in Okpanam.

Are you brain dead or what... When did I tell you I was from Lagos state.
I am a northerner living in the north. Just because I am not from Lagos is not a reason I should want Lagos to be burnt down.

Are you not even ashamed? You live and earn your living in Lagos yet you want to burn down same Lagos that gave you and your family succour

You are brain dead, otherwise you would not single out one tribe in a nation with over 300 languages for your vituperations.

You should be absolutely ashamed of your disgusting self. While others are thinking out ways to douse the tension, you chose a tribe, who lost so much billions in goods and cash during the last end protest, to accuse of destroying Lagos. You chose a tribe whose leaders, just like leaders of other tribes have been appealing to, for your insults. Are your people saints in the massive destructions happening daily in every part of the country?

If you live in the north, why not mention your state or town if shame would permit you. Maybe your family finds refuge in Sambisa forest. Even assuming without conceding that you are resident in the north, why not face the massive destruction going on there since 2010 and find ways with your fellow cheeky people to stop it? How would you leave the log in your own eyes while removing the moth in somebody else’s?

Northerners started the threat and sustained it. Rather than address it, cowards like you turned to Igbos. Bow your face in shame.

Be sincere with yourself. Are you interested in the protest because of the hardship or because you lost politically?

Are you going to join the protesters or you are just going to incite them on social media while you sit at home sipping yoghurt?

God will punish you if you fail to join the protest but incite it. Or don't you know that lives may be lost and businesses destroyed if the protest goes haywire? You are like the Pharisees and Sadducees spoken of by Jesus.

Matthew 23:4 King James Version (KJV)
For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Do you think God will be happy when Mama Kennedy is crying because her son who was inspired by your social media post died on the protest ground?

Why preach what you can't practice. Why call for protest, yet you kick against such holding in your region? You want another person's region to go up in flames while yours is safeguarded. You are very evil and people like you always lament and never achieve their desires.

Are Nigerians suffering? Yes. But evil people like you want to take advantage of that to score political points. You never care about the people suffering; you just want to get at the President because your own candidate was beaten in a fair game.

While you sit and make loud noise about your evil plans, have it at the back of your mind that some people are silently watching. The evil you wish others will befall you.

The protest will fail because if truly the country is as bad as we all paint it, the protest will be spontaneous. There won't be any need to notify the public. Notification letters only come from shady elements who want to weaponize people's sufferings as a means to getting close to Nigeria's cookie jar. Did APC do the same? If yes, what makes you think you can beat them using their own strategy? Good luck with that.

What I've said so far seem like bias but it's the truth. Don't let Obi or Atiku 's loss sour you into a willing tool at their hands. Where are their children? Look, you might think I'm shielding Tinubu, but such is not the case. He has a greater judgement waiting for him from God as Nigeria's leader. If his intentions are bad, he will answer to God. Such notion gives me peace of mind instead of storming the street and achieving nothing at the hand.

Enter EndSARS... are police no longer carrying out brutalities?

Those who incited the EndSARS protest that brought untold destruction in Nigeria, what happened to them? They got donations from all over the world and bought properties in Maldives while the empty brains they incited got injured and died for nothing. If you think protest solves anything, then think again.

Look, government is not here to help you but to give you a reason not to blame yourself for your own failures. We humans always love to blame others for our own failures. Instead of working extra hard to make ends meet, we blame government. Tinubu's mother didn't give birth to him to put food on your table. If you benefit from government 8nterventiom today, be grateful and don't dwell on it. While you blame PDP and APC for bringing hardship and corruption to Nigeria, note that some people are not even aware of such. Those are the people who spent their time focusing on their purpose in life instead of blaming government for every problem. That is why they are not bother by the cry of hardship.

Ask yourself, which would you rather be: the protester (complainer) or the one who doesn't need government?

Say shame to yourself first. Read the below perfect description of events in Nigeria from Donald Trump and tell yourself that with your comment, you are deceiving yourself:

“We are not obliged, even for a second, to try to prove to anybody and especially to blacks and Arabs that we are superior people - we have demonstrated that to the black and Arabs in 1001 ways.

The America we know today was not created by wishful thinking. We created it at the expenses of intelligence, sweat, and blood.....we do not pretend like other whites that we like the blacks - We must admit, without any fear, that we don't like them, and for so, so, many valid reasons.

The fact that blacks and Arabs look like human beings does not necessarily make them sensible human beings. Hedgehogs are not porcupines and lizards are not crocodiles because they look alike. if God had wanted us to be equal to blacks and Arabs, he would have created us all of a uniform colour and intellect. But he created us differently. Whites, blacks, yellow, the rulers and the ruled. intellectually we are superior to the blacks and Arabs. That has been proven beyond the reasonable doubt over the years.

I believe that a white man is an honest, God fearing person who has demonstrated practically the right way of being a human. By now every one of us has seen it practically that blacks and Arabs cannot rule themselves. Give them guns and they will kill each other.

They are good in nothing else but making noise, dancing, marrying many wives, alcoholism, witchcraft, indulging in sex, pretending in church, jealousy, fighting and complaining of bad leadership; but, yet refuse to take a decisive action and protest to remove the brigands from position of power.

Let us all accept the fact that the black man is a symbol of poverty, mental inferiority, laziness and emotional incompetence. To make the matter worse, he can do everything possible to defend his stupidity. Give them money for development and they will fight and create hatred and enmity for themselves. Drill oil wells for them and they will not have peace all the days of their life.

See, for instance, what's happening in Nigeria (a Country blessed with abundant resources), Southern Sudan, Malawi, DRC just to mention a few.
This proves to anybody including a stupid fool that Africans do not know what they want. isn't that plausible?

They are like monkeys looking for already ripping banana all over the world!!!.

Therefore that the white man is created to rule the black man, Africans will always have day dreams.*

And here is the creature (black man) that lacks foresight but only sees what is near him and still fails to know what to do.

A black man is stupid to the extent that he cannot plan for his life beyond a year. Therefore how can they develop and live longer.

Corruption in the west (And China) is a big abomination, but in Africa, it's so huge that it is slowly becoming an acceptable way of life!!!. Shame, isn't it?

They sing and rejoice to their corrupt political leaders. They worship their scandal-ridden religious leaders like their gods. Lest you forget, these so called Africans are praising, dancing and praying for the people that have impoverished them, and who comes to hide their loot here.

Then which fool argues that the black man is not born a beggar, grows a beggar, looks a beggar, falls sick as a beggar and dies a beggar. this has been proven beyond reasoning.

I wonder why even up to now most Africans still go to school by force, and those who are at school are are just drug addicts who don't know what took them there. This is a pregnant stupidity in Africa. The body of Africans is a very fertile ground for all diseases in the world because they don't fear even HIV/AIDS.

This leaves me with a question: Are our eyes created the same with those Africans? I hear there are still cultures in Africa that prohibit them from using latrines which is very annoying.

They cried for independence but have failed to rule themselves. For sure being African is a very untreatable disease that even prayers are not enough.

They have minerals but they cannot do anything with it. Therefore let us (whites) go to Africa and pick what we can pick and leave what is of no use. Poverty is a disease to the whites, but to the blacks it is very normal.

Look at what is currently going on in Nigeria National Assembly. Legislators amending the constitution to favor themselves at the expense of two (200) million Nigerians. The present administration now have no economic blueprint plan, rather than noise and false propaganda. Characterised with hatred and witch hunt/impoverishment.

Majority of these legislators are treasury looters who are intellectually barren but using the ill gotten wealth to oppress the citizens of that great country.

What a shame!

Black people with black sense, and a sick president in London for medical tourism!!!.

The worst tragedy in Africa is that if you dare stand up and speak up for what's right, you may end up regretting.

The few wise and open-minded Africans who have tried to educate these fools about civilization have met the worst. They have been pushed hard on the wall, they have been silenced and others have been killed".

Before I finish, let me tell Africans that before you jump and call me a racist, an anti-blacks or whatever term you may wish to use against me,1st tackle runaway corruption, dreadful terrorism, tribalism, poverty, unemployment, diseases, illiteracy, ignorance, and inequality, that have put your whole continent on the verge of collapse".

Hate me or love me, I don't care.I know this is the plain truth which will never see the light of the day to the cowards that are afraid to be told as it is”.

By- Donald .J. Trump.

This is very laughable jo!
When did Oro festival start holding for 15 whole days in the whole of Lagos? So what will happen when already hungry people are made to sit at home for whole 15 days of Oro in Lagos. Would that not be the worst case of ebi n pawa?

This is the first that I hear government take all measures to prevent protests. The same leaders in the same government protested to pull down a previous government that did much better than them in 2012.

So far it has been threats, coercion and appeal by government.

Much as we do not wish to have protests and strikes, government must do the needful by making the country livable for all. We have heard government saying “give us more time”, “we have barely been one year in office”, etc. In those, government policies daily strangulate the citizens. It is only pretenders who tell themselves only that things are getting better. How long more to bear when even tomatoes and yam have become hard to purchase.

I thought BAT would first deal with insecurity and food in 2023, as he said that he had spent his life preparing for the Presidency. If he committed plenty of energy into those two since last year, we should be seeing the results by now. Seeing that the same APC government shut the borders in the name of protecting local industries, the failure of that policy is glaring as it massively backfired. Today the cost of rice is ten times what it was when APC took over in 2015. I thought BAT in the interim should have done the needful in the Southern borders to allow us have a massive inflow of food to alleviate the suffering.

Here we are today with most of the citizens fed up with poor leadership.

For those who think it is tribal, you are simply being mischievous as the hunger does not know tribe. The price of rice is the same nationwide. Favorable policies are for all and not for a selected few. A drop is prices is for all and not a selected few. Government must do something about it.

NLC too has been arm twisted to accept a very poor minimum wage.

Government must rather than issue threats, address the pressing issues at hand. Nigerians have never experienced hunger on this magnitude. It is unbearable and must be put to an end.

The same guy sold land just last year and he used part of the proceeds to buy keke and he drove the keke just 7months and sold it . The guy in abroad sent their sister to arrange youth to beat him but they overdo and the guy later died after the beating.. this is a very sad news because i knw this family

So sad. There are too many families facing the challenges of recalcitrant children. Managing them can be difficult, but organizing community youths to beat them up is not acceptable.

Now the elder brother regrets his irreversible actions. Living with his brother with the stubborn behavior obviously would have been a better option than this. The story says that he did not ask them to kill his brother. Unfortunately Jukwaaese and his team used their machetes on the now deceased.

Please we must look out for those non state actors in our communities, who specialize in killing and maiming others. We must organize ourselves on our respective platforms and discourage such wicked acts that make our communities unsafe.

The truth is that the jukwaese guy wears a ring that when ever he gets into a fight and hits you with it, you will be dazed for a long time. Possibly the guy was not strong enough to withstand the effect of the jazzed ring.
Forget the story about selling land and not giving him share, this is just the gist to justify the brothers act of stealing the doors to eat. If that was the case, the brother wouldnt hide to steal it, he can equally mobilize oba youths to stop the work, call thier umunna to intervene in the matter and he will be given his own share.
Im an Oba person, so I can tell you for sure the scenerio.

So thieves steal things openly to you?

If in all the junior brother was killed; if in all the senior brother admitted that he sent them to “discipline” the brother as we read; what are you trying to defend?

That the event happened in Oba, your community, is immaterial. It could happens anywhere. The point here is that a young man lost his life owing to a disagreement between him and his senior brother.

You started well but ended poorly! What percentage of the masses collected bribe? If the leaders are bad are the masses that good? Is Democracy not free anymore? People are free to vote whoever they want! Good or Bad! That's democracy!

Vote for whoever you want, but do not receive bribes to vote. You votes should be done freely and not because of any inducement. Bribe for votes put democracies in danger.

Even the slightest percentage that collect danger are like one person farthing in a small room filled with people. Everywhere is polluted.
