Good day people. Please, I need your urgent advice on what to do. I applied to SAQA for my credentials verification this year January. I have made the payment. After some weeks, I received a mail from SAQA, informing me to make a payment ( credential verification payment) to the credential awarding institution, as requested by the institution. I did immediately and forwarded the payment receipt to SAQA as requested by them.

After some days, I contacted my credentials awarding institution to confirm if they have received a mail from SAQA, I was told they are yet to get a mail from SAQA, as regard my credentials verification . I sent a mail to SAQA about the development, no reply up til now.

I sent another email copying both SAQA and my credentials awarding institution, yet nothing.

According to SAQA, I only have 3 weeks for my credentials awarding institution to respond to them , in order to avoid cancellation. This timeline will elapsed this week Wednesday. I don't know what to do.

I used Kenya airways flight itinerary. Return flight. I guess it doesn't matter if the proposed travel time elapsed before you get your Visa. In my own case, I submitted my application in the month of July, and I got approval in December.

I am thinking perhaps I should get an affidavit. Though all the names are correctly spelt, just the arrangement between the first and middle name.

Good day people. Please, I want to know if it really matter. I got my study visa today through DHL. I discovered that my first/given name was interchange for my middle name. But my surname/family name is in order. Does it matter?

This means that there is variance(in arrangements) between the first/given name in my international passport, but the surname is in order.

That's serious. Have you tried using your phone, since you said you used a laptop. I did mine on my phone, including the payment through my debit card.

Please I have been unable to sign into the VFS PORTAL to schedule an appointment.

It's frustrating and I have even called them out on Twitter but no response. Everything they adviced other complainants on Twitter to do, I have done them but nothing changed. I have cleared my browser cache, history and cookies, restarted my system, changed browser, changed ISP, use a new laptop, etc did not work.

I am tired already.

Please someone should try and help me. I need to know if this is happening to me alone

It could be network issues. I experienced similar issues when I did mine then. I was advised not to use Google Chrome. I ended up using Opera Mini browser. This was in July this year anyways. Perhaps you should try Firefox browser or Opera Mini browser.

NLC and TUC should please let me get my salary before they ground everywhere. Hunger is Bad.

More reasons why I have been hoping and anticipating my study visa to be approved, so that I can ' elope' for my PhD Programme in a foreign land. It's more of a scholarship. God, nah beg, I dey beg.

Delays might have to do with the type of visa and number of applications at a time.
I got my conference visa in 4 working days.

One cannot really predict them. I have heard of someone who got a response in less than 48 hours. I know someone who got in about 4 days. I also know another who waited for more than 10 days. Ironically, all these people got a rejection. Just be a bit more patient and stay optimistic.

Does it implies that having a delay in reply from them guarantee Visa Application approval?

General/ Government Hospitals are preferable. I did mine at Ikeja General Hospital.

Thank you for your reply. In my own case, I submitted my study visa application at VFS global office in Lagos State. The online tracking has been displaying " application received and under assessment at the South Africa High Commission in Lagos State Nigeria". Do I need to address the follow up letter through DHL, to the embassy in Abuja or the one in Lagos State.

I submitted my application for a study visa since July this year. I am yet to get a feedback from them too. Though I have been tracking the process online. And I often called VFS global office in Lagos, to follow up. The last time I called, I was told it could take up to two months before I get a reply. The online tracking kept displaying " your application is received and under assessment at the South Africa High Commission in Lagos".
