Literature / Dangers Of Graduates That Don't Think Beyond Their Certificates by Foodieblog(f): 4:44am On Jan 17, 2021
The greatest form of disability in life is not knowing your ability. Your winning edge in life is not the degree you have acquired or the certificate you possessed, but your ability to solve problems.

Whenever I interview graduates, I am not so keen on their qualifications; I always look out for their special skills, experiences and their unique approach to solve problems. Most of them can't even apply the knowledge they have acquired in school to solving life problems.

The 21st Century employer don’t necessarily pay you a salary for the certificate you possess, but for the problems you can solve.

The reality of life is that, there are more employable graduates than the available jobs, and it is only graduates that can actually think beyond their certificate that would eventually find their own place in life.

Mark Twain said: “Don’t let schooling interfere with your education.”

The proof of going to school is your certificate, but the proof of your education is your ability to solve problems through innovation and creativity.

Graduates that can't solve problems are liabilities to their Nation. Education is not just about going to school and getting a degree; it's about widening your knowledge, being creative and absorbing the truth about life.

We should always see our education beyond our certificates. Many people spend their precious years in school only to end up acquiring certificate, not education.

Einstein said: “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training, of the mind to think.”

Have you ever heard of the creativity term, "think outside the box?"

One of the major reasons why most graduates are poor is because, they can't see and think beyond their certificates.

I have seen engineering graduates work as bankers, medical doctors with great skills in web and graphic designs, lawyers that are very dexterous with finances.The list is endless!

The basic truth is, the skills needed to be much sought after and become more successful in life are not really found within the walls of the classrooms.

Your certificate is just a proof that you are teachable; it does not suggest what you are totally capable of doing. You are full of possibilities when you think beyond your degrees and certificates.

If you remove your certificate from the picture, what are those things you can do effortlessly so well?
Although you would definitely need the knowledge you have acquired in school, but they must not define your limitations.

Don’t allow your certificate to put a limit on what you are capable of doing. Your education goes beyond acquiring certificate; it is your ability to solve problems.

Don't forget that schooling leads to confinement, education is an adventure. Schooling makes us learn rules, regulations and facts, while education makes us learn through exposure.

I have seen many graduates being successful in areas that have nothing to do with their course of study.
Most students are studying what they don’t even like in tertiary institutions, and placing them in industries that have nothing to do with their passion and gift is a waste of their potentials.

It does not make much difference what you study, so long as you don’t like it, it's of no relevance to you.

Funke Akindele-Bello and Femi Adebayo-Salami are both lawyers and they're the Stars of Nollywood Today.
Peter Amangbo, the Chief Executive of Zenith Bank Plc studied Engineering in school. Adesola Kareem's Adeduntan, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of First Bank Nigeria Plc and subsidiaries is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Ibadan. Former Chief Executive of defunct Diamond Bank Plc, Uzoma Dozie, had his first degree in Chemistry from the University of Reading in 1991 and a postgraduate degree in Chemical Research from Imperial College, London.

It is not compulsory that you practise what you studied in school. Your first degree is just for cognitive development; further development of your logical thinking, numeracy, communication skills, and networking is not something you would learn in school.

The world is full of limitless possibilities for people who can think beyond their certificates. Education is a life-long process; it is not limited to a classroom, a structured period of time or formal instruction. You must be willing to navigate beyond the confines of your certificate to really make a meaningful impact in life.

One of the most profound laws in science is the Avogadro’s Law, which proposed that under controlled conditions of temperature and pressure, equal volumes of gases contain an equal number of molecules. Amedeo Avogadro made a lasting impact in the field of Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics and also made the city of Turin in Italy popular all over the world for his famous and legendary discovery. He later became a Professor of Physics at the University of Turin.

Unknown to many, Avogadro actually studied Law and graduated in Jurisprudence in 1792 and subsequently became a senator in the Piedmont Region of northern Italy. He pursued his.......

Literature / Can A Lady( Age 23-26) Live Alone by Foodieblog(f): 6:38pm On Jan 16, 2021
Some time ago, I did a research and this question was asked.
Can a lady who is between the age bracket of 23-26 live alone and still pay her bills?
Your suggestions are also needed.

I think living alone is exciting and can be very adventurous. Anybody is permitted to live alone, as long as you are matured enough to handle it.

Different people have different intentions why they want to live alone. It could be because they want their privacy or maybe because their friends are living alone and they feel they want to do same.

Most times, living alone can provide calm and composed energy to a person, which in turn propels a healthy life.

In some developed countries, when a child turns 18, he/she is allowed to rent an apartment and foot her bills because, there's always a government allowance to her citizens.

In African, the concept about ladies living alone is limited because most people feel when a lady chooses to live alone, she's up to something.

They would say, once a lady is not living with her parents, it means she is living with a man-factor or she's living a way-ward life.

This belief should have been stopped by now but, it's still in existence even amongst Nigerians.

Some ladies will use marriage to run away from their homes because they feel their parents caged them, by not letting them express themselves.

Though I don't see any reason why a lady shouldn't live alone in as much that, she is well disciplined.

A lady that stays alone, develops a greater sense of autonomy over time which creates opportunities for her to pursue her passion, interest and also do the work she cares about.

Some ladies I interviewed, once said that the reason why they decided to live alone is because, they love their privacy and that they also want to explore (meet people and get connected with the society at large), build their capacity as a woman, be independent (not liabilities to their family) and still be descent.

There are so many high ranked women who are successful in our society, who lived alone before they got married.

A lady who finishes her education and other academic activities before she clocks 26-years, should be allowed to explore and live happily before marriage.

I know that, due to insecurities in the country, ladies are not allowed or advised to........

Romance / Her Nightmare by Foodieblog(f): 6:07am On Jan 08, 2021
As the star shines in cloud streams

So my feelings for you envelops,

As the bird melody rains

So the feelings of my love spreads for you,

As the whirlwind smells fortune

So your perfume fills my nostrils,

As I wish to steal a gaze

My facial mask won't let me

Being swallowed in thoughts,

But choked up with your personality....

Wishing to let you know

But there was a foramen on the pericardium,

As I tried coming to heart

The surface became invisible

Making it a nightmare

Leaving me with a vacuum of......

Health / How To Reduce The Rate Of Male Infertility by Foodieblog(f): 3:06pm On Jan 07, 2021
Infertility is a common problem affecting one couple in six. Infertility is a common problem worldwide which has both psychological and social impact.

Infertility can be defined as the incapacity to fulfill pregnancy after reasonable time of sexual intercourse with no contraceptive measures taken. It can also be defined as the inability to conceive naturally after one year of regular unprotected intercourse.

Childlessness could be male infertility, female infertility or combined Infertility.

For healthy young couples, the likelihood of getting pregnancy varies. In 2010, an estimate of 47.5 million couples worldwide, were infertile. This article provides a brief review on infertility causes, abnormal semen causes, Diagnosis and treatment modalities.
The cornerstone of male infertility evaluation is Seminal Fluid Analysis (SFA), it provides information about sperm production but not the actual fertilizing capacity of the sperm.

CAUSES OF MALE INFERTILITY
There are causes of male infertility which is stated below:

Congenital Factor (Cryptorchidism and Testicular DYSGENESIS, congenital absence of the Vas Deferens).
•Acquired Urogenital Abnormalities (obstructions, testicular torsion, testicular tumor, orchitis).
•Systemic Diseases(diabetes, renal & liver insufficiency, cancer, hemochromatosis).
•Exogenous Factors (medications, toxins and irradiation)
•Lifestyle Factors (obesity, smoking, drugs and anabolic steroids)
•Urogenital Tract Infections
•Increased Scrotal swelling (it could be caused due to Varicocele)
•Endocrine Disturbance
•Genetic Abnormalities

POSSIBLE CAUSES FOR ABNORMAL SEMEN
•Low Volume: it's caused during retrograde ejaculation.
•High Volume: it is caused when there's a problem in the accessory gland.
•High Viscosity: when there's infection and also problem in the accessory gland.
•Low Sperm Count: Absence of vasa or seminal vesicles, abnormal sperm production.
•Low Motility: Dead sperm, agglutination, hormone imbalance and structural defects.

DIAGNOSIS
•AZOOSPERMIA: This is when there's no sperm in an ejaculate, which can be caused by an obstruction in the genital tract. It is the most severe case in male infertility.

Once diagnosis of AZOOSPERMIA has been made, obstruction can occur anywhere along the genital tract from the seminiferous tubules to the distal Vasa.

We should understand that, the most common site for obstruction is the Epididymis (two thirds of all blockages are found or occurs there).

Treatment
•If testicular and EPIDIDYMAL function can be verified, surgery to remove or correct maybe justified.
•Other Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART), like Testicular Aspiration (TESA) or Percutaneous EPIDIDYMAL Sperm Aspiration (PESA), can be used to treat, it since they are not relatively invasive.

•OLIGOSPERMIA: This is when there's a low sperm count, which is caused by infections, toxins, Testicular failure, germ cell wastage, obstruction, varicocele (abnormally swollen veins around the areas of the scrorum).
Treatment
•Quit smoking/drug/alcoholic use.
•Reduce stress.
•Treatment with anti-estrogen such as CLOMIPHENE Citrate or Tamoxifen, is sometimes useful since the don't interrupt the negative feedback effects of estrogen on the pituitary gland, thereby, stimulating gonadotropin output and testicular function.

•ASTHENOZOOSPERMIA: This is when there is low sperm motility of less than 50% or less than 25% with rapid forward progression.

Note:Sperm are very sensitive to temperature, rubber.....

Romance / Intimacy by Foodieblog(f): 1:53pm On Jan 07, 2021
I was winding up with schoolwork that year when she called one day inviting me over to her apartment. I caught a bus that rode 25 minutes when it pulled up in front of the address she'd given me. She came through a door dressed that had done little to flatter her broad waist. I timidly followed behind her, and she closed and lock the door after letting me in. We talked little before she advanced towards me. I sat leaning by the wall with my legs stretched out, so she heaved her ebony frame across to my thighs. Pulling her face to mine and blowing hot breath in it, her lips moved sofly on mine. My lips parted in confused excitement until it touched the tip of her tongue. My whole body erupted in a dizzying sensation. That first kiss seemed out of a book, a fairy tale. Then she had enough of the kiss, and I saw her unfasten her gown. It was almost sheer, and I wondered how she had gone about without extra undergarments than her bra and panties. I blinked hard and uneasily as she unhooked the bra and asked me to take the straps off her shoulders.

One strap before another and her bra dropped to bare her bust. I didn't know what she wanted me to do next, so she took my hand and guided it to the pointed skin on the mounds of her chest. That was when I got alarmed. My safety instincts had frozen my senses, so I sprung tensely and looked dully at her. She said something about me being frigid, and how she didn't call me up for pre-intimacy. I didn't know what those words meant, but she was visibly upset as she walked to the bathroom to change into new clothes. I had come dangerously close to having sex; it didn't feel right.

On the evening of the same day, she called to express how disappointed my inexperience had left her. But she seemed happier than I left her. We saw each other at her school a few more times, and she didn't stop talking dirty. One night she messaged to ask if I wanted to have sex with her before she finally gave her body to her fiancé. I said I wasn't and didn't want to talk about it anymore. The next morning I would neither answer her calls nor reply to her messages: I was calling time on our secret relationship.....

Sports / Barcelona- "The Fading Force" by Foodieblog(f): 1:23pm On Jan 06, 2021
```By the end of Frank Rjkaard's time as Barcelona head coach in 2008, the club had finished two successive seasons. The Dutchman, who had guided the Catalan club to continental and domestic success in 2006, left the Camp after being sacked by the board.
Pep Guardiola had been a key midfield figure in the Johann Cryuff side that clinched the club's maiden European glory, and he being, 37-year-old was announced as the coaching replacement for the Rjkaard.
Deco and Ronaldinho were two of the significant departures following the ex-Netherlands international's dismissal. The offseason overhaul, was a statement of intent for a club keen on re-establishing their status as one of Europe's superpowers. Gerard Pique was re-signed from Manchester United, semifinal victors over Barcelona that year, to share duties with Carles Puyol and Rafael Marquez in centre-back; Dani Alves from Sevilla at right-back and Sergio Busquets from the youth system, made the cut for a regular starting place in Guardiola's new look side.
“Guardiola wanted to make football better, trying hard to take his team to another level. He played in the third team then, (when he was given his first-team debut at Barcelona in 1990), and physically he was nothing, but he knew how to help himself with the right movement. And his experience in turning disadvantages into advantages, distinguished him as a coach.
To me, he’s one of the best in the world. What is really outstanding about Guardiola is that he does not force his style of football onto his team. He analyses what is best for the team, utilizes the special details and through that leads them to the greatest possible success.
It’s no coincidence that Spain won the 2010 World Cup with seven of Guardiola’s players, and now Germany with six or seven of his players.” –"Johan Cruyff"...
Barcelona began their domestic campaign in defeat, and a stalemate in the following match saw Guardiola face stern questions over his appointment. The Spanish boss regrouped his players and turned the season on its head. Guardiola had not only restored the club's winning mentality, but advanced to a tactical sophistication that revolved around Cryuff's style. Tiki-taka was an ingenious and "complex" art of football: the high defensive line, the aggressive pressure in retaining possession, the passing precision and sequence, and the endless wave of attacks.
The team created opportunities vastly and broke down their opponents' defensive setup with ridiculous ease. Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta, Pep's ace in the revitalized team, were playing at consistent high level, and the club would go on to complete an unprecedented sextuple in the winter of 2009.
The trophy haul at the end of Guardiola's 4-year-reign stood at 14, a remarkably feat by a young tactician. The two season's post-Guardiola yielded a league title as, the only major honour for the club.
Tata Martinez was replaced by Luiz Enrique.
The former Sporting Gijon and Barcelona player who would shake off a difficult start to lead the club to a second treble, a record held only by them. Unlike Guardiola's model, the Asturian boss elected for a dramatic shift in influence from midfield to attack.
Xavi approached 35 and looked to be supplanted by Rakitic, Iniesta and Busquets may have been undisputed starters, yet the stars of the show throughout the season had been the South-American trio of Messi, Suárez, and Neymar, between whom a record 122 goals were scored. Barcelona became more clinical and prolific going forward, but contributions from the centre of the park waned slightly.
"Threat over art," you could say was Barcelona's mantra over this period. Luis Enrique spent 3 years at the club, one less than Pep, winning 9 silverwares in that spell. Xavi had announced his decision to leave the club before Enrique's second season, Iniesta in line to take over the captain's armband from him. While the pair, along with Messi, are widely regarded as proponents of Tiki-taka, Xavi easily made the midfield tick. His exit represented a tactical transition from swagger to a repeatedly dull and unspectacular method.
Neymar had played 4 seasons at the club before joining PSG in 2017. That meant the trident was a man short. With a corresponding decrease in midfield figures after Xavi's exit, there wasn't so much by way of art or threat. Barcelona looked particularly vulnerable in midfield, unable to impose themselves or win with the conviction they once did.
A double in Ernesto Valverde's first season and another domestic glory the following season would come across as highlights of his credentials, but the humiliating exits two years in a row raised concerns around the dressing room and the city of Barcelona. Iniesta had passed over captaincy to Messi in 2018, after playing in the 5 - 0 Cup victory against Sevilla. Like Xavi, Iniesta's absence has been hugely felt.
In fact, Xavi, Iniesta, Dani Alves, are legitimately irreplaceable. But that's not all the problem. Barcelona have been mired in personnel,........
