Phones / Re: Clubkonnect Data Company Are Scammers, Please Beware!!! by geeboy1(m): 6:16pm On Mar 04, 2018
I think i am one of the Nigerians who has been defrauded by club konnect, but i won't let them go free. I purchased N900 worth of Glo data on thursday which is for 2GB. Hours upon hours passed, i wasn't credited my data. I was at their office on friday, i met with their inexperienced officials who called themselves the customer care attendants. Club Konnect never picks calls. Attached to this message are my payment proofs. I need my data sent to the line i purchased it to immediately. I have waited for over 3 days.

Nairaland / General / Why Your Website Visitors Don’t Become Customers by geeboy1(m): 9:09am On Apr 25, 2016
Hello everyone, this is our second short article on website. You may have been engaging in some underground works as regards driving traffic to your website before now without yielding desired results, all that will change after reading this short piece. I know how important it is having people visit your website, this brings about emails from website visitors rolling in and calls to make business enquiries which could ultimately result into patronage. I have visited quite a lot of websites especially African websites and something has been so lacking in almost all these websites, can you guess what it is? ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
It is called ‘TESTIMONIALS’. When you visit a chunk load of foreign websites, you will see that a lot of them have a dedicated page for TESTIMONIALS from their customers. One good reason why I think driving traffic to your website has been so frustrated could be because TESTIMONIALS from your customers are completely absent on your website. It doesn’t mean visitors haven’t been coming to your website, they just haven’t been patronizing. In short terms, I would define TESTIMONIALS as FEEDBACKS given to you by customers making use of the service(s) you provide. TESTIMONIALS can never be all round positive, trust people, some would have negative feedbacks to give you.
If I visit a website, I have to easily locate a page (testimonial page) or somewhere on the homepage where there will be a collection of good things said by people as regards the services rendered by the owner(s) of the website. This can greatly be a determinant for me as regards patronizing or not patronizing. If you don’t have a website, TESTIMONIALS isn’t limited to websites alone. Open a Facebook page for your business today, Facebook pages are enabled in such a way that that customers can easily give you written reviews (testimonial) and equally grade your services in terms of Stars (1 star= poor, 2 stars= fair, 3 stars= good etc) . Having TESTIMONIALS on your Social Media page or Website passes this message below to your website visitors: “LOOK, YOU REALLY HAVE TO PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY, SEE THE MANY GOOD THINGS THEIR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THEM, THEY RENDER GOOD SERVICES”
Tell your customers today to give you their honest feedbacks so you can put on your website or tell them to write it on your social media page. Believe me, that may be all you need to turn website visitors into customers. You have lost way too many website visitors in the past who were scared making use of the service you render because your website lacked and still lacks TESTIMONIALS/ FEEDBACKS from customers. It’s time to make money in your business.
Best Regards

Nairaland / General / With Google, You Can Become A Professor Even Without Going To School by geeboy1(m): 9:55am On Apr 11, 2016
What a funny title for a short article. Google is a search engine so loved by all. Am sure some people don’t even know that asides google, there are still so many other search engines e.g Bing.com. In the search engine world, I would rather consider Google.com as an INDUSTRY LEADER.

Nairaland / General / The Internet Is A god, It Has Been Good To You. by geeboy1(m): 9:38am On Mar 30, 2016
The internet came into our lives and everything got better. Just as there are the many pros of the internet, so there are many cons too. A lot of us at least have jobs today because of the existence of the internet. I run a Bulk sms portal (www.smsfast.com.ng) and also a digital marketing agency, www.onlineacademy.com.ng , all these wouldn’t have been so if internet never existed. Thanks to Tim Berners Lee, that man invented the world wide web consortium (W3C), so we should hold him accountable for internet’s existence today. It is quite easy to forget the dark days without the internet because our memories have been clouded with the numerous developments that the internet has brought. I think I can remember one of the sad memories of the Dark Age without internet:
In my first year in the university, it was really a big task for students to sign the semester courses from respective course coordinators, long queues of students were always noticeable at the front of the offices of these course coordinating lecturers. You may have queued for 4 hours or more, finally its your turn to proceed into the lecturers office for signing and the lecturer comes out and says “ Ehmmm, lets continue this signing tomorrow, I have a meeting in 1 minute” , imagine how sad that would be…….. Finally, succor came, the university made an online portal where students could register their courses from any internet enabled device at the convenience of their rooms, in the toilet, just name it, printing of the form follows and course signing thereafter. This new development now gave the course coordinators the opportunity of downloading the total number of students that registered for their courses each semester, hence queuing for signing DIED A NATURAL DEATH.
A QUICK QUESTION: Can you go 48 hours without the internet now? Am sure you will feel almost dead if you try. Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, BBM etc wouldn’t have existed without the internet. The internet is indeed a god, simply put: god of communications, connectivity, information. HOW GOOD HAS THE INTERNET BEEN TO YOU?

Nairaland / General / Have You Wished Your Customers A Happy Easter Yet? (customer Relations 101) by geeboy1(m): 12:55pm On Mar 28, 2016
It is the last day of Easter, messages have been pouring in since last week, when will you send yours to your loyal customers? As little as this could sound, customers love being remembered. Customer relations refers to the way a business communicates and interacts with the public to gain and retain customers. It is very necessary for a business owner to cultivate good customer relations to attract and keep a loyal base of customers. Your Customer relations may have been “zero" before now, the good news is you can actually start now and do it so well within the shortest possible time. There are so many things you stand to gain from having a top notch Customer Relations. 1- It makes your customers stick to using your service.
2- Referrals- Those loyal customers of yours would refer their friends and family members to you.
And many more…….
Do note that excellent Customer relations isn’t all that guarantees patronage, so many other things are involved.
If you are serious about business, you should have a book where the names, phone numbers, emails of your customers are written. You really don’t have to wait for special days like Christmas, Easter before remembering to say hello to your customers. Beginning of the week, weekends, evenings....... I mean, anytime is good to say hello to customers.
If you have their email addresses, composing a fine Emails could be a good option to reach them.
If you have their phone numbers, sending Bulk SMS on websites like www.smsfast.com.ng , could be an option. Draft a message now and send to those customers, let them know you appreciate their patronage.

Webmasters / So I Heard You Prefer A Social Media Page To A WEBSITE by geeboy1(m): 11:10am On Mar 22, 2016
I was discussing with someone few days ago about the importance of having a business website and he said something funny that i really must share..... He said "why do i need to have a business website when i can easily create a facebook page for my business at no cost at all".....He further said "I dont see any difference between a facebook page and a website anyways".
The truth is, no one said it is mandatory having a website for your business, but one thing is certain " Having a business website portrays you a serious Business man". As little as it could cost having and running a website, having no website at all could be the KILL SWITCH for your business. A website is your DIGITAL HUB, so never compare it to a facebook page or a twitter handle. I have a quick question to ask you: Would you rather put your facebook page address or your twitter handle on your BUSINESS CARD instead of your company/business website?
The GOOD NEWS is: A good web designer will be able to build you a website based on your specifications. What are you still waiting for? Start thinking of a domain name for your business already. Remember, a well packaged business ATTRACT customers that WILL pay. This I am confident about.
