DETTY DECEMBER with Financial Intelligence

We are approaching the holiday season where the urge to spend is usually greater than the discipline to save and Invest.

Don’t fall for the impulse to spend all the hard earned Money you earned from January to December only to restart again next year.

We can still do both (Spend and Save) and be better off by January. One very important thing to do while you prepare for the holidays is to budget your SPENDINGS.

Don’t let January look like 62 days, it can be a long month if you blow all your money by December.

Have a lovely Holidays ahead

**Improve on trending skills that are relevant in the global market
**Don’t undersell your experience level, state your major experiences to make your prospective know that you are very qualified for the job.
**Go beyond the bare minimum with your profile overview

In order to succeed with freelancing you need to have a skillset that is in high demand and at the market needs.

If you don’t have a skillset that’s in high demand it's going to be virtually impossible to charge high rates.

Now the bigger the problem that you can solve the more you can charge clients.

Today I’m going to show you how to identify a skillset that you use, or how to find a “high value” skillset so that getting clients becomes way easier for you.

As a freelancer this may sound a little strange, but you’re really a B2B entrepreneur. If you’re not familiar with B2B it stands for business to business.

You’re really selling to businesses, not consumers.

If you were selling clothing, food, or something along those lines the selling strategy would be completely different.

The single best way to sell to businesses is to tie your skills or experience to align with a businesses priorities.

When you align your product or service with a businesses priorities there will always be massive demand for your services.

This is why freelance digital marketing, accounting, attorneys, IT, and software developers are in such demand.

A core operational function will always be a huge priority for a business.

So it doesn’t matter if you specialize in accounting, IT, graphic design, PPC advertising, data science, CRM management, or recruiting, etc.

The point is to develop a skillset will always align with executives priorities.

A lot of you probably already have skills or experience that can solve a big problem.

Some of you probably feel that you’ve been really good at your past jobs so you probably already know exactly what services you want to provide as a freelancer.

But for those of you that still aren’t sure what services you should provide the first thing that you’re going to want to do is see what is happening in the market.

We want to make sure that the skill you develop has a lot of clients searching for help with that skillset.

You can get inside information on this by going on Upwork and looking at what the highest paid freelancers do.

To do this you'll need to set up a client account so you can see what types of jobs the highest paid freelancers are doing on the platform.

You can’t do this from your freelancer account. Upwork’s platform is completely different for freelancers and clients.

The good news is that you can set up accounts for both and just go back and forth from one to the other.

Now inside of Upwork’s job search filters you will see a variety of categories that you can choose from.

You’ll see the category of work which could be for example, web design, web development, finance, etc.

You can filter by hourly rate, you can filter by freelancers that have worked over a certain amount of hours on the platform.

The best thing I recommend is that if you have no idea the skill you want to develop is to keep the category of work broad, but set the hourly rate, and hours worked on Upwork to the highest setting.

Because now Upwork’s algorithm will start to show you examples of freelancers profiles that meet that criteria. And you’re going to want to model the highest paying freelancers.

The next step is to get out a pen and piece of paper and really analyze their profiles and look for clues.

Look to see what jobs they are providing. Look to see how much they are charging. Write down if they have any certifications. This is a major hack, and very few people actually know about this.

Find 5 profiles that resonate with you and then pick one skillset that looks interesting to you and one that you would like to learn.

This process allows you to bet on sure things so that you have a huge edge over all of the other freelancers.

Once you’ve figured out the skill that you would like to learn, I recommend taking an online course to acquire more knowledge about the skill.

One more key important takeaway point to remember as a freelancer, you don’t need to be the best in the world, you just need to be good enough to solve the problem.

As long as you can help the client get to where they want to go that is all that matters.

So go out there and take some action and I wish you the best of luck!

Investment / Invest In Knowledge That Will Double Your Earnings As A Freelancer by GeeeAdebiyi: 9:32am On Dec 02, 2019
Congratulations on your Upwork Account approval,Now you are ready to connect with high paying clients and earn in dollars.

Cone to think of it,after your Upwork account has been approved, What next?

It is not just about account approval but having the genuine guidelines and information to make you land your first job. Having trained over 5,000 students in the last 4 years (over 800+ students this year alone) on Online and Remote work,I can confidently tell you that Freelancing is a profitable career or side hustle. However, to become a sought after freelancer, you must be very knowledgeable in your chosen Niche.
There are major tips on how to get high-value clients who pay huge bucks for quality work.

1. Start with building your profile

Your profile should be good enough to entice someone to hire you. Your skills should be clearly outlined so that a client can be confident about your prowess. In your profile, you should also write a brief description of yourself. It is also important to use your real identity.

2. Build your portfolio as you get hired for different jobs and include your reference point in proposals

A good portfolio is a best seller. Before you start earning big, you have to prove that you have the expertise. A portfolio may be your previous work samples or a writer website, also called a blog. This will display your level of competence and surely high-value clients will consider hiring you. Hence, you will start earning a decent pay. If you are a writer, a good portfolio can earn you several dollars for a few numbers of words you write. A reference point could be a social media page, a website or a decent portfolio. Usually, a quick link to your reference point is worth being included in writing proposals.

3. Send catchy proposals
Do not write lengthy proposals. T
he content should be brief and to the point. Include in the proposal on how you are planning on improving the status of the client’s business. Finish by a call to action by pointing out how willing you are to work with the client. Remember to sign out with gratitude before submitting your proposal.

For Example;

Hi,
I am very excited as I write this proposal! Why, you ask? Because I really love your business. I have always been passionate about physical fitness and self-improvement.
I have been working in the fitness and self-improvement industry for over 7 years now. Which means one thing, I have the experience you need to get your project done. I have done a similar project before and I really understand what clients out there need because I have been one too.
Kindly contact me on my inbox and we will discuss the project further. I am always available for interview.

Kind regards,

Stephen

Hello,
I have analyzed your project and I have fully understood your requirements. And am very interested to work with you in order to make sure that your project is a success.
Given the requirements of your project, and my level of experience, am convinced that I can deliver high-quality output that you will surely like and appreciate.
I have a lot to offer your business if only you can give me a chance.
Sounds interesting? Hit me on my inbox for more as we discuss the project. I will be waiting.

4. Be available online via Upwork mobile app and promptly attend interviews

High-value clients are always time conscious. When called to an interview, show up within the shortest time possible. This will also display your time management skills and your willingness to work for the job you are being interviewed for.

5. Pitch for high-value jobs

Probably due to the fear of the unknown, most freelancers do not pitch for expert-level jobs. However, there is usually no significant difference between entry, intermediate and expert level jobs on Upwork. Furthermore, there are entry-level jobs paying higher than some expert-level jobs.

6. Client’s hourly rate

Let the client’s hourly rate guide you. Clients with a large hourly rate are prone to pay you more if you work for them.

7. Build a team and outsource work

Once you have managed to earn the trust of many clients, you will start getting overwhelmed with work. It is humanly appropriate to train others and help them earn a few bucks. By making them work for you, you will earn more if you maintain your working rate. Outsourcing turns your career into a more profitable business.

These and many more you will benefit when you buzz me.

Career / Pursuing A Career In The UAE (dubai) Enquiries by GeeeAdebiyi: 10:39am On Mar 03, 2015
Working conditions
Salary & Working hours

Salaries in Dubai are usually similar to or greater than those paid in western countries.

Working conditions
But because the region has no personal taxation, net income is usually much greater, which is one of the major attractions of working in Dubai. In the past, remuneration packages were split into various elements: basic salary, car provision or allowance, housing provision or allowance, medical cover, education for children and air tickets for home visits. Today, however, most of the employers tend to just pay cash packages, which cover all these expenses, although in some cases there are performance or other bonuses.

In addition to their salary, contract workers are awarded an ‘indemnity’ at the end of the contract period. The indemnity is usually based on basic salary excluding any bonuses. The indemnity can be a significant amount of money if you’ve been working in Dubai for a long time, and many people manage either to accumulate a reasonable financial cushion or to live the high life. If you’re clever and disciplined, you should be able to do some of both. The indemnity has nothing to do with insurance but is an end-of-contract bonus which is required by law to be paid to expatriate workers as a sort of ‘thank-you’ for being of service to the state. (It’s also known as ‘end of service benefits’.) Indemnity scales usually amount to 21 days of basic pay per year of employment for the first five years and thereafter 30 days salary per year of employment.

Note that some Arab companies regularly delay the payment of salaries, cash flow problems being passed on to their staff. In this event, you have little alternative but to wait.

Working Hours & Overtime
The working week in Dubai tends to vary between 40 and 48 hours, depending on the particular company’s policy. Office hours are usually from 8.30 or 9.00 am to 5.30 or 6.00 pm, but some companies also split the working day into two, usually from 8.00 to 1.00 and 4.00 to 7.00. There are no differences in time keeping between summer and winter. In the month of Ramadan, the working day is reduced to six hours and legally this should apply to all staff, but many companies only apply it to Muslims, who fast during daylight hours.

Friday is the Muslim rest day and, in the past many companies have Thursday-Friday as the weekend. However, nowadays the weekend is on Friday and Saturday since taking Thursday off would mean a reduction in the number of operational days in common with much of the rest of the world.

For the question insurance companies are also smart, your type of plan will determine how much they would contribute to your expensive health cost.
