kia and hyundia are high on aesthetics but low in real substance.

for those comparing toyotas and these cheap imitations, please

wait another 7 to 10yrs before you compare them!

@Pidzo,
That was quie an interesting piece. I'm particularly struck by the last statement:

"MultiChoice, which offers pay-TV on its DStv platform, is eyeing massive benefits from the looming blackout".

Sounds really true to type for DSTV. Always exploring all avenues to extinguish the flames of FTA anywhere they go
so that people will have no choice than to subscribe to their exorbitant packages. angry

those who truely know how to swim don't worry about drinking in water.

they almost always stay afloat- unless they deliberately want to go under water

for any reason.
Car Talk / Re: How To Get A Driver's License? by GeorgeD1(m): 5:05pm On Jun 17, 2012
lari03: @ George_D I think the question should be why is it possible for them to illegally produce a drivers license faster than the normal process entails, this is not just corruption but inefficiency at its worst, knowing the nature of Nigerians how many people will actually want to wait when they know there is a faster option?

well, it all has to do with us as individuals. not everybody prefers the 'faster option' as you're painting it.

why are we always like this as nigerians? why don't we ever want to take a little extra effort to read?

i just posted the authentic link for the frsc website above: https://www.nigeriadriverslicence.org/

it contains all the info anyone needs to know on renewal and/or obtaining a new license. it even contains faqs or
frequently asked questions including cost of license, duration and what to do if you lost yours. but apparently
nobody has so far has bothered to go there and find out. instead peeps are content with posting misleading and
outrightly naive statements on something they know next to nothing about. how gross!

Properties / Re: The Real Cost Of Building A 6 Bedroom Duplex (reloaded) by GeorgeD1(m): 5:18pm On Jun 16, 2012
Milady2012: Hi Guys. Very interesting tread this is. I am ready to start a new house project in Abuja ( a four/five bedroom bungalow) all en suite or at least three bathrooms.Can anyone give me an idea how much this could cost? I know it all depends on a lot of factors but just a rough estimate of a standard house with good/tasteful finishing will do. My kids will riot if I made them stay in anything less smiley

I have no definite building plan in place although I am exploring several ideas so im very much open to suggestions. I intend to have this house ready for occupation by december this year as we intend to vacation in naija this christmas and will be staying in this house. Furnishing for this house (beleive it or nt has been purchased and awaiting shipping)!!! I would not mind hearing from an architect and a QS. i need to move very fast with this.

Many thanks kiss

you can visit this website: http://www.mahal-goldfingers..co.uk/

he's the one handling my drawings and i can tell you the guy is good.
he also has a reliable quantity surveyor who will give you a clear statement
of the cost for each stage of your preferred building.
his number and email are on the website. best of luck.

‘Nigerians eat 15-yr-old
foreign reserved grains’ Written by Collins Nnabuife, Abuja
Friday, 25 May 2012

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Akinwunmi Adesina, has frowned on the rate at which Nigerians consume foreign rice, stressing they are 15-year-old foreign reserved grains. Dr Adesina said this while showing newsmen the locally-made Benue rice, at the secretariat of the ministry, in Abuja. The minister described the foreign grains as “better for livestocks,” stressing that some Nigerians imported those grains for selfish economic interest. He implored Nigerians to patronise the locally-produced rice, which he described as more nutritious than its foreign counterpart. He also described the Benue rice as a long parboiled rice, stressing that the rice would compete favourably in international community. The minister also displayed a locally- fabricated cassava processing machine, which was manufactured in Jos, Plateau State. He said the machine would cost N180,000, adding that the ministry was collaborating with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to make funds available for farmers. Dr Adesina had earlier announced the local purchasing order (LPO) for cassava grits for Nigerian processors. While announcing the LPO, the minister
said “the quantity of cassava grits require annually is about 480,000 metric tonnes,” adding that the stakeholders had been assured that 10 per cent was the starting point, since it had been proved that 50 per cent inclusion was possible. Dr Adesina said the emerging opportunity now opened to cassava farmers in the area of substituting 10 per cent of maize with cassava in poultry feed must be utilised.

is this news?

@Toba,
Your problem with nilesat is not the size of your dish but rather its quality and
installation. Badaru is also in lagos like yourself and is using a 3m dish for nilesat
with no problems. Remember we have talked about this on several occasions in the past?
